Text Delete is not working

I create a sequence from a file, I choose Filler words, and delete all. Nothing happens. 

I select a spot of text and choose delete. Nothing happens.

    Premiere. I don’t know why it put this in Aero. I clicked the “Report a Bug” in the BETA version and it sent ne here
