Premiere Pro Beta crashes when I try to use the top tools: File, Edit, Clip, etc.

I have done the recent updates, I tried restarting the software and the PC but it doesn't solve the problem. It will probably be fixed with the next update ?

@Kevin J. Monahan Jr. Hey Kevin, can you take a look here. He really wants to run the Beta, and it’s in Italian.

Maybe there is a problem running the Italian version?

But 26.02 is running fine in Italian?

If you look at my last post, I gave you a way to delete your user prefs. You can also try starting PP Beta while holding down Shift, and you should get a dialog offering to  clear your preferences and some other items. Do those and give it a try again.

done, I deleted all the preferences but it didn't solve the problem, it keeps crashing and the software doesn't respond anymore, then it restarts, then it crashes again and again.

Well, we’re running out of ideas to this unusual problem.

You can go to this folder and rename the 26.0 folder, and start PP beta, that will give you all fresh prefs and things:

    %UserProfile%\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro (Beta)

Paste it as is into File Explorer

Sorry, I don't think I understand. Can you please explain what to do? Look, I'll send a screenshot. Is this the correct version?

It’s an odd problem. Not something others seem to have. You say the shipping version 26.02 is working OK. I’m not seeing this problem here, or even other posts with that. Are you running your PC with OS Scaling?

Yes, I use OS resizing. Could this be the reason? Why?

I just recently had this bug.

Good evening, I haven't fixed this bug yet. I've done all the recent updates, but nothing has fixed it. Regular Premiere Pro works fine.

Well, I’ve seen it a number of times, and it still says zero.

Are you new here? Adobe just switched to a new website / forum software. So, no doubt there are some teething problems.

I understand, thank you. I've been using Adobe Creative Cloud for about 3 years. However, the problem hasn't been solved.

So it sounds like you have an ‘alt’ key, are you on a Windows machine? Give us some details on your hardware. So, no other program are showing such behavior, even the shipping version?

I’m on Win11 25H2 (clean) w/PP 26.2 b24, and I’m not seeing any issues with the system menu.

Those would normally be called the system menu. So, what, none of them fly open when you click them? Alt+F would normally open the File menu, can you give that a try?

Yes, those. When I click it, it opens slowly at first, then everything freezes, then it restarts and Premiere no longer responds. I also tried what you suggested, but it doesn't change anything. Normal Premiere works fine. However, I'm wondering why my post on the Premiere beta bug report isn't appearing. There have been updates in recent days, but the bug hasn't changed.

This post is in the beta forum. Have you had previous beta versions installed? If so, I take it they didn’t have a problem?
