Digital Editions

Hello all,      Over the past while I have been dealing with some ever growing frustrations with Digital Editions. I try to copy a book onto my Kobo E-reader and once it is downloaded onto the reader I get a message saying the device isn't authorized. On the computer digital editions shows that both the computer and the Kobo are authorized. On the Kobo itself it also shows that it is authorized. I have contacted many sources of support and end up being told to "de-authorized and reauthorize" my account to fix the problem. For a couple of months that solved the problem and then it would happen again. I have continued to do that until it no longer solved the problem. Now I am having to completely uninstall my Digital Editions and re-install it for it to wok. Previously I was running 4.5.5 (latest version) until today when I I took another piece of advice and installed 3.0.    Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? hi, i have purchased an an online textbook for university using Digital Edition. The app does not always allow me to use the highlighting option and freezes me out of accessing the text. I need to read chapters for a project. Please help!

I have checked and verified that I have the correct time, date and timezone for my computer. All are correct, and it still will not let me download my books and offers no other assistance to fix the problem. Has anyone else had this issue and know how to fix it?

Wer kann mir helfen? Nachdem ich ein Buch in das Programm laden wollte bekam ich die Meldung, dass das Programm unerwartet beendet wurde. Seitdem lässt es sich gar nicht mehr öffnen...

I'm trying to use digital edition 4.5. It works perfectly on my first MacBook. When I try to use it on a second authorized device, it starts the (it appears the page with the download but never really start it) download but never completes it. At the end (after some minutes) it says that there is an internet issues and to control my internet connection. (that works perfectly) why?Thanks

I really need help with downloading an ebook. Whenever I try to download it always says "Error getting license. License server communication problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FUFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER". I don't know why it keeps saying that? I literally just bought the ebook today. Anyone else had an issue like this before?

Hi.  i download books from the library.   sometimes i have several on the go at one time.  every time i download a new one, i have to delete all the old ones, and reauthorize my device, and then add them all again.  its incredibly annoying.  i shouldn't have to unauthorize and then authorize my device every single time i get a library book..  what can i do to fix this?

HelloI have on my apple mac the digital editions files which are protected.  I thought to transfer them I just needed to authorise my iPad mini. So I did this.  Then I noticed that my apple mac was not authorised so when I put my details in it would not let me as I had already authorised another device.  Can the authorised login be refreshed so I can authorise my mac before I authorise my iPad device?  The files are my course manuals and I need to be able to view them on my iPad.Many thanks.Michie

Ich kann manchmal Titel, die ich aus der Onleihe der Bücherei entliehen habe (vor allem Zeitschriften) nicht aus meinem ADE-Regal entfernen. Sie bleiben hartnäckig dort stehen, obwohl die Leifrist abgelaufen ist. Woran liegt das und wie kann ich sie dauerhaft entfernen ( mit dem Klick rechte Maustaste Aus dem regal entfernen funktioniert es nicht)? Wenn ich Zeitschriften aus der Bibliothek ausleihe und downloade, kann ich sie nicht gleich öffnen. Es funktioniert erst, wenn ich den Download in ADE rüberziehe. Früher konnte ich den Download gleich am PC öffnen. Seit ich neuen rechner habe, geht das nicht mehr. Ich habe die Version 4.5.6.

I keep having the following message appear when I try to authorise my computer.  I also get this message when I try to continue without authorising.  I have uninstalled the programme and installed again, and have restarted my computer and nothing works!

Hey everyone,I have the following problem: I have a tolino reader on which my Adobe-ID and password work (so it is the right ID and I'm using the right password). But for some reason I cannot authorizate my computer on the  Adobe Digital Editions. I opened 4.5 and all I see are two images that say "MISSING." Well, there are three others that I cannot find either. Can I recover the five very expensive set of books and how? I have a MAC will OS High Sierra.

I have Adobe Digital Editions for a purchased compendium of papers for a class at Harvard. Some of the articles print perfectly, some print with the last line missing, on every page of that article. It's hard to understand what the authors are arguing when significant lines are missing. And I don't see well enough to read the screen version. (nor can I scribble comments on it.)

I am running W10 with Fall Creator.v I have just followed the prompt to update Digital Editions to 4.5.7. - this is the first time I have used ADE since Fall Creator and since 4.5.7 was released. The update proceeded smoothly, but when I opened ADE my library had disappeared. The opening screen isI have downloaded and opened a new title with ADE and that appeared OK, but when I close and reopen ADE there are still no books there. If I try to add the new title I get the message that it is already on ADEI have tried to download 4.5.7 from the Adobe download page, but even if I search on 4.5.7 and then go to that download page, it immediately disappears and reloads the 4.5.6 download page. Has anyone any suggestions?

My issue is I have the free Adobe Acrobat reader on my laptop and mobile phone. I have an E-book and am able to highlight on both, but they're not able to sync with each other and I find myself doing double work as sometime I don't carry my laptop and whatever I highlight there doesn't go over to the phone and vice versa. Is there any way to get them to be able to connect so when I read on the phone and highlight it goes automatically to the laptop and vice versa. Thank you.

I'm trying to authorize my Adobe Digital Editions on my computer, but it gives me the following message: "You can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices." How do I fix this? I don't remember authorizing another computer with this e-mail, but if I did, it was a computer that no longer functions. Is there a way to de-authorize a computer remotely?

Receive a Activation Error trying to download from an e pub link.Have tried removing the activation from DE but it just says come back later (for days!). Then tried the alternative instruction to remove it from the Registry. Followed it and deleted the Key but it simply reappears and the activation option is greyed out.

HelloI have a problem with a ebook in epub format. It happens that in Adobe Digital Edition a blank space appears between a couple of paragraphs after a large amount of text. I checked in the xhtml file and there is no such space, in the css file the <p> tags have only one defined magin-top: 0.1875em;  page-break-after:auto;page-break-before:auto; do not understand why a large space is created from nothing. I assume it has to do with how ADE organizes the text that shows, the reflux of text, will that be?I sincerely appreciate the answers you can offer me

I’ve recently installed this app as it’s the only way I can download online titles for my university research and read them on the go. Upon reading through the first book I noticed that there were huge blank areas with captions nearby indicating there should be images there. I’ve read a similar forum on this problem which was first written in 2007 and NEVER SORTED OUT. Please can I have some answers as to why these images aren’t displaying and also, if they are unsupported formats, why these have not been added to supporting formats.
