The search function in the project window isn't working. I type a known clip name in the search bar and get no results at all.

    Hi @Ryan Hensley

Thanks for stopping by the Premiere forums! I see you’re in Premiere v26.3. We do need a few more details to try to help like if Mac (and what macOS) or PC (whether Windows 11/10, plus what driver version & build) and other details from our bug report details.

    Some other thoughts:

    • Does it affect all projects or only some?
    • Does it affect new projects?
    • When did the problem first begin or did anything update or change when this happened?
    • Is your project still indexing clips?
    • Do you happen to be working from Premiere Productions I wonder?

Sometimes including a screen recording of what exactly is happening can be really helpful and it should be able to either attach here or you can link it to us from wherever here or by DM.

    Hope to help,
    Katie

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    I’m running v26.3.0 on a 2025 MAC Studio M3 Ultra, 96GB Memory, OS is Tahoe 26.3.1

Seems like it is only happening in this particular project. I just noticed today that the search function wasn’t working this morning. Upon project opening, the project did complete an index.

I am not working in a premiere productions.

@Ryan Hensley Thanks for that additional info. Okay, so it’s just happening right now in that project, that’s helpful to know. So after it indexed after opening, it’s still not working, correct? Curious if something went awry with the indexing in there.

Try first clearing cache completely, then make a new project and import that one in, even if it means re-indexing, perhaps that’s a good thing in this case, as you should definitely be able to search clips like that.

Last thought, are you working with this locally or on a network?

Let us know if that helps resolve anything.
    Appreciate it,
    Katie
