Severe UI lag in 26.3.2

The timeline cursor is completely out of sync with playback - not just lagging behind, it's acting completely independently. It moves when playback is paused, it stays static when playing, basically moving at random. Making any changes causes the app to hang. Literally cannot edit.

Playback is poor too, it takes about 5 seconds from pressing play to getting playback, even though everything is fully rendered.

Resizing the timeline also causes severe lag.

    Hi @BHSal

Thanks for stopping by the Premiere forums again! I see you’re using Premiere v26.3.2 on PC. Can you confirm that you’re on Windows 11/10 and what driver version and build like Studio/Game Ready and some additional information with our bug report details.

Questions below are helpful for our troubleshooting:
    1) Does this happen in new, empty projects?
    2) Is it affecting all or just some projects, as well?
    3) What was the last working version of Premiere, maybe v26.3.0?
    4) Did anything notable change before this severe lag such as update to PC/driver/plugins or something else?
    5) Storage setup, local or network

There are a few known issues with Windows 11 specific lag for anyone using any type of Accessibility, such as Magnifier. To note, even if you didn’t toggle it on sometimes Steam games can, so I’d check that just in case. See this community post:

Along with that, do you have dual monitors or any external one and do they have matching resolution? We did note some had lag occurring when they were not matching or if someone had dual and now do not, but adjusted for high dpi and did not reset that.

If able, a dump file could be helpful for our engineers to see what exactly is happening. A full dump is a bit easier to do, just larger.

    Mini-Dump file:

    •  Process Explorer (from Microsoft) is required for a Mini-Dump.
      •  This website  provides the steps with screenshots.
      • Zip the file before sending.

    Full Dump file:

    1. Open Task Manager go to the Processes tab, and identify the Premiere process (you can use search to filter for only Premiere)
    2. Launch Premiere, work until it reaches that same delayed hang or unresponsive state
    3. Switch back to Task Manager and right click on Premiere then choose > Create dump file
    4. When it's finished, it tells you where it saves the .DMP file.
    5. It'll be large, but it ZIPs down smaller. So right click on the file and choose Compress to .ZIP file.

Then, you can DM me and either provide us the link/access to this file or I can send you a link to our Dropbox to drag/drop your upload onto, whatever's easiest.

    Hope to help!
