using select for jQuery auto complete performance issue

I use select controls for jQuery AutoComplete. Because jQuery Auto complete does not filter server return data, my cfquery returns thousands records to auto complete which has performance issue.here is my code to have my list and cfquery.My query returns thousands recrods and jQuery auto complete  does not filter the records. multi language characters

I have an applicaiton to support English, French and Spanish.There are some characters with accent on the top for French and Spanish shows funny characters on the web pages.I see some web site can display those characters correctly.I would like to know are there any configuarion to do to display those characters correctly.Your help and information is great appreciated,Regards,Iccsi,

cgi variable to get ip address, client machine and browser

I want to use CGI variable to get client information like IP Address, Machine Name and browser name and version,I just get REMOTE_ADDR for IP address, but I can not get machine name using REMOTE_HOST, nor browser information,I would like to know do I need any set at server level to get this client informaiton using CGI variable?If not, are there any server variable available to get client informaiton?Your help and information is great appreciated,Regards,Iccsi,

Webservice credentials not persisting?

CF 10; Have a webservice that requires basic auth. Set up just fine via the administrator (as ws1) with username and password. Can use ws1 not problem. However, a few days later, I start getting http 401 auth errors. For some reason, the credentials stop working in cfadmin. The account is just fine. If i hit update webservice, it refreshes the wsdl, and things work fine again for a few days. Is this a common problem? I can specify user/pass in my ws call, but I prefer not having that info sitting in code. Any help?

Need help understanding what an OOP Gateway is

Slowly and surely I am learning OOP with CF, but I'm stuck at the concept of gateways.  In my custom framework, when I want data, I simply do the following:<cfset myData = APPLICATION.coms.data.executeQuery(     sql = 'get-open-tickets',     data = {       'firstName' = 'Aegis',       'lastName' = 'Kleais'     }) />Basically it calls a singleton 'data' component I have stored in APPLICATION.coms and runs an executeQuery method.  This takes 2 arguments, sql (the name of the SQL file to load from a repository that contains all the SQL) and data (A structure that allows the sql file in question to reference dynamic data; in the above, the SQL being executed has access to ARGUMENTS.data.firstName and ARGUMENTS.data.lastName.The query is executed, SQL run, data returned, and I'm done.But from what I've gathered about gateways, I'm supposed to create an obje

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: coldfusion.security.ESAPIUtils

I get this error after upgrading from CF 9.0.1 to 9.0.2. I applied the cumulative HF 4 for 9.0.1 and then applied 9.0.2 CHF 1.Do I need to apply the previous CHF 2 and 3 for 9.0.1 first?Any ideas would be appreciated.

Multilingual support in ColdFusion

In my application I am using a form which contains around 70 fields , all are in english language.And there is a drop down in the top right corner of the browser which contains a list of around 30 languages like chineese , japanese , russian etc etc.When I select a language from this drop down my application should convert all the english text to the selected language.Any one have any idea about this , I mean any good approach.

Can implicit setters be created as private access instead of public?

I love CF10's auto generation of accessors, but in the event I wanted to create a Read-Only bean, I'm noticing that when I dump the getMetaData() on the object, that the setProperty() methods are set to Public Access.Does this mean that in order to have Private Access setters I have to tell the component: setter="false" on each property and then manually create a setProperty() method?I'd like to be able to just say: setName( 'value' ) in my code inside the CFC, but not have objectName.setName( 'value' ) accessible from other parts of the application.

Session is not ending with StructClear function

Normally, if we wanna clear a session we are doing it  with StructClear function. But I can see that it is not actually ending a user's session because the same CFID and CFTOKEN values are existing once we cleared a session. So this means that it is not really ending a session. right ?????. But If we are expiring these cookie values (CFID and CFTOKEN) then we can see new values for these cookie variables. Here we forcing coldfusion to make new values for these cookie variable but actaually it  has neither timed out nor has the onSessionEnd() event handler been invoked. Then my question is how the session is actually ending. But it will work if we are using StructClear function because it will clear a business logic identifier that signaled to your business logic.Any one has any thoughts on this.

linking dynamic data records to URL

I created a record set then use the record the record set to create a dynamic data to display all the records of that table from the database.I want to know how to link each record from the table to different URL when displayingI have like five fields in the the table i wan to use the name of each record as a link to anothe different url'Thanks

Remote database connection error

I have at least 10 sites set up on the same server, using the same settings and one site is giving me the error that the testing server is not mapped to mysite.com/_mmServerScripts/MMHTTPDB.phpI will call the problem site siteXIf I remove the testing server completely I get an unidentified error therefore something is communicating since it knows the difference is I have the remote server set up or not.I can connect to ftp files just fine.  I can also connect to the database using navicat.I am testing on the live server NOT local.I changed the ftp info to another site that IS working just to see it if would connect to the database using another sites FTP and I could succesfully connect siteX's database using the other sites FTP credentials.

