Unable to update captions- the text just resets to the auto generated incorrect spellings

Welcome to the Premiere forums! We’re glad to see you here. We do need a few more details to try to help with the issue like computer specs, version/build of Premiere, if Windows what driver, etc. with our How do I write a bug report?

I take it when you imported the footage, you let it auto-transcribe or clicked on it to transcribe first. Can you correct the spellings in the Text Panel >Transcribe first, then do generate captions from transcript to see if they show up correctly? Do you get any error message with it rejecting the edits? 

It might also be helpful to show us what’s going on by including a screenshot/screen recording of what’s happening with the captions resetting like that.
