Transcribing Prem 24.5 not responding

Great. Updated just now because Prem 24.4 (previous to 24.5) was crashing every time the transcribing function was used. It would crash just as it got to the end of EACH CLIP. 

 

Now, the transcribing function in the new Premiere 24.5 isn't working with proxy clips (made from Sony FX6 media) even though it works with the high res FX6 and Sony A7SIII media.  Two steps forward, one step back.

 

Working on Mac Studio 2022 M1 Max 32gb ram, OS Monterey 12.6. Thanks.

    New Transcribe-related issue - now that I've plugged the full res clips back in, I've been able to make the transcripts and am trying to edit but guess what? The transcript isn't following the video even though the Follow Active Monitor is clearly ticked 'on'.

     

    So every time you make an edit and switch back to the source monitor, the Text panel defaults back to the beginning of the transcript and if it's two hours of material, it takes forever to find the point you left off at.

     

    Hard to understand how this can have changed from the previous version of Premiere. Small but agonising issue.
