Captivate

Greetings Experts!I would like to create a theme based on the Business Theme from Captivate. Make a couple of color settings changes and save it as a new theme. Not sure how to accomplish this or have been able to find 'how to' directions. Would someone direct me in the right direction or show me how to do this? All your help is greatly appreciated! Callahan

Hey Captivate community, I have run in to a strange issue with captive that I can't quite explain so I wanted to see if anyone else has seen this before.I have been recently publishing software simulation over the last week. I noticed that I can preview fine, and observe the preview from an export fine. However double clicking the index.html file from the exported project isn't working. It will load in my browser (Chrome) and when I click the play button a loading image comes up and then when the project finally loads most of the data is missing. Only the smart shapes remain and I can not advance beyond the first slide. Here is what this looks like. (FYI, these are tiny files no more than 5 - 10 Mb at most.)What is even more crazy to me is that it seems like the issue is occuing when I disable the playback bar from the Skin Editor. Hello ...... need help with this,  When trying to publish my captivate course to HTML5, Getting ".... not supported in html5 ...." Note:All the widgets worked perfectly in html5 before today, this is the first time i am seeing this ...... i did not change anything ...... Seems to be a bug in captivate .... thanks in advance for your help    

I recently added closed captioning to the existing audio in my lesson. The lesson worked fine before I added closed captioning. Also, it works fine in preview mode, and I can turn CC on and off without any problems. However, when I publish the lesson, it plays fine -- but buttons on the screen don't work. The symptoms are strange: on the first slide, the button's active area appears to be offset down by about 30 pixels, so I can still click the button. But on the next slide, the button does not appear to be active at all. This appears to be some type of bug. At first I used a mobile skin because the buttons were larger. Thinking it to be a bug with the skin, I changed it to the default skin and it still happens. Works in HTML5 preview, but not when published. One other strange symptom, if I leave the slide alone for a few minutes, I can then click the button. But I can't click it no matter what I try if I don't leave it alone.Details:I'm using Cp 2019 version 11.5.1.499 (the latest ver

Hello, will Adobe support executable output in future? The feature is all but useless now without Flash Player support.  What are the next steps for those of us who want executable output? Thanks. 

I was wondering if it was possible to play a sound from a button in captivate 4???I'm attaching sound to a button on a slide, but the sound plays before I even press the button. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or do I need to make the sound button in Flash and import it into my Captivate project?Thanks in advance for your help!

Is there a way to hide the Closed Captions(CC) once they have been displayed other than clicking on the little x box? I have a number of interaction slides with buttons on the left and on the right a content section where I'm using states for different content. The CC is only on the opening screen, but once it finishes they remain on the screen as normal until the viewer turns them off. I would like to be able to automatically turn them off, or hide them after they are displayed for a short period of time.  Once the various buttons on the left panel of the screen are selected the related states display the content on the right panel of the screen which is fine, but currently the CC is still displayed and it has no bearing on the content being presented. I'm using Captivate ver. 11.5.1.499 on Window 10 Pro

I am new to captivate. I create new interactive presentation. I click on the plus on the sign and add a 360 video mp4. The video appears on the slide but I cannot spin round 360 any more. What's wrong? Tried restarting a couple of times. no luck. thanks   

Hello - I am sure there are lots of posts on this but I did a quick search and none of them seem direct for what I need. I am behind with conversions with Flash support having ended and am looking for step by step instructions on exactly how to do it. Is it as simple as republishing from swf to HTML? Probably not right? Any and all assistance is appreciated. 

Help!   I have 260 smart shaps in one Demo and I need to copy and past them into the training slide by slide. each slide is exact and I just need to bring the smart shapes over. How do i do this without doing it slide by slide????? This is the first of over 200+ eLearnings. 

We have created 20 page slide course (Content 10 slide and Quiz 10 slide), When we run publish build it show total page ount "1 of 20", But we only want view Content slide count, exmple: "1 of 10", no want to see quistion slide count, Please help to resolve this issue

Hello. I have completed a long Captivate project. A colleague and I have tested it several times and it looks great. However, when a stakeholder views it, she claims the red highlight boxes are not where I had placed them.What is the issue? Do I need to secure them in place using coordinates? Thanks for your help. 

I am using the software demo, for the moment, to do interactive 360courses. But I cannot import video or images because all the choices in the menu bar are grayed out, I can only add text, hotspots and audio. Is this normal? All this doesn't make me want to buy it just yet.

We have a scenario where we want to consume multiple eLearning outputs in an existing product Online Help created using RoboHelp.If I copy the output folder to my RH project and refer that in the help topic it works and opens the eLearning output. However, the challenge is that if I have multiple eLearning outputs the project size becomes humongous.Is there a way where Captivate eLearning outputs can be hosted or stored? Does Adobe have any recommendation?

