Captivate

Hi, Audio added to a item in the glossary sometimes doesn't play anymore when returning to the item.For example, I click on an item, then on another, and when I return to the first time, the audio doesn't play anymore (even after repeated clicking). Does anyone have a similar problem or a possible solution? Thank you very much!

So I have recorded audio for my e-learning course in Adobe audition. It sounds good in Audition and when played independently, but when I import it into Captivate it is sounding scratchy (best term I can describe). Any idea of how to fix this? This isn't my first time importing a .wav file from audition to Captivate, just the first time I've noticed a degredation in quality. Thoughts?

Good day everyone.  I'm publishing some WBTs using Captivate 2019 and the HTML5 setting (as opposed to video or executable).  When I play the resulting htm file on my computer, everything on screen is sized correctly.  Then when I copy the files to a shared drive so that my manager can review them, the resulting screen is sized very small -- perhaps a quarter of the size that it should be.  (Then I access the htm file on the shared drive and see the same thing.)  The navigation buttons all work, but given their size it's nearly impossible to click them, and we obviously don't want our trainees reading a very tiny size font for the lessons.  Any clues why this is happening, and/or a possible solution? 

We usually don't link to YouTube videos in our training, but we have a client that needs us to link to one. It works when I run it locally, but once in the LMS, it just shows that it's loading and never plays. Any ideas as to what is going on? Here's a screenshot of the videos and the Captivate Properties panel for the video. I am not using overlays. 

Hi all,I use the window.cpAPIInterface.navigateToTime(ms) method to let the user navigate to a certain time in a HTML5 module:the time is added to the url of the module as a parameterit is converted into millisecondsthe time in milliseconds is used in the method: when a user plays the movie, it starts at the time from the parameter. This works fine in Firefox and Chrome, (no errors at all), but Safari throws an error in the console:Unhandled Promise Rejection: AbortError: The operation was aborted. (anonymous function) rejectPromiseIt refers to line 11106 of CPM.js but it's a bit above and beyond my skills to understand and solve this.Questions:Is this a known bug?If so, is it a Captivate bug or a Safari bug?If not... Does anyone have any idea what's going wrong here?I can add my code if necessary...

I use eLearning Suite6.1.Until now, after creating the teaching materials, it was output in swf format.I want to change it to HTML5 format.and I want to change it while the ppt animation is working.I installed the trial version and tried the HTML5 format, but the animation doesn't work.Is there a way to change what I created in 6.1 to HTML5 format with animation?

I have inserted an image on the background of my slide masters.  When published to HTML, the image doesn't always appear.  The first time I published, the background on the 3rd slide didn't appear when played.  I republished and now the 3rd slide background appears, but the 8th slide backgroudn now doesn't appear.  SO, it is inconsistently not appearing.  When I move backward in the presentation and go back to a slide that didn't have the image, it sometimes appears and sometimes continues to be absent.  Any suggestions?

Hi, When I try to raise the volume in my video demo and save. it does not save. When I play the video it reverts to the original volume level. HELP! Any ideas on why this might be happening?

We use Captivate for the knowledge checks in our web-based training.  After the first quiz, it won't advance to the next .htm page in sequence.  It seems to lock up.  How do I ensure the quiz exits and advances to the next page?

I understand what an active and inactive object is, but I can't figure out how make an active object, inactive once it's on the timeline? Or, how to add a pause point to the object when it's on the timeline.  I did it once by accident but cannot replicate it.

Does anyone know if Interaction data tracks users clicking in all the shapes, icons, click boxes in a course before marking it complete? I am using Cp2019, I dont have Quiz or Knowledge check slides in my course.if i remove the checkmark, will that affect my SCORM file and how it behaves in the LMS?

Does Captivate allow for setting the player's default field of View for 360 videos?  I want to be be able to set the FOV as well as the default orientation of the 360 video. Thanks!

I am getting this error when loaded to an LMS and it will not play on the SCORM Cloud...  ERROR – unable to acquire LMS API, content may not play properly and results may not be recorded. Please contact technical support’ Success Factors. I have no idea what needs to be done in order for this to work. I have tried republishing with a different title but no luck. I am using Captivate 11.5.1.499. Thank you!

Preferences / Quiz / Reporting / Completion/Success Criteria on SCORM:If both, 'Slide Views' and 'Quiz' are checked, is it 'AND' (Specified number of Slides has to be reviewed AND the quiz has to be completed/passed) or 'OR' (just one of those conditions has to be met; whatever happens first) to report the course as 'Completed' / 'Success'?

