Premiere Pro Crashes

Hello,

Is there a way to prevent Premiere Pro from crashing the computer?

This occurs with basic text editing in Premier Pro almost daily recently...

Other open applications don't run any tasking processes simultanously.

Any configuration or CPU limit on the Premier Pro or Mac settings?

Premiere 2025 version 25.2.1 (Build2) Mac Os Ventura

Thanks.

Hi @Avatar55977840 - Are you saying your entire computer freezes not just premiere pro?   Which mac do you have?

I agree, Ventura should work fine, as it meets the minimum OS requirements. I was only trying to understand your reason for not upgrading. Ultimately, you should use whichever OS works best for your workflow.

Description of the issue: While editing with Premiere Pro, the computer screen freezes and has to be restarted from the power button.

No third party plugins or extensions in use. Ventura is the third newest Os on Mac, should be working fine.

Hi @Avatar55977840 - I'm glad you are back up and working.  Can you describe the crash, does Premiere just close?  Are you using any third party plugins or panels?  If it happens again can you send the project to jamiec@adobe.com

I'm also curious is there a reason you are using macOS Ventura?

Thanks, only using this version so far, and there's no dialogue since Premiere Pro crashes the computer... However, this week it has worked without crashing.

Hi @Avatar55977840 -  Thanks for submitting your bug report. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue.  Please see, How do I write a bug report?

Could you confirm whether this issue also occurred in a previous version of Premiere Pro, or if it started with the version you’re currently using?

Do you receive a crash dialog box?

Have you tried installing version 25.2.3?

We appreciate your patience and are here to support you.
