Sequence panel tabs sticking when switching between sequences with multicams in 23.5, mac os

I do the following all day long: *while in multicam mode*, I make cuts and copy multicam clips from "stringout sequence A," then click on the sequence tab for "selects sequence B" to switch to sequence B, pick a place on the timeline and paste the clips into sequence B, then click on the sequence tab for sequence A to go back. And very often in v23.5, seemingly due to the lagging multicam response time and possibly interaction with the timecode ticker when choosing a spot to paste, Premiere glitches out and makes the sequence tab "sticky" w/ my click long after I've released the mouse. This usually results in the sequence panel for sequence B detaching and reattaching somewhere else (or even popping up into its own window sometimes). This never happened in previous versions. If I had the patience to wait for every delay in Premiere to fully resolve before my next mouse click, it probably wouldn't happen, but when you're trying to move quickly and frictionlessly, it's incredibly annoying. And again-- never happened in previous versions.

Same problem here. I'm on PP2025 v25.5.0 Build 13 editing 4K .mxf footage from a Sony FX3 in a 4k sequence. Long form documentary, approx. 94mins of footage in the timeline. I work with an MacStudio M1 Ultra with 128GB memory. This drives me nuts because i have to reconfigure my layout like 10 times a day. PLS FIX ASAP! This has been going on for years now.

Hi,

I read your notes. I understand that you are having a sticky UI issue in the current software, and it is reproducible. Would you like me to move your post into the Bugs forum? Let me know. I hope we can help you  with a fix.

Thanks,
Kevin

Yes , I've been having the same problem - for years and across many updates. (I'm curremtly on  Mac OS 25.1.0)

Sequence tab will "stick" to a cursor drag and split into two, or worse gets dragged into the source or program tabs. Slows me down endlessly as I'm trying to edit source monitor sequence to sequence etc.  I've always suspected it has sopmething to do with my use of a wacom pen/tablet. But it's happened the few times ive reluctantly resorted to a mouse

I've never seen this, @Richard Shaw NZ, and I'm on macOS. I rarely use multicam, though. Is this specifically with a multcam oriented workflow? Let me know.

Thanks,
Kevin

No not with multicam- most usually when I'm editing from a sequence loaded into the source monitor-  cutting into a sequence in the timeline.  The source seq tab will stick and get dragged/split, usually into the 2- up timeline split. I'll try and screen record some today

Just opened the 2025 version and the problem still remains. Adobe, is this some kind of a joke?!

This exact problem is still there, can't even express how annoying and stupid this is

I have the same problem! For some reason, when I switch sequence tabs in the timeline panel Premiere behaves as if I have clicked and dragged the panel and when I click on something, it releases the panel and splits it into 2. I thought this would be fixed in the 24.4.1 update but it hasn't yet.