When installing Adobe Captivate (2019 release) a blank white screen appears after the sign-in screen. Tried the instructions mentioned in https://helpx.adobe.com/in/captivate/kb/captivate-installation-blank-page-sign.html. . But dint help. Please suggest.

On the first slide I have four buttons with a question on each. I have a varaible set up for each question. When the student selects a question the vararible for that question increments by one and the project jumps to a new slide which includes the answer to the question selected as well as the other 3 questions. Upon entering the slide, an advanced actions checks to see if all four questions have been visited if so the next button appears. If not, continue. Everything works perfectly in the preview project mode. However, in HTML 5 some of the questions don't show up at all and some of them the object shows up but the question is missing. Strangely, the question will show up if you hover over the object. Any thoughts on what might be happening?This is what I want .... This is what I getThere should be no HTML issues with any of the actions I am using. FYI: I am using different slide instead of changing the state of each object because I want to add text for the screen reader

What is the recommended captivate settings for Saba 7.6. We have a simple project with 20 slides that have no quiz. All we want is for learners to view all of the slides and at then end have the scorm package mark successful. So far any setting we have tried has resulted in module content status as not evaluated. The same scorm package also gives the same status in scorm cloud. We tried incomplete complete and quiz passed with the same results. We tried Incomplete complete slide view percentage of 25% and same results. We updated the exit command in .js utilities file with the same results. Under more actions in the LMS it always states completed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Since the introduction of iPadOS, drag and drop doesn't function in Adobe Captivate published materials when using the default browser Safari. The reason for this is that the Safari browser loads the desktop view instead of the mobile view. If you switch to mobile view, the drag and drop works fine. I was wondering if injecting a line or two into my index.html or adding some JavaScript into my project to force iPad Safari to load my projects in mobile view. I don't really want to provide instructions to my iPad clients to switch to mobile view. It should be something more easy and seamless for them. 

Hello! I have created an interactive module on Adobe Captivate, but now realise that the learning platfrom my company uses may not be able to upload the SCORM/HTLM content as it was created (we use sharepoint - so can upload videos, and PowerPoints and other documents). Help! What are my options? I've used SCORM Cloud but there is a limit on how many people I can send the course to. Does anyone have any other free platforms they use for learners to be able to access SCORM conent . . . or any other advice for me? I'd hate to lose all the work I put into this course. Any help is appreciated!

Can the completion settings be set to Pass/Fail in Captivate SCORM 2004 4th edition?  If so, how do you change the settings?  We are moving from Cornerstone LMS to SuccessFactors LMS and were told that all settings must be changed to Pass/Fail in order for the faillure status to pass to the LMS.  Has anyone had this issue?  If so, how did you resolve it?  We also have courses setup with restricted attempts (i.e. 2 attempts), however it seems that SuccessFactors doesn't acknowledge the limited number of attempts and allows the user to retry the course as unlimited, by showing a "Continue" button.  Any help is appreciated as we are at a lost and need to resolve this issue ASAP.

Hi!  I'm new to Captivate and am trying to create a question and answer slide that will include four buttons for the user to choose from but requires selecting two of those four in order to advance to the next slide.  In other words, in order to get the question right, two specific buttons must be chosen out of the four.  It seems like drag and drop may be one way to achieve this (although to be honest I'm not sure if that is necessarily true) but I don't want the drag and drop feature.  I simply want to use four smart shapes turned into button that will show a success message and advance when the correct two buttons are chosen. Please help!  

Hi all- I'm troubleshooting an issue that users are experiencing with the Review Quiz button on the results screen in Captivate 2019.  For some reason, when you select the review quiz button the first time it comes up, it takes you to the next slide (which is the last slide of the project).  If you hit the back button and then press the Review Quiz button again, it actually takes you to review the quiz.  I'm stumped as to why this would be happening....Is there somewhere that I should be setting the review quiz settings? I do have the Quiz Pass or Fail settings action to continue, but I wouldn't think this would prevent the Review Quiz button from functioning. Since the review quiz does work when I go back to it, I know my quiz slides are setup properly. Thanks!

Hi there.I am new to captivate, so hopefully my question isn't too basic! In my math videos, I want students to be able to try some questions on thier own. I would have a button on the question that will reveal the answer to the question, but I want them to have the choice to move on if they have the correct answer or see a video or slide with the worked out solution if they choose.  Here is that pathway I would like to use:What would be the best way to accomplish this? Is there a better way to do this? Thank you kindly for any suggestions you have. I am slowly learning! Peter
