I'm having trouble with ADE, and need to De-Authorize it to Authorize it again. It has been Authorized to an old email, no longer in use, and I don't have the password. How do I eliminate that authorization, so I can re-authorize it with my current account? I've tried uninstalling, deleting the ADE folder in My Documents, deleting the two ADE Registry settings (which didn't seem to do anything), making sure the subdirectories are deleted, etc. After re-installing, ADE still shows existing books and is already authorized to the old address.

I've been at this for four and a half hours now and still can't figure it out, so I figured I'd give this a shot. Basically I'm having issues getting ADE to recognize my Nook device in order to download books onto it. I tried reached out to B&N tech support, and they said that it likely had something to do with my computer, as my Nook has the most up to date software update. So I tried using a completely different computer (was using Mac before, am now using a Windows), and it STILL isn't recognizing my Nook. I don't know why this is an issue, since last week I had no problem using my USB in order to download books from ADE. But when I tried this week, not only will it not work, but it also completely deleted the books i had downloaded on my Nook device. I'm just super confused and I wish this was more user-friendly. 

I've been using Adobe Digital Editions to read e-books on my MacBook Pro running Catalina and on my iPad Pro. Both had horizontal scrolling, but when I opened it on my Mac today, scrolling was vertical rather than horizontal. I don't see a way to change that back. Horizontal scrolling is preferable because it scrolls one page at a time. Vertical scrolling does not do that.

Non riesco a trasferire i mie ebooks dal PC al mio samsung S8 avendo sia sul PC che sul S8 l'applicazione ADE, sul S8 il download è attivato ma non vengono visualizzati il libri che ho sul PC. Qualcuno saprebbe darmi una dritta. Gazie

Hi, I have successfully read a book borrowed from a library on my Kobo, but I can't open the second book. It says this Kobo is not authorised.I tried to deauthorize (and then reauthorize), but it keeps saying the password is wrong. I can log in with my new password (I had forgotten the old one, so had to change it) on the adobe website to see my profile, but it seems in the adobe app this password is not known.My primary problem is: why has KObo forgotten the authorisation after 1 book?My secondary problem is: why can I not deauthorise? Thanks,Andrea

Dear customer support, I think it is your right  that you promote the digital editions software to apply DRM to most of the books in the industry. Which means that almost every customer has to deal with your software. And that would be fine for me. The only thing that i think is wrong that you make use of the older generation by adding a option to install Norton software for 30 days. That is just making use of your position. The millenial generation knows better that to install that unwanted pieces of software! so for me it is not that much of a problem. If you want to do DRM make it in a way that is not so annoying to people actually paying for the content.  Kind Regards,Sixbow   

Ich bekomme bei Adope Digital Edition unter Windows 10 folgende Fehlermeldung angezeigt:  Fehler beim Abrufen der Lizenz Lizenzserver-Kommikationsfehler: E_LIC_TOO_MANY_LOANS   Ich kann keine geliehenen ebooks aus der Bücherei runterladen. Habe die Adope ID schon gelöscht und neu autorisiert.

I cannot download Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.11. The following error message appears: C:\Users\Dave\AppData\Local\Temp\E_yFUXut.exe.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

I can't add a book to my digital editions.  It was purchased outside of the digital editions library.  When I try to deauthorize my account,  DE says unable to deauthorize. try again later. I am getting frustrated.. I need this ebook for a class.

Ik krijg mijn boeken niet met Adobe DE 4.5 in de e-reader KoBo De boeken zouden om jur. reden niet naar de e-reader mogen Wat te doen? 

I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions almost a week ago since I needed that to read a digital book called Principles of Marketing Scandinavian Edition. When I first downloaded it I authorized my computer with my Adobe ID (the same one as I am posting from) but I made something wrong and I could not use Digital Editions by phone or iPad.  This evening I deleted the authorization on my computer (the authorization information was in grey text, non-clickable before that) and re-authorized now when I try to open or get access to the book again through the computer it says that the license is used by another account... What can I do? The book was not cheap as it is for college studies so I appreciate any help in accessing the book again. Sincerely,Sandra

I have some epub files on my digital library and sometimes I want to open 2-3 books at once, reading them simultaneously.I know this feature is not currently supported, is there any future plan to eanble so ?

