Special characters break when exporting markers to HTML.

Special characters, notably å, ä and ö break when named markers are exported as HTML.

Works fine when exporting to CSV or TXT however (see attached images).

This has been an issue since 25.6, and is forcing me through work requirements to run legacy 25.5 version.

      Welcome to the Premiere Pro forums! We are glad to see you here. Thanks for including those screenshots and explaining what’s happening when you try to export markers with those special characters as HTML exports. I did see you mention that it was working in Premiere v25.5 and displaying properly, but not correctly ever since Premiere v25.6. Confirming I saw your marker exports to CSV and TXT are working as well.
       

      I was curious if it would have the same issue in the most recent Premiere v26.2.2, so I exported markers with the same special characters as HTML with a similar end result, much like your other screenshot. Let’s try to narrow this down more!