Let me first say that I know nothing about Captivate.  I'm a software engineer that is part of a devleopment team for a web based application.  Another member of our team is creating multiple computer based trainings for the application.  At this point, each CBT she produces has its own set of files & directories (ar, assets, callees, dr, vr, etc).  So, you have CBT #1 with all its files/directories and CBT #2 with all its files/directories.  Without knowing all the different components for Captivate, I'm sure there is alot of duplication here.  So, my question is:  When you have multiple "projects", which files are common and which files are unique to the "project"?    Thanks.

Hello All,Is there a way to change the notes for closed caption without it changing the generated audio voice from the notes.  My notes have commas where I need the generated voice to pause, yet the commas show on the closed caption. I need to remove the commas from the closed caption because the video is not passing clearance at my company because commas in places they should not be according to them but again they are there to allow the generated voice to pause.  So I need both. I have gone in several times to change the closed caption slide note but it also changes the text to speech option.   I did notice on the video I inserted in my project, I could go to "edit video timing" and change the closed caption removing the commas and the audio still has the pauses because it was a video inserted on the slide. Good evening,I am new to the forum and am very much a beginner. I have set up some hot spot quizzes and when I do a test run the issue I am having is when they get their second attempt. The second attempt I choose the correct answer and it still shows as incorrect and incorrect in the results. If I choose the correct area on the first attempt there are no problems.Any help is appreciated. ThanksSam

I have seen some posts form the past on this saying it is not possible to have closed captions show when audio is played with advanced actions. Is this still the case? All these updates and this still isn't figured out??Does anyone have any solutions other than having multiple text boxes that are timed, because that seems extremely tedious....

All,Is there an option in Captivate or LMS to track how much time spent by trainer during course learning?We want to measure it.  Thanks in advance

I have a 60-slide Adobe Captivate 2019 project that includes two video demo slides. Audio was added to the slides separately. The first video demo slide plays perfectly in Captivate when previewed using the timeline and when previewing in HTML5 in Chrome. The second video demo slide works fine if played on the timeline; however, when previewing the slide using HTML5, the video is missing from the slide while the audio and everything else plays as it should. What could be going on here? I have cleared the cache for both the project and my browser. Any solutions would be much appreciated. 

I am in the process of going through all of our Captivate modules and eliminating any non-HTML5 compliant elements. Several modules contain very long software simulations. On those simulations slides that have some sort of movement on them (i.e., scrolling down a screen), the HTML5 Tracker says, "Only animation image is supported." This indicates to me that these slides will present some kind of problem when published as HTML5. But I don't see any problems when I run the module in the SCORM cloud or when I preview as HTML5 in browser. The "animation images" seem to be working just fine. Do I need to modify these slides somehow? Should I just ignore this message in the HTML5 Tracker? What's going on?

I've created a video where a hotspot shows up where the user can go to another video for further explanation. On that video there's return button that Executes Advance Action that jumps to a bookmark in the original video so the user can continue from where they left off.   The script works but there appears to be a "flash frame" before it plays. How do I get rid of that? thanks

Hi All.So, I have a basic layout with 3 images, all with the same Y position and all with the Ease-In effect applied in the Timing Panel - Here is an image of that:MY PROBLEM comes in that when previewing as HTML5, or when publishing, the images do not end up where they should - the first does, the second slightly lower, and the third lower still - like steps. The end result is that the multistate objects they trigger overlaps then and the whole thing is off!Here is the result:How do I fix this, since their final positions are correct when editing the slide?Speedy assistance much appreciated since client is reviewing on Monday!Regards

I am publishing out two compliance courses and I'm having issues with one of them marking complete in our LMS. I built them at the same time with the same settings. I'm using the Forward clickbox on each slide to add 1 point to the overall "quiz total." And I'm using those points to tell the LMS when to mark the course complete.  That's working as it should within one course, but not in the other. And I noticed that both courses have the same exact Objective ID in the Quiz settings. Is that an issue at all? Can it be changed?  

Hi, I'm developing a compliance course that includes scenarios. We're not required to quiz our learners, so the scenarios they complete aren't set up as a quiz. I have some optional scenarios they can complete and those slides are at the end of the course. All scenarios have branching, so the learner isn't viewing all of the slides within a scenario.  Question: How do I get the course to mark complete once they reach the "completed" slide since there are slides after it (and they aren't viewing some of the scenario slides before it)? Is it possible to assign points to a slide?  Thanks, Kristen
