Digital Editions

I keep getting the message that I am not authorized to open the ebooks I get from the library. I only have this issue with library books. I have tried reauthorizing my account with ADE but that hasn't worked. I am using version 4.5.1.139278 on my desktop. U have also tried reauthorizing my eReader. Both say they are using the same account. When I open the ebook it says "This book is protected by DRM. Because you previously deauthorized your eReader, you need to re-import the book using Adobe Digital Editions." I tried erasing authorization and setting git up again but it still won't work. Tried different books and libraries but still have a problem. I spoke to Kobo and the library and they said kobo it as ADE problem. I have tried the manual deauthorizing through deleting the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept .Please help I can't use library books because of this!

Hello, I am using Adobe Digital Editions to read books for university. It works fine until I try to highlight a word or sentence, whether to copy it or use the highlight feature. Every time I try to highlight something, the entire application crashes. I was wondering if there is any way to fix this; if I uninstalled and then reinstalled the application, would my books still be there or would I have to re-download them? I do not want to risk losing the books. Thanks!

I've checked an ebook out of the library and want to download it into my Kobo Reader.  This time and the previous time I got an error message "CE Copy not allowed.  No permission to copy the book".  I don't want to copy it, just read it on my Kobo.  How do I resolve this?

Hi. It seems like this is a helpless issue. I need to authorize Adobe Digital Editions in myu devices and I just can't. I'm supposed to contact support so that they can help me resetting the authorization limit (or something similar) but support only sends me to this forum, which is really irritating. My adobe ID works just fine for anything else. It's just ADE that rejects it over and over again. I use ADE on PC (windows 64) and android (ADE native app and Aldiko). Nothing works! Any help will be appreciated. Cheers! /Rodri

Can your covert a copy in reader to PDF so a can move it from my iphone to Ipad? 

I had a previous adobe account and I deleted it, however it still seems to be authroized on my computer for digital editions. I can not erase this authorization as I have tried many times and followed steps outline on the webstie. I have already tried deleting and redownloading digitial edtions but it does not work. I need to authroize my computer on a new account but I can not since it is "already" authorized. I really need to solve this issue as I need to read the contents of the new download for a course. Hello. Recently I've downloaded Digital Editions to have access to a digital book. I would like to have access to the book on both of my devices (Android/Windows). Firstly, I downloaded the app on my phone and followed the steps to authorizing my account using my email. Everthing on my Android works perfectly the issue though is with my Windows PC. I downloaded the file off a university website and after signing in, the book I have on my Android doesn't show up for some reason only the Adobe tutorial book. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. 

I am trying to connect to Adobe digital editions but it is asking me for an Adobe ID that I don't have. It does recognize my email address. I can log in via Facebook. However, I need to get in via my Adobe ID in order to be able to transfer e-books from Adobe digital editions to my kobo from my Windows laptop. Can anyone help?

Once I install Adobe Digital Editions in a device, that device is authorized to open an e-book, but my question is if there is a way to be able to authorize a device in which Adobe Digital Editions doesn't work, maybe from another device which has Adobe Digital Editions...I'm talking about a computer with Ubuntu as operative system. Apparently, the computer doesn't get along with Adobe Digital Editions because even the fact that I was able to install it through Wine (a Windows program installer for Ubuntu), Adobe Digital Editions does nothing when I click on my acsm files to get them into readable epubs.So, I wonder if a device can be authorized to read a DRM protected epub if that device doesn't have Adobe Digital Editions installed. As I say, it would be desirable that one could authorize the device otherwise, from another device which does have Adobe Digital Editions.Thank you.

Hie I am facing an issue with the adobe digital edition authorisation with ebook store and it is not allowing to authorize my account and showing an error which says Activation server error .Code:E_Adept_request_expired.. Thanks,Ravinder Singh 

Hi there,The laptop i was using ADE on crashed on me. I have now installed ADE on my new laptop, but when i try to authorize this machine, i get the error"You can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices. Please try again."Can someone please help reset or deactivate the earlier computer i authorized? Or suggest an alternative resolution? Thanks very much.    

Ayer me descargué Adobe digital Edition 4.5 para poder bajarme unos e-book que habia comprado. Pero para autorizar el equipo me cree un Id de Adobe. Utilizando el mismo correo que utilice para la compra y una contraseña. Pero luego cuando la metía me decía que era incorrecta. Y lo siguiente que hice es desinstalarlo y descargármelo de nuevo y crearme otro Id de Adobe con mi segundo correo. Y los mismos problemas que con el anterior. Y sinceramente ya no se que hacer para poder autorizar al equipo.

Hello. I have downloaded this app to read my book. I have downloaded my book, the app and done everything accordingly as suggested but when I open my book in the app and try to change pages, it doesn't do that except for the book cover and the first page. It shows the page numbers to be changing while scrolling but the pages do not change. Please help me as soon as possible bcoz my classes have started and even got some work to do from this book. But due to this app, I am unable to do it.  

For some reason My ADE authorisation went down and I was unable to get it back. I tried all the solutions offered in the forum which I thought I could manage (not the Regedit) but nothing worked. I therefore took the nuclear option and opened a new account which authorised the computer with no problems. This appears to have overwritten the old account. I find that my ADE library is still accessible, but I am not sure of its functionality.  Will the books in the library still be accessible for download to Calibre from the new account. Will the new account effect the ability to transfer existing  books already in my  Calibre library onto my reader. Kobo tell me that there should be no problem with new purchases and they say they will reset my DRM settings. My ebook system involves Windows8-Kobo purchasing-download to ADE- transfer to Calibre library- transfer to SonyT2 reader

Descargué la aplicación de ADE en mi nuevo ordenador (Windows 10) al pasar a la opción de Lectura no funciona el av.página o re.pag se queda la pantalla en la primera hoja. Tengo el equipo autorizado y copié libros de mi antiguo ordenador al actual. Alguien puede decirme cual es el problema. Gracias.

hello,i cannot open my books and i can not find the files related to it. 

I am using a public library book app called BorrowBox and have downloaded an e-book to my PC using Adobe digital editions. The aim was to transfer the file to my e-reader. I want to use my local library rather than buying books all the time. Unfortunately my Kindle paper white e-reader does not accept e-pub format so I am trying to convert the book from e-pub to either pdf or text or doc.  It may be read only or password protected but any site I use to convert says it can't do it. Any ideas how I can read the book on my kindle? It apparently works on the kindle fire but that is no use to me.

I am having trouble getting into my account on Adobe Editions on my Macbook. I had Adobe Editions installed on my previous laptop and also have it on the app on my phone. I am able to install the program however I don't know how I'm supposed to access the book I've already bought. I can see it on my phone and the account associated correctly. There is no button or sign-in on the program on my Macbook so I don't know how I'm supposed to access anything. I was also told to authorize the download to my computer using my adobe login information, however, that does not work at all. 

How do I make sure the highlights are still there next time I open the book on my computer?I can't se a save-button, and I noticed that my highlighted sections disappear when I close the program down and reopen it.I use a PC.
