ColdFusion

I have written a basic page as a Proof of Concept that runs a basic query from a single table.  If I run the page via web browser the page displays the resultset form query but from CLI it fails with the error about the datasource not being found.Do I have to configure something to enable the CLI to be able to read the datasources?If I cannot figure this out, then I will have to switch languages to provide a CLI option for getting data into my system.Thank you for any information you can provide.Greg Howard

Since I began using CFBuilder 3.1 several months ago, there have been four times when CFBuilder just locks up at startup. The "processing" circle spins for a long time and the title bar says "(Not Responding)". The only way I've been able to solve this is to uninstall CFBuilder, delete the .settings, .project, and settings.xml files in all my projects, reinstall, and then recreate each project. Is there another way to go around this problem? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Conundrum - on both my CF 2016 Devlt and Production Servers a SERVER LEVEL CFSchedule Task that I have programatically created intermittently "dies" at midnight.  I have it scheduled to run every 60 seconds, but sometimes it seems to run at 11.59.something and then the CFSchedule "Next Run" date/time is set to a date/time far into the future.  For example, this is what the Scheduled Tasks Server Setting is now showing:Interval 1min 0secLast Run: 8/28/2017 11:59:22PMNext Run: 8/29/2017 6.38.22PM (??????????????????)Repeat: -1Remaining Count: InfiniteCluster: NOHere is the Code to boot off the CFSchedule Task:<cfschedule action = "update" task = "myTaskNameHere" interval = "60"url = "http:/xxx.com.au/sendMessages.cfm" onMisfire = "FIRENOW"onException = "REFIRE"> I am stumped.

we have 2 separate physical servers in a cluster behind a F5 bigip load balancer, with a separate websocket virtual server set up with both nodes.  I can't seem to get a websocket data push to propagate between the two servers.  if i have one node enabled, it works fine, but if i send a wspublish from one server, it doesn't show up on the other server.  any ideas?

I have a MySQL DB with 20 million records. I need to search through it to find certain records.But I don't want the query running so long that it brings down the DB server Long running queries have done this before.Is it possible to write code that says if this query is taking longer than 20 seconds then stop processing and output a messageLike "please try your query again later"

Hey,I'm running ColdFusion Dev 2016.0.03.301771. When I try to add a MySQL 5 Datasource to connect a DB I am getting the following error:Connection verification failed for data source: xxx1_dbnamejava.sql.SQLException: Timed out trying to establish connectionThe root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: Timed out trying to establish connectionAnyone know how I could fix this? I've tried reconfiguring the webserver configuration but it doesn’t seem to help. Could really use some help getting this setup.Thanks!

What is wrong with this Stored Proc ? It works fine in sqlplus but not with a CF call..I have created a simple Hello proc , and called from CF it works fine...Any help ? Thanks. Hello, all,I've got a virtual network running in VMware Workstation 11 that has two Ubuntu Servers (Trusty Tahr, CLI only) and a Windows 7 client (need the GUI for Workbench.)  It has been running smoothly for over two years.  Until yesterday.I started up my clients, opened a browser to go to the DEV environment, and the site came up fine.  Then I tried to log on to my site.  Error.  Checking the resulting email, it said something about trying to connect three times to the database and giving up.So I checked various logs and came across this in /var/log/mysql/error.log:IP address 'x.x.2.161' could not be resolved: Name or service not knownThis was never a problem in the last two years.  Why now?  And how can the system NOT resolve AN IP ADDRESS????Please advise.V/r,^ _ ^PS ColdFusion 11 running on Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS on one client; MySQL 5.6.33-0ubuntu0.14.04.1 on another client.

I have a calculation in Report Builder that possibly returns a value that contains a decimal. I need to truncate this value to an integer. "Floor" is not in the mathematical functions. Is there a way in Report Builder to truncate a value?Ex: 9.86 needs to appear as 9 not rounded to 10.

HiI've just recently installed CF11 on a new machine but I'm encountering the below issue when trying to navigate to the localhost directory in a browser.On my previous machine which was using CF10 I was able to get the directory listings and navigate through folders to specific pages so is it some setting that I am missing?I can navigate to CFAdmin okay and have added a whole range of aliases in my server.xml file which I can navigate to, as well as adding the CFIDE and WEB-INF ones.As an aside, I also seem to get that silly 404 badge in front of CFs debug output when I try and navigate to a page that doesn't yet exist. Is there a way to switch it off?If you need more details let me know.Thanks in advance

I am trying to create pdf in Hindi language via cfdocument tag using UTF-8 type of encoding.I could see the pdf in Hindi but not all characters are displayed properly.There is a issue with glyph and ligatures. I have tried all the major fonts but the results are same.I have added the required arguments in jvm settings also I have used the <cfprocessingdirective> tag. Can anyone please guide me on this issue.For example तिमाही is displayed as त िमाही and  द्विभाषी as दव िभाषी.

I'm reworking an old coldfusion website.Running the developer edition on my Win7 desktop, using the tomcat server (by default)Trying to do some things with mod_rewrite, but can't seem to locate the .htaccess file anywhere...Where would it be?Better still.....Should I reinstall the developer version to use IIS as the webserver to better work with mod_rewrite?It looks the live the site I'm reworking is actually hosted on IIS, so it might be a better idea to go the reinstall/IIS route?

Hello,I have a coldfusion 11 install on a windows server.I am trying to create a scheduled task with an eventhandler.Here is the error I am receiving:An error occured scheduling the task.Invalid eventhandler.Error: Eventhandler taskalert could not be found.The event handler cfc is located here:C:\ColdFusion11\cfusion\wwwroot\taskalert.cfcIn the box on the scheduled task I just entered taskalert because I dropped the cfc in the base directory.The directions say:Specify a dot-delimited CFC path under webroot, for example a.b.server (without the CFC extension). I am trying to setup localhost communication with ColdFusion 8.  I have downloaded and installed CF8 and Dreamweaver 8 on my Windows 7 computer, I have enabled IIS 7 under windows features, and my webroot seems to be understood by IIS. My CFIDE folder is located under inetpub/wwwroot.  In the IIS manager the CFIDE folder comes up under the default website tree.  But when I try to call on a cf script, I get this:When I try to call on my administrator I get this:I am extremely new to networking and I know nothing about setting webserver applications up.  I feel like this is probably a pretty simple and obvious problem and fix. I am trying to learn but I am having trouble finding where to start.Could anyone help?

Upgraded to CF 2016 (on Windows 2016 64 bit VM server with 2 CPUs and 4GB of ram), and have had a lot of issues with the server hanging, going very slow, and the CPU spiking to very close to 100% and never going down.  Usually a server/CF service restart fixes the issue for a while.  I'm rebooting the server sometimes 3-4 times a day.  This is the same code that worked fine w/o any issues like this in the past for years.  After a reboot things will look like normal for hours, and then just slowly deteriorate to the point where it's unusable.  It's kind of random too.  Sometimes 2-3 hours.  Sometimes 6, etc.  Sometimes it'll happen overnight when just a few scheduled tasks are running.  Things that have run for years w/o issue.I'm trying to tweak the java arguments to help resolve this thinking this is maybe the problem.  This is my jvm.config arguments:java.args=-server  -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -XX:+PrintGCDetails -XX:+PrintGCTimeStamp
