How do reset my activations? I hate having to go thought this each time I get a new device.

Hi, I keep getting an error code when I try to authorize my computer to open a book.  Currently, when I click on the book I'm told that my computer is authorized without an ID (which is strange because I recently bought books for personal use and had to install ADE and authorize my computer in order to be able to copy them to my ebook reader. The error is Activation server error: e_auth_not_ready.The book was bought on Google books at work. I need to be able to read this book on different computers (not only my work or personal computer) so I need to authorize my computer so that I'll be able to make a copy of the book into a more flexible format. Please help

Been using my old Nook / OverDrive / ADE / B&N.com / etc. for years and it's been fine.  I think. I am running ADE 4.5.7 on Windows 10 with an old Nook.WORKS:  borrowing books from library (OverDrive), reading them on the computer, transferring them to my Nook, reading them on the Nook.  Yay!Also WORKS:  buying e-books at B&N.com, reading online at B&N, transferring to Nook, reading on the Nook.  Yay!What DOESN'T WORK:  When I click on my Nook in ADE, it only shows the books I've borrowed from the library.  It will not show the books that I've purchased (and are on my Nook).  What I'd like to do is move some of these purchased books off my Nook and copy them to my computer via ADE and still retain them in my library. I'm not sure if this just stopped working when I upgraded from 4.5.3 to 4.5.7, or if I just noticed it, or if this is functionality that I'm not supposed to have?  Anyone have any thoughts on whether I should be able

I have an older Nook.  I have a Mac running Sierra.  I got notice from my library that my book was available through OverDrive.  I downloaded the book successfully to the computer and it reads on the computer.  However, when I transfer it to the Nook, I get the message "This book has been returned.  Loan not on record"  On the computer, there is the 13 day banner across the book in ADE.  I deleted and reloaded ADE without any change.  What should be my next step?  Thanks.

Supposedly, ADE 4.5.7 was released today to address security vulnerabilities, however the "4.5.7" link on the download page still gives you 4.5.6.  Does anybody know of an alternate download location that provides the correct version of the software?

Login issues with adobe digital editions

Anyone know how to work with notes and bookmarks in library books in Adobe Digital Edition?I know how to create notes but once the book is "returned" to the library and I check it out again the notes are gone which really is annoying.KR/Charlotte

I have an adobe digital edition reader authorization (to read my acsm file), made WITHOUT an adobe digital edition account, on one pc; and have an adobe digital edition reader authorization (to read an identical acsm file), made WITH an adobe digital edition acconut, on another pc. I'd like to simply read that acsm file on both computers, but: on the pc where I have the account, I get the message "there are too many authorizations" and can't create the authorization; on the pc where I don't have the account I can still read the file but can't delete nor modify the authorization. I read that I can read an acsm file on up to six computers with that reader, if I have the account, so how shall I do to make it work on two?

I purchased an adobe digital editions book and it will not display properly. I have purchased a digital editions book before and it worked fine. Since the book did not display properly, I unauthorized my adobe account on my computer and reauthorized. It did not work. I uninstalled ADE and reinstalled it - several times even deleting all associated files and re-downloading. Did not work. In fact, the previous book now does not display properly anymore on my computer either. I am frustrated with my ADE. It should work properly with no display problems. But I can tell that words and images are missing from some pages on the book. This is absolutely not acceptable and I am disappointed that Adobe Digital Editions does not work properly and is full of issues and bugs.

One of our Overdrive users in having a problem with ADE crashing everytime she returns an Overdrive book. Despite it crashing the book is returned from her Overdrive account, but remains on ADE until you select "Remove from Library". She has a Windows 8 desktop PC and had installed ADE 3. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling etc which made no difference. I tried installing ADE 2 instead and still did the same thing! Anyone have an idea of how to fix this?

Hi,I can't seem to deauthorize Adobe Digital Editions on Mac OS X.9.5. I've followed the advice to hit the Cmd, Shift, and D buttons, and entered the password (that I just updated), but I get an error message that says:Unable to Erase Authorization. Please try after some time.I tried updating the software to the latest version (4.5.7), but that failed. I also tried uninstalling the program with MacCleanse and then reinstalling, but it failed to delete my login information. Any suggestions for how to fix this problem?Peter

I'm trying to add my husband to my adobe acct. so that he can also borrow books from the library. I only have adobe so that I can borrow online. Is there any way to be able to do this without having to pay?