Cert issue with Java 1.7 vs Java 1.6?

As part of our Java Update process, I’ve been updating the Java version that our ColdFusion servers (9.0.1 Cumulative Hotfix 4) use from Java 1.6_xx to 1.7_17. Overall, no issues, except… when trying to connect to a couple of internal servers via cfhttp (https).I have imported the existing certs, (that we have been using successfully with Java 1.6_xx) into the 1.7_17 keystore, and yet I get an  “I/O Exception: peer not authenticated” error. This in most cases, implies that the certificate is not valid. However, if I point ColdFusion back to Java 1.6_xx , it the cfhttp call works fine. My theory is that, for some reason, the certs are not “quite right” and whereas Java 1.6 accepted them, Java 1.7 is more strict in regards to certs.Has anyone else experienced this, or have some advice?Thanks in advance...

Problema with Migration CF8 for CF10

Hi,After that I installation CF10 FULL STANDART my codes in CF have a problem. Every queries with date not working and to working I have chande for <cfqueryparam ....>, but my application WEB is very big and this very difficult. What I have do? Hotfix? This is a BUG?This is error:Error Executing Database Query. Datepicker - how to add change year function

Debugging not working on CF10 development box. IsDebugMode returns false despite being enabled...

I just did a fresh install to try to fix this but no joy. All settings show that request debugging should work. I've used CF for years and can't figure out why it doesn't work.  I didn't enable the "secure server" option either.  I'm not using the Eclipse line debugger.  Could there be some registry setting balling this up?<cfif IsDebugMode()> Debugging should be working...  <cfelse>Nope, Debugging is Disabled</cfif>Any help appreciated.

sub report in column header

Infinite loop creating new page due to column header overflow. I have a sub report on the column header which works, Because my sub report return different records from data source, it fails and get infinite loop error message like above when I have 9 records, it works less than 9 records.I would like to know my sub report returns records some times more, are there any place for my subreport?Are there limit for sub report?Your help and information is great appreciated,Regards,Iccsi,

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError when updating in Weblogic

Weblogic 10.3Coldfusion 10 enterprise ed.Hello - I'm trying to find out why when we push an update from our Weblogic Admin server to our managed servers, we receive "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/rsa/cryptoj/o/bo" when trying to run some of our Coldfusion pages. Looks like it's dealing with the JDBC connections we've set up.The error will clear up if we bounce the managed server processes. I've read that this error is from the class being available at compile time but not at runtime.Does anyone know what might be happening?Thanks!

Undelivered E-mail Notification

We find that there are some undelivered e-mail stored in server. However, we did not receive any notification e-mail for these undelivered e-mail.To ensure all e-mail should be sent out, is there any setting for coldfusion to notify admin if there are any undelivered e-mails existed?

cfpop uid format - has commas in it

I am unable to reference/use the uid values in my cfpop query becasue they all have commas in them.  The documentation says that uid is "UID or a comma-separated list of UIDs to get or delete. Invalid UIDs are ignored."  But since there is a comma in the uid, none of them are showing as valid. Here is a short example list of the uid values I am seeing:1242171504.5738.mail16,S=77991256158656.31258.mail41,S=41871256160932.4879.mail4,S=5539Perhaps only part of these strings is really the uid?Thanks for any help/suggestions.  I searched Google and the forums but could not find a solutioin.  The last comment in the CF 8 documentation asks the same quesiton - http://livedocs.adobe.com/coldfusion/8/htmldocs/help.html?content=Tags_p-q_08.html but it is unanswered.Thank you,Cheryl

insert sub report error message

Object: TfrmWizardTemplate, frmWizardTemplateException:'String) into type (Boolean) when evaluation instruction OperEqual ($0' is not a value integer valueSee error log for stack trace.I got above error message while I insert a sub report to my report and I am unable to close Report Builde/ I had to use task manager to end task to close Report Builder.The cancel, previouse, Next and Finish buttons are disabled on the sureport source form.Your help and information is great appreciated,Regards,Iccsi,
