"Transform cannot allocate a buffer larger than 30000 pixels in either dimension" when adding images of any size

Ever since the last update (26.2.2 Build 3) , I get the "Transform cannot allocate a buffer larger than 30000 pixels" error, mostly when I add images of any size. Sometimes nothing happens, but usually the second I try to move or scale the image, apply any effect (or even just move the image clip in the timeline), I get the error, and the playback window just turns black permanently until I restart Premiere.

Hi @Schmobert

Welcome to the Premiere Pro forums! We are glad to see you here. Thanks for including your Premiere version and information about the issue you’re having. I’m curious what your Transform > Scale is set to, is it over 300? Do you also have Motion > Scale scaled up as well? And can you let know the dimensions and DPI of even one image you’re definitely having this occur on? That’d be helpful.

We need a few more details to try to help with the issue. Please see, How do I write a bug report?

Sorry for the frustration and hope we can help soon!

Happy to help,
Katie
