I have a Kobo Glo & a Dell PC the runs on Windows 10 I fixed this infuriating by problem following those steps: PC:Uninstall Adobe Digital Editions (ADE)Reinstall ADE (make sure it's the 3.0 version)Erase PC authorization while in ADE: Press Ctrl + Shift + DReauhtorize it.Re-download the borrowed ebooksKobo:Deautorize it in its "Settings" menuConnect to the PCOpen ADE 3.0 on PCOpen the re-dowloaded books in ADEAuthorize the KoboCopy the eBooks to the Kobo using ADE softwareClose the ADE programDO NOT eject the Kobo from PC, simply unplug itThis worked for me

We would like to distribute Adobe Digital Editions to all our machines.  However, we do not want the "Authorize Your Computer" screen to come up and would like the "I want to authorize my computer without an ID" to be pre-set on installation.  Is this possible?

I'm using version 4.5.7 on windows 10.  I have a 2 in 1 acer s001 laptop which I use as a tablet and trying to scroll up or down on the page results in highlighting the text and my touchscreen keyboard pops up. Arrow keys do nothing, though pg up and pg down work. Any help appreciated.

I upgraded my Mac to Sierra OS and am unable to download books from the library now. I downloaded the newest edition of ADE and am receiving an error message License Server Communication Problem E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY OR PKCS12. I have made sure my computer is authorized and tried to de-authorize it but it wouldn't let me. I changed my password and that didn't work either. I made sure that ADE is allowed in my privacy controls and it appears in my Key Lock. I don't know what else I can do. Can you help>

So, I've been reading these forums trying to find an answer, but I haven't read about someone with the same problem. (If you know of a discussion where a solution was already posted, please link me if possible.) So, I decided to post this issue and see if anyone has some ideas about what to do.I'm running OS 10.6.8 and the most recent Adobe Digital Editions. ADE can open/download some acsm files perfectly fine. However, for many, the application unexpectedly quits as soon as I try to open the acsm file. I know it's not the file, since I can send the file to someone else who uses the same computer and ADE version, and he can open the acsm just fine. I also know it's probably not ADE itself or my connection/firewall/etc., since I can open/download other acsm files perfectly fine. However, there seems to be a large number of acsm files that simply won't work for me and cause ADE to quit unexpectedly. Like I said, these same files work for someone else running the same version of ADE. Wher

I downloaded the latest edition of Adobe Digital Editions but am getting a message License Server Communication Problem E_Auth_Bad_Device_Key or Pkcs12. I checked and my computer is authorized and it won't allow me to unauthorize it. I made sure my Privacy Controls allow ADE to be used and it also appears in my Key Lock. What isn't this working and how can I fix it?

When I opened my Adobe Digital Reader all my ebooks were gone. I deleted the reader and installed 4.5.7 but now I need help to retrieve my books from an old backup.

I have added new pdfs to Adobe Digital Editions on my PC but they doesn't syncronize to Digital Editions on my iPad. I have previously added pdfs that have syncronized.

When i download my e-boom to Adobe Digital Editor, I get this error: "Unable to download - Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER". I have autorized the account, but after i had to reboot my computer this problem arise. I look forward to any help!

Hi teamI'm using Adobe Digital Editions for the first time and have opened an .acsm file but the images and tables aren't displaying correctly. It's a uni textbook so it's pretty important that I see these images and tables properly! How can I fix this? Changing the font size doesn't help.Thank youKylie

Digital Editions 4.5 has been downloaded on Wind ows 10and has shown as completed successfully.  Selecting shortcut on desktop does not work nor does selecting program from list on start menu.  Why?

HiI just tried to download and install Digital Editions on my MacBook Pro, but get this message that ADE 4.5 "wants to access key "DIgital Editions" in your keytchain. To allow this, enter the "login" keychain password."I assume they want my Adobe ID password—what other password do I have!?!— but when I put it in it shakes no. I even gtried my admin password, no go.What do I do?Also, after a bit, a message popped up saying ADE 4.5 had installed, but when I double click on an ascm file I get the message "Unable to download. Errorr getting LIcense. License Server Communication Problem: E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY."I can only believe that refers to the login problem stated initially.Help would be much appreciated.Roy

I borrow ebooks from my local library. However, i can't seem to download anything on ADE 4.5.7 it doesn;t even show a "bookshelf" on the home page. Can anybody help me? I have uninstalled/installed a million times. And authorized/eraseauthorization a million times as well. It's quite frustrating. My ereader is just a paper weight lately!

I bought a book from google play book and wish read in my iPad Pro (iOS 11) using Adobe Digital Edition. However, it always pop out "Connection Error Detcted: Digital Editions could not connect to the fulfillment server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet."But i able to download and viewed in Windows 10 with Adobe Digital Edition.My question is, is there Adobe digital edition doesn't support view google play books such as EPUB or PDF format?

I have been trying to use Adobe Digital Editions to read an EPUB book I bought through Google Play Books on my Windows 10 PC. The major problem I have been having is with highlighting. I made highlights in a book yesterday, and reopened the book again today, but the book does not show the highlights. I did find the Annotations folder, and in the Annotations folder there is an .annot file with the same file name. I opened the annot file with a text reader, and my highlights are in the file. I just don't know why Adobe Digital Editions does not open the highlights in the annot file when I open the epub file it should be associated with.One problem I have noticed is that even though I open my file, I am unable to highlight. I know that if I want to highlight I can press "Copy to Library." Then it will make a copy of the file, and allow me to highlight. The new file will show as the same name with "- copy" at the end. Recently, my hard drive C: crashed and I lost all my Programs.  I re-installed Adobe Digital Editions on my new hard drive C: & added my e-books from a back-up drive.  After I installed the program, I had to change my Adobe ID password because the old did not work.  I also authorized this computer with this new C: drive. Now about 50% of my books are showing permissions errors - -  "The document is licensed for a different user account." What can be done so I can access all 100% of my e-books ?I am running Windows 10 & version 4.5.7.179634 of Digital Editions.  Need help to access all my books.

i recently purchased an eBook to run with Adobe Digital Editions, after downloading it (trying three times) half of my book is missing. I need this book for university and am very unhappy with the customer service I received from customer support. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue.

Hello,I signed up for a library card in order to loan ebooks from the library to read on my kobo touch but I can't actually read them on my ereader. I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions and can get the books to show up in there after downloading them from the library's Overdrive site but when they show up on my ereader and I click on them to read there is an error message saying I'm not authorized to read them. Now when I go into Digital Editions to try and re-add them to my device, I get an error message in ADE that says CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED - No permission to copy the book. I have tried authorizing my computer and device in ADE using my Overdrive username and my Adobe ID to no avail. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling ADE turning my Macbook on and off. And still nothing. It shouldn't be this hard to rent library ebooks! Does anyone know how to get this working? Or an app that works more seamlessly to get books onto the device?

Hello,Iam trying  to use ADE since 6month (including complete reinstallation of MacOS), but also now under MacOS 10.13.2 - ADE 4.5 does not work!Open then ASCM (> 100 pages paper) file from a public library, it open, download & freezes at the end of download when bar is 100%!After open close, sometimes then can open book, but also partially crashes when going through pages!Is that a common problem, known bug-fixes? Really disappointing to find book, but due to ADE I cannot proper read them!Edit: Trying to add multiple ascm files, it hangs also already at 100% of first one...Nachricht geändert durch Jörn
