Can't clear a marker while timeline is playing

In the 2021 Premiere Pro version, I used to be able to clear a marker while the video is playing. But I can’t do that in Premiere 2026.

Can this be fixed please?

@Rach McIntire Hey there. The reason I was still using Premiere 2021 was because 2022-2025 had so many problems. You can see some that I’ve posted about in my post history, including the following link.

Premiere Pro 2024 - Scrolling & Zooming Timeline with Lots of Markers is Extremely Slow and Choppy | Community

Besides that, here’s more information about this issue

    • Issue – Pressing the keyboard shortcut to “Clear Marker” on a timeline marker while the timeline is playing doesn’t delete the marker. The marker doesn’t delete until the timeline is stopped or paused.
    • Steps to reproduce - play the timeline and use the keyboard shortcut for “Clear Marker” on a timeline marker while the timeline is playing.
    • Expected result – The marker should clear when I press the “Clear Marker” shortcut while watching my edit.
    • Actual result – The marker doesn’t delete until the timeline is stopped or paused.
    • Screen recording – (I think the problem is pretty straightforward to understand)
    • Adobe Premiere Pro version (with Problem) Premiere v 26.0.0 (Build 72)
    • Working Adobe Premiere Pro version (no issue) v.2021 - 15.4.1 - build 6 (Premiere 2021)
    • Operating system- Dell XPS 8960, Windows 11 Version 10.0.22631, Build 22631, i7-13700K Processor
    • GPU driver version - NVIDIA(R) GeForce RTX(TM) 3060 Ti 8GB GDDR6 (LHR), 32GB RAM
    • This affects all projects, old and new

Let me know what other information you need, and if the team is working on it. Thank you.
