ColdFusion

We want to use ColdFusion to read a GreenPlum database.  We know that GreenPlum is based on Postgres, and Postgres is supported.  Are there plans to include GreenPlum is there a way to use it in ColdFusion 2016?

Are there any known limitation with using CSS paged media or guides on how to style a pdf when using cfhtmltopdf?

How can I get 100% control over the style of my PDF using coldfusion's cfhtmltopdf and css. I would like to know if CSS paged media or print css works with cfhtmltopdf.  I have successfully created PDFs. My normal CSS shows fine, it's just the @8546378 css and @media print calls are ignored.What does work is page-break-before: always but other page-break styling gets ignored.

Hello All,I recently purchased the ColdFusion Builder 2016 upgrade from CF Builder 2 to 2016.I have tried three time to install this application and each time it goes through the entire install and the log file show Successful for everything.Two Issues:1. When installing I enter my new Serial (CFB 2016) and it works but when I add Previous Serial (CFB 2) it does not accept it. I then choose to use the trial version which runs to completion without error.2. Some background: we recently upgraded from CF 10 to CF 2016, and moved to a new server (Windows Server 2012 R2, IIS 8).  All updates are installed for all of the above (cf version 2016.0.03.300466 and jvm version: 25.72-b15). HI,I am migrating to new pc and I am trying to deactive the licence on the my current pc. From what I can find about this I should be able to do this by accessing the help menuHelp > Adobe ColdFusion Builder DeactivationBut my help menu does not have this option, and i cant find any other way to do this.Does anyone know how to do this?ThanksAidan

I have recently installed CF10 on a Win 2008 R2 server it will open the main pages (index.cfm) but if I try to browse to the links within the site I get a 500  internal server error or 404 file not found. I have looked at a few articles in regards to creating a virtual directory named jakarta this works for only one site and seems to only work if I set that virtual directoyr to the wsconfig\1 folder. I am not familiar with CF by anymeans so if answers could be as rookie as possible. Thanks,

It appears that Adobe still has not addressed this issue, a year later?We just upgraded from CF9 to CF2016 on linux and ran into this issue tonight.A template that serves up a large sitemap with a lot of output created the error when Bingbot hit it tonight.  Note that this template does NOTHING with sessions.  It queries a datasource and spits out some XML.  That's it. I have a sub site that has it's own domain but otherwise is just a modified skin for the existing website. The sub site, while reproduces or content, is a domain that my company does not own. The sub site is for a retailer who is no longer a licensed retailer for my company. Because the domain is not ours, I cannot easily do a redirect or the site. I'm wondering if there is a way for me to create a script in my site that can stop the sub-site from using my content. parent company domain: companyname.comsub-site that's cloning and reskinning our site: companynameretailercity.comBoth domains licensed through same company. Sites are hosted on different web servers. I'm thinking this is a long shot. But thought I'd see what others may suggests. Ideally, I'd get the owner of the other domain to shut down his website. I have an app running in coldfusion 9 enterprise edition. I created a new server instance from CF admin and it got created successfully and its running(windows service).But my app is not working since I found that it is not pointing to this newly created instance.Why I made the conclusion that my app is not pointing to new server instance is because,I got "Data source not found" issue while running the app. So I checked the CF admin for newly created server instance(in an assumption that my app will be pointing to this new server instance) but that datasource was actually available there. But ,when I searched for the same datasource in the main server , I could not find it there. So I added the same datasource (by copying from new server instance) in the main server and then my app was running successfully. So I found that my app is not considering the newly created server instance instead it is pointing to main server.I am using IIS webserver.Could any one help/guide me resolve this i

I am trying to transition from cfeclipse.  When I type a '<' I want cfbuilder to insert the closing '>' like it did in cfeclipse.  If the tag I enter requires a closing tag then I type over the '>' with my own '>' and it closes the tag.So, typing '<cfdump' gets me <cfdump>typing '<cfoutput>' gets me '<cfoutput></cfoutput>'and so on.  Is there anyway to customize this behavior?

Hi,First off, I have an issue where my CF 10 cfchart is requiring the style attribute to be a json file.  From what I can see, this wasn't supposed to happen until CF 11, and there seems to be no way to set it to take an xml instead.Secondly, I have not been able to successfully convert the xml to json myself, and nor do I find the cfchart_xmltojson.sh/bat utility, which I also gather is for the CF 11 release.  Thus, if anyone has either some conversion rules, or this script linked somewhere - would be a great help.I am also in the process of trying to run the full webcharts3d generated file.wcp, but that seems to be failing for another reason, i.e. “Class not found: com.gp.api.jsp.MxServerComponent”, (though the correct jar(s) seem to be in place), though that might be a better subject for a separate thread.Thanks!

Hello, all,I have inherited a project that (sadly) uses CFFORM and some of the related elements, including a CFTEXTAREA with richtext="yes" attribute.  This application will take the text from an online news article and insert it into a database to be displayed on a local restricted webpage (with a link to the actual online article), as well as generate an email with all of that days entries and send it to a list of people who are signed up to receive said email.The datatype for the article text is CLOB (Oracle 12g).  The pages are set to UTF-8 encoding.  I believe the email is also set for type="html" with UTF-8 encoding.Every so often, text is entered that contains characters that FireFox v52.x.x and IE11 don't like, and are replaced with a black diamond icon that has a question mark inside it.  I believe this is happening with just apostrophe, but I can't swear to it.What is happening, and how do I correct it?V/r,^ _ ^

Yesterday a new CF11 server that we are prepping for production started spitting out these exceptions while performing a site security scan:java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot create a session after the response has been committed In googling I found some references to some Tomcat issues but nothing regarding ColdFusion. I know CF11 uses Tomcat but I have no idea what the error is or how to fix it. I am trying to format an excel sheet using vbscript.  This script works fine when i execute it in the server.  But when i call this script from my CF component file. On the following page, none of the links work:ColdFusion Help | Method summary No matter what method's link you click on, it gives you an "access denied" error, telling you that you do not have permission to view that page.If you look at the URL it tries to send you to, it starts with "helpx.stage.adobe.com" -- if you remove the word "stage" from that URL, then you can go to that page.  So clearly the links on the main page are broken -- they're sending you to the wrong URL.Hopefully someone from Adobe will see this and be able to fix it.Thanks,L.
