Save and Auto Save Recognizing Changes to Project, But Not Actually Saving Them

I've been working on Premiere for over a decade, and this is one of the strangest things I've experienced...

I spent all Monday morning working on a project. Saved it throughout the editing session, etc. Opened up Premiere today and none of the work had actually saved - the project was where I had left off Sunday night.

The most frustrating (and confusing) part is that my Premiere project is acknowledging the last change made was Monday at 12:00p (exactly when I stopped working). All of the autosaves also acknowledge that I worked all morning, but none of them reflect the actual work that was done.

I'm mentally preparing myself to have lost 5 hours of work, but any ideas? Thanks in advance!

@jonw3,

Been there.... Painful.

I just don't see how it is possible for you to have what you're seeing. The possibilities I'd check would be that you had another project open and that's where the changes are. Or that you were working in a different sequence that is not open. Yes, no likely.

I'd also try to test whether the project literally did not change at all. I would take an early and later autosave, make copies just in case, unzip them, open in something like Notepad++ and do a comparison.