I've been using Adobe Digital Editions as an e-reader on my iPad, by dragging books the app via iTunes.I just bought a book from Kobo, and since I don't care for the Kobo e-reader for my iPad (It doesn't allow me to look up stuff on the Internet), I download the book as:URLLink.acm.When I click on that, I see that I have options to open it with one of the following:Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 appReader Library.appReader.appWith the Adobe app, I get:Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_ACT_NOT_READYI get other errors with the other apps.I see that my Digital Editions app on my Mac has the option to erase authorization, but when I tried it, I got:"Unable to Erase Authorization.   Please try after some time".I tried again after some time.   I'm not sure I got the right password.   I think I have one for this web page and another for my reading.

Hi there,I've been getting an error when using Overdrive with my local library to access ePub books, using Adobe Digital Editions to read them on my Kobo eReader. Up until recently, I have been able to view any of the eBooks on my eReader (transferred through ADE), but now receive the error CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED, with prompts that my eReader is not authorised to access the book. I have deauthorised and reauthorised the eReader multiple times to no avail. I have attempted to deauthorise ADE on my computer, but because I have signed up to ADE with my Overdrive account (signed into with just a library card), I am now prompted for a password when deauthorising (which does not exist).Has anyone come across a fix for this issue? In addition, if I do manage to deauthorise ADE on my computer, will it be a problem when reauthorising ADE with Overdrive that I do not have a Username and password, and only have a library card?Thanks in advance.

Please use your Adobe ID to authorize your ereader with the kobo desktop application or adobe digital editions. I am getting this message and the only way to fix it is to reset my ereader, there has to be a better way, HELP!

I can download a library book to my computer(windows 10) in overdrive but it does not download to adobe digital editions(4.5) and so I cannot get the book to my ereader (kobo aura) PLEASE HELP

I recently purchased a 2nd hand Sony e-Reader to replace one that got water damaged, but now I can't load any new eBooks because ADE won't even open on my mac mini. The very first time I opened ADE on the Mac Mini, it did open. I group selected all the new ACSM files to add to my library, which is when it crashed the first time. Now it won't open at all. I have ADE installed on a macbook air as well, but now it's telling me that the new books I've purchased have already been authorized on another device.Great, so I've just spent $100 on new books that I can't open on either of my computers because of this shitty software!I've tried deleting ADE from my Mac Mini, re-installing, and re-installing an older version - which also doesn't seem to work, it keeps showing up as ADE 4.5 in my applications folder. Nothing works! Seriously Adobe? If this is the only way we have of accessing these books, you need to do better with this software. It's been clunky from day one, and now it's utterly us

I have downloaded book to nook but cannot find it. Tried to download same book and said it is already on nook. I have looked into library and not there.

I've got one book in my library right now and every other page (all odd pages) are blank. This is only the case for my 4th device authorization on a windows computer. everything seems to be ok on my iphone, ipad and MacBook. Is this just a technical issue for the windows edition?

I see how to change the size of text in e-books open with DEBut how can one change the size of diagrams and photos/I have a touch and that approach does not work.Thanks,John

I was recently forced to use Adobe Digital to open a electronic book from my library.I was able to figure out how to place bookmarks, but I can't figure out how to access the bookmarks that I have set.I have also not figured out how to read the instructions that are included with Abode Digital. All I can see is page one, in a size that is too small to comfortably read. But, clicking the arrow in the lower right hand corner or typing in a new page number will not advance the instructions to the next page.Thanks,John PS ~ I am also not sure that I can find this forum again. I purchased an e-book and downloaded it to one computer but now want to view it from a different computer. When I try to access the book, Digital Editions asks me for a vendor ID to open the e-book. What is the vendor ID #?

I'm using Adobe Pse 14 and I need to know if there Is there a way to use the eraser tool without it leaving  a "white line" on the edge I am erasing? when erasing I've noticed an edge remains (or is created) along the image I'm trying to erase. It is quite obvious and I can't get rid of it, especially when I'm stacking layers or if there is a dark layer beneath it. someone has to of seen this before and I want to know how to keep this from happening. It also happens with all erasers(especially the magic eraser) and all file formats jpeg's,  bmp's, png;s. Has anyone seen this and know how to eliminate it?  Thanks in advance.    C

Seule une partie de ma bibliothèque Kobo est intégrée dans Adobe ( dernière version mais c'était pareil avec la version 3). Auparavant elle l'était intégralement. Après un reset de l'ordi et réinstallation à partir d'un disque dur de sauvegarde, cela ne fonctionne plus...Et je ne peux donc pas on plus sauvgarder ma bibliothèque.merci de votre aide.BA
