Project Manager adds or doubles the file extension of my materials after "Collect and Copy Files"

When I use Project Manager to "Collect Files and Copy to new Location", Premiere doubles the file extension of videos as seen below:

Now, since the file name has technically changed, I have to relink the files ONE BY ONE. Doesn't work even if I turnoff file extension in relinking my media since 075_3275's file name is now 075_3275.MXF

Anybody else having the same problem? How about a fix?

Thanks!

Same issue for me. I found a temporary fix. When you're relinking footage, in the "link media" window, deselect "file name" on the bottom right. Once i did that and found one of the files, it reconnected all the rest.
