Digital Editions

I use Digital Editions 3.0 on Windows 10 to transfer eBooks from Overdrive to my Nook Simple Touch, which I've been doing without any problems for a couple years.  Recently however, I've not been able to open ADE 3.  When I attempt to open the application, I get the loading cursor for a second or two, but the ADE window never opens at all. I've tried using ADE 4.X, and it opens as expected, but there is apparently a known issue with ADE 4.X and Nook Simple Touch where the eBooks aren't transferred correctly.  I've tried various suggestions for that issue, but with no success. Things I've tried to get ADE 3 working again (none have helped):Uninstall ADE 4Uninstall/reinstall ADE 3Delete "My Digital Editions" directory in my Documents folder & relaunch ADE I noticed a new error appears in the Windows event log whenever I attempt to open the application.  I've attached a text file containing the error report. Does anyone have advice for how to ge

I am trying to download Adobe Digital Editions version 3.0 on my mac device. I am getting an error saying "Adobe Digital Editions 3.0 needs to be updated. The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information. "I need the Adobe Digital Editions to access my textbook for an online class. 

Olá, bom dia. precisei formatar meu pc e não realizei o backup. Daí agora não consigo autorizar o pc para utilizar o adobe editions. aparece a informação: " você só pode autorizar este computador com uma id da abode que não tenha sido usado anteriormente para autorizar qualquer outro computador ou dispositivo móvel". Minha pergunta é se eu criar outra ID Eu vou conseguir autorizar este pc e vou conseguir acessar meus livros comprados?Obs. Eu tenho os pdf´s dos livros no celular. 

Aldiko. Impossible to open ebooks with my adobe id from the 23th of march with the trouble with android webview. Only free books withour DRM can be open. I cannot find solution. What to do?

Hello Sorry my english is not perfect.is it possible to re-initialize our library ????Like delete all files attached to books on my cumputer . I'd lke to perform a full reinitialization of my account on Adobe Digital application on a PCI had difficulty with the upload of a book and downloaded it several times ... but all the versions stay there even if I delete them in the files directly in the computer or even uninstall and reinstall Adobe ?!? What should i do ? 

Ich habe mir die Version 4.5.1.1 herunter geladen. Die Bücher lassen sich noch normal öffnen, ich kann dann allerdings nicht weiter blättern/scrollen. Die nächste Seite stellt sich lediglich dar, wenn das Format geändert wird.Hat jemand Erfahrungen mit diesem Problem?

This has been driving me nuts! I used to be able to transfer books - usually from local library - but now despite the same authorisation for both devices I am using it will not open them once I have dragged and dropped them to my Kobo. Actually, I've just re checked and now it won't even allow me to drag and drop. I lost version 3.0 after a crash, can't find it to download anywhere.  Downloaded 4.5.11 but it's not tied to the public library, ie. ADE is not an option to download a borrowed book.  Any ideas?Thank you.Wendy 

I've tried to reinstall, i've restarted the computer, i've tried to run the program as admin and i've tried disabling driver signature inforcement but nothing works.

Bonjour à tous,J'ai emprunté des livres à la biblioteque en format acsm, je souhaitais l'ouvrir avec Adobe Digital Edition pour le lire et le mettre sur ma liseuse. Or, à l'ouverture du fichier après la conversion (demande d'ouverture automatique), il me met un message d'erreur : "impossible d'ouvrir monlivre.epub. the above says it all i updated and now adobe editions is completely empty. I see files on my computer but cant open them and dont know how to get them back on digital editions.

I recently just downloaded Adobe Digital Editions and downloaded my e-book. When clicking next for next page, the whole app just hangs there on the same page. Anyone has an idea how i can troubleshoot this?

Hi evervyone, after implementing an eBook to Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.11, the book does not open after the progress bar ended. Afterwards, the software freezes. After reopening the software, sometime the eBook is not shown in the list. In case it appears in the list, I have to download it again, the progress bar starts again and the eBook does not open in the end and the programm freezes.Same happened after deinstalling 4.5.11 and installing 3.0. I also tried in both versione to rename the folder "My Digital Editions" - no effect. Thank you for your help! 

Bonjour,J'ai acheté le ebook "Traité de neuropsychologie de l'enfant" de Steve Majerus et suis incapable de l'ouvrir sur mon ordinateur. Je suis sous Linux et ai principalement besoin d'un PDF pour travailler sur ce livre.Adobe Digital Edition dans une VM l'ouvre, avec le ACSM, mais est très limité, je voudrais ouvrir un PDF avec mon application dédiée. A la vue du prix de l'ouvrage, en 2021, pouvoir avoir un PDF me paraît tout de même le minimum vital. Adobe pourrait-il tout simplement m'envoyer le PDF d'origine pour que je puisse travailler dessus dans de bonnes conditions ?Merci pour votre temps.

Ich kann auf meinem Tablet Samsung Tab S2 keine ID anlegen.Alles soll immer ganz einfach sein, einfach installieren, einfach anlegen, einfach loslegen! Aber es geht einfach nicht.Hier steht einfach alles auf englisch. Wer kann das denn lesen?So ein Mist mit dem ganzen einfach!Andreas 

Je suis bien connectée à Internet et je ne peux plus télécharger mes livres des bibliothèques.   J'ai essayé avec la version 3 et la version 4.  La BANQ a essayé de résoudre mon problème, mais sans résultat.  L'heure et la date sont exacts sur mon ordinateur.  Je travaille avec Windows 7.

Jag har en ny dator  med Win10 home. Standardmapparna Bilder, Dokument & Skrivbord syncroniseras med OneDrive vilket ej verkar gå att välja bort. Adobe Digital Edition insalleras delvis i mappen Dokument. Jag kan starta programmet och lägga till bibliotekslånad E-bok som vanligt men när jag skall läsa boken går det ej att bläddra. Jag behöver hjälp med detta.

How do I establish how many devices I have ADE authorized/activated on?I often update and gain access to new Windows, Android and Apple devices and need to know that those old devices which I no longer own are not registered/authorized with my ADE credentials.

Hi there, I have a problem since a few days, I can't open my ACSM files using Adobe Digital Editions, because when I try to open one I've got the message "Digital Editions could not connect to the activation server. Please make sure you are connected to the Internet."I've tried to uninstall ADE, install 3.0, unauthorize/authorize my Adobe ID, nothing works, still got the message above. I've got the latest version of the software (4.5.11.187303).Any help out here please ? 

I bought one book for my kid and it's impossible to open it ... I always receive the same message "Failed to get the license. Communication problems with the license server" PLEASE HELP ME! I'm getting crazy with this!!!

I have a KOBO account licenced to me which uses ADE to unlock DRM Books. Recently VS 4.5.11 would not open books there forethey could not be imported into my Calibre Library. I have uninstalled V4.5.11 and reinstalled VS 3 but still get the error.  Adobe Digital Editions Error Getting Licence.