Yesterday I installed ADE 4.5 in order to read a book, no problem then. Today I am trying to open the ADE to continue reading and can't. Uninstalled and reinstalled ADE without rebooting the PC, nothing. ANy ideas, what's going on?

Bonjour, J'ai acheté des livres chez Belgique Loisirs et n'arrive pas à les lire sur mon pc ni les transféré sur ma Kobo. J'ai récemment changé d'ordinateur et depuis cela ne fonctionne plus.J'ai installé ADE sur le nouvel ordinateur, ai supprimé les autorisations sur le précédent et autorisé le nouveau mais quand j'essaie de transférer un livre vers ma liseuse ou le lire sur mon PC, j'ai les messages suivants :- ancien PC : téléchargement impossible - Erreur lors de l'obtention de la licence. Problème de communication avec le serveur de licences : E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER- Nouveau PC : Le compte fournisseur spécifié n'est pas associé à l'élement que vous essayez d'ouvrir. Veuillez réessayer. Quelqu'un peut m'aider ? J'ai contacté Belgique Loisirs et la seule réponse que j'ai reçue est "Suite à votre mail, je vous informe que ce message d’erreur est un souci au niveau des identifiants." puis plus rien, même après avoir insisté pour qu'ils m'aiden

Dear All,I hope to get some help from you all. Recently I installed Adobe Digital on my laptop and downloaded my ebooks purchahed from Society of Petroleum Engineers. It was all fine. I could read them. I used my Adobe id for authorization and therefore I am supposed to be able to read the e-books  on six different computers. I could install on my another laptop and also it worked fine. This was a few days ago. But today I see that I can not read open Adobe Digital Edition on my first main computer any more. On the second one it is still working. It does not help me. I need to read them on my main laptop with large double monitors. Error getting Licence. License Server Communication Problem E_STREAM_ERROR: Trying to download an e book from my local library. Downloaded a new Adobe Digital Edition v 4.5.11.187212. I didnt authorise it. when I got this error, I through perhaps I needed to authorise the software so signed up for a new Adobe account. Once authorised, I tried downloading the book again - same error. I also tried to download a different book - in case that was the problem. I see there are a few Error getting license issues on this forum - but couldnt find any with the E_STREAM_ERROR:The one I did find suggested that I try downloading from a different browser - I used Chrome and IE and got the same error.Any advice appreciated!Thanks

Hi, I have an android and I tried to authorize my phone on the digital editions app. I went to setting to authorize my phone and it will not allow me to scroll down and authorize. I have tried deleting the app,re uploading it everything possible. Please help if there is something else to do. Thank you 

Mon laptop a brisé et on me l'a changé pour un nouveau. Je ne savais pas que l'autorisation était liée au laptop et je n'y plus accès.Quand j'essaie d'autoriser Digital Editions pour mon nouveau laptop, j'obtiens l'erreur "Vous pouvez accorder une autorisation à cet ordinateur à condition de ne pas utiliser un ID Adobe déjà alloué à un autre ordinateur ou périphérique mobile. Veuillez réessayer."Qu'est-ce que je peux faire ? J'ai loué des livres et je veux les transférer sur ma Kobo.

I tried opening the PDF file in ADE 4.5 but it gave an error opening file. So I downgraded to 3.0 and it gives me an error Activation Server Error Code: E_ADEPT_INTERNAL. This is on Windows 7. I originally ran this on my smart phone and I am able to view this file on my phone. When I view the item info against the book listed in the library, it shows under Permissions that "The document is licensed for a different user account" I do not have have another account and the fact that I can view the file using the same account on my smartphone indicates that there is some problem that I cannot resolve at my end.

I have not had issues with ADE prior to ADE 4.0.  I have Yosemite on my IMac and I don't on my laptop and the problem with ADE is the same.  Any suggestions?
