Severe Timeline Freezing & Crashes in Premiere Pro 2025

The timeline keeps freezing in several different ways, especially when it gets filled up with heavy projects like weddings or long multi-layer edits.
When the timeline gets busy, the program starts lagging heavily, then completely freezes, and sometimes it even crashes and causes the entire system to hang.

This issue makes it very difficult to work on large projects.
Please investigate this problem urgently, as it seems specific to the 2025 version and wasn’t happening on previous releases.

I’ve just fixed the problem. I removed the link to the regular MP4 file, which was freezing the whole program. It’s a small MP4 file (35 MB), but it was being converted from M3U8 to MP4.

 

Maybe my response will be useful to someone.

I have the same issue. The timeline stuck and crash Premiere Pro application. Anyway my old projects work fine but the new one.. is just broken. I cant move on timeline..

Facing a serious problem in Premium 2025. In the running project all of sudden it gets freeze and machine hangsout.

 

Even though it a very small project, facing the same issue.

 

Please help to solve this problem

No, I don't receive a crash dialog box but I'm currently experiencing an issue where the playhead on the timeline keeps freezing or stuttering. Whenever I try to select a point or adjust the timing, the playhead doesn't move smoothly, which makes precise editing really difficult.ِ At the moment, there are no any another problems.
