Shortcut "Timelines" randomly switching Sequences

Hi there!

Issue:

I'm having this bug for a while where the shortcut "Timelines" stopped taking me to the next Sequence in line. It used to always "take a step forward in the timeline stack", but now it randomly jumps around or skips at least one sequence when I use it.

Sometimes it does work, but as it mostly does not, I have unfortunately lost trust in the shortcut and stopped using it.

It's very efficient though, especially when there's a lot of different renders to do. So I thought I'd bring it to attention in the hopes of it being fixed or turning out to be an error of myself - to which I could adapt.

---

PR Version: 25.1.0. (Build 73)

System Info: Macbook Pro M4, 48 RAM, 1TB SSD

Operating System: Mac Sequoia 15.1.1

---

Used Formats: MP4, MOV, PSDs

Simple PR Sequence, 25frames, 1920x1080

---

Steps to reproduce: open multiple timelines and use the shortcut "timelines"
Expected result: PR jumps to the next timeline tab (to the right)

Actual result: skipping of a tab or "opening" seemingly random tab

Thanks & best!

I am unfortunately still encountering this issue - I've given more info a couple weeks ago (30th of April) - might this help?

Best, L

Hey there!

Jumping in this again because I just figured out that this occurs because:

The Shortcut "Timelines" seems to jump according to the order the sequences have last been opened.

So f.e. if I jump to Seq1, Seq4, Seq2 in this order, even though they are aligned numerically (1,2,3,4) and already "open" the tab section - the shortcut remembers the order I last "entered" the timeilnes in and that's what I was experiencing.

I was assuming that it would naturally jump "up the ladder" in the way my timeline stacks / tabs (not sure what the term is) are arranged and I kind of wish there would be some setting for it.

In case there is, I am all ears 🙂

Thanks and best!

Hi there!

It seems to be project specific, as I'm just now in a differnt one and it works just fine.

Hi there,

We're sorry to hear about this. I tried the Timelines shortcut & it seems to be working properly. Could you please confirm if this is happening with any specific project or all of them? Also, are you using any custom workspace split across multiple monitors?

Thanks,

Sumeet
