I purchased a magazine.  The link requires adobe digital editions.  I downloaded the program to my PC.  When I try to open the .acsm file it doesn't know it should open in adobe digital editions.  What do I do?

I am unable to authoize my computer. ADE keeps giving me an error page.

I downloaded some books from my library while ADE was authorized anonymously, I subsequently authorized ADE with an Adobe ID.. I cannot open the books now. Is there anything I can do to read these books?

I'm very new to this & didn't understand the implication of not authorizing a pc before opening an e-book on it.  Now the SAT study guide I downloaded from the library, which I need for my teen, is on my work computer & not available to open at home. Is there any Adobe tech support I could call who could reset it for me? Or any other workaround? Time sensitive! Thanks.

Hi,I recently bought a new ereader.I wanted to activate it to be able to read books from my google/play book store.But I seem to have exceeded the maximum number of activations.Could you help me with this ?

I am using a DRM called Editionguard for my ebooks. Print permissions are set on ebooks via their web interface. When an ebook is downloaded and opened in ADE (login with AdobeID, authorize computer), the DRM permission allows printing up to a MAX page count of 2. However, this limit can be exceeded for unknown reasons. I have done all the troubleshooting with Editionguard support: Uninstall ADE, de-authorize Adobe ID, create new AdobeID, create new ebooks with same DRM settings. Also tried these on multiple different computers entirely, with the same results. Editionguard claims the DRM setting is working on THEIR end and thus sent me to Adobe for support, which only this forum is available (correct me if i'm wrong!).Slim chance anyone will have any advice to offer, but thanks for reading anyways...!The images below show the item info of a 2 page ebook which DRM is set to print a MAX of 2 pages (1 copy).However, I am able to print (for example) 6 pages (3 copies).After the first print

Hi, I've been having some problems with my kobo ID and adobe ID. I borrow ebooks from my local public library website and download them onto my kobo but when i tried to open the ebooks, it said that the ebook is protected by the Adobe Digital Rights Managements and not authorized for use with my Adobe ID whereas my Adobe ID and my Kobo ID are authorized. I used another library card to borrow ebooks, is that card not authorized with my Adobe ID? Is this a problem with my Adobe ID or a problem with my Kobo ID? Please help me.Thank you,Isabel

Hi, I have bought ebooks from christianbook.com which I have downloaded using ADE to my pc.Recently I am using kindle app for pc and also for iPad, not the hardware.I have also use Calibre to convert most of my ePub.Some which are protected but of course I am the authorised owner of the E-Books are not converted by Calibre.I have read helps for kindle hardwares. The message is as follows: An error has been detected. activation server error. digital editions encountered an error on the activation server. it is giving me this activation server error when I press authorize device

This is really annoying-says my kobo is not authorized to open this book.  I have ADE 4.5.6177148 and my kobo is an Aura HD 4.6.995.  I have de-authorized both, re-authorized both, removed ADE and re-installed.  Same thing every time and this just started about 4 days ago.  I can read the book on my computer in ADE but not on my Kobo.  It sucks that Adobe won't help in any situation, yet they want you to buy there products.

i am an IT support person. i have a user that purchased an e-book from a vendor. she installed it on her PC but she never created an Adobe account. so its locked to her PC. she wants to authorize it on some other computers but hasn't been able to up to this point. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am running ADE v. 4.5.6 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab with Android 4.4.2. The books I want to read does not show up in ADE, I have tried to deauthorize my Adobe ID and then authorize it again. Nothing happens. It works fine on my Windows 10 laptop but this is no alternative for me. Wjat is the problem ?Olle Överby

Hallo,ich habe meinen Computer vor vielen Jahren ohne ID autorisiert. Der ebook-reader (Trekstore Pyrus) wurde damals noch nicht autorisiert. Jetzt kann ich manche ebooks dort nicht lesen. Ich wollte die Autorisierung mit ID nachholen, aber das klappte nicht. Daraufhin habe ich die Autorisation gelöscht, um eine neue durchzuführen. Auch dies wird verweigert, weil angeblich andere Geräte damit autorisiert seien. Ich kenne keine. Die einzige Möglichkeit, die ich noch sehe, ist, dass ADOBE alle Geräte für die ID Hans@reinenhamburg.de löscht und anschließend die ganze ID, damit ich sie neu aufsetzen kann und den ebook-reader in die Autorisierung einbeziehe. Wie bekomme ich Kontakt zu dem zuständigen Supüport?

Hi experts,My old laptop died and I need to install ADE on my new one. I have two different ADE accounts because my husband and I have two different ereaders (both Kobos). I use his computer for the old Kobo and my laptop for the newer one. I just dowloaded ADE and it wants me to authorize the account but it wants to use the email I have linked with my general Adobe account. This is different from the one I have for ADE. I want to authorize ADE for the new computer using the same account as the dead computer. That way I can retrieve my books. Can someone explain in a not too technical way how to do this.

Adobe Digital Editions is constantly crashing on me. I need to use ADE for digital versions of the textbooks I use in university, and my highlighting and notes disappear whenever the system crashes so I constantly lose all my markup. I know the simplest solution is just using the paper books, but they are all so heavy to carry back and forth, so I liked having everything on my laptop. I know this is something Adobe just has to fix, but does anyone by chance have the same problem or any solutions? It's driving me nuts because the only platform I can use for my books is ADE.

I'm getting an error when trying to download an ebook. The error says fulfillment error F/13. What does this mean?

Is anyone else as frustrated as I am when trying to download e-books to put on a Kobo??? I've been downloading eBooks from CloudLibrary successfully for quite some time however recently I've started getting a message that tells me: the content you are trying to download does not correspond to the active Adobe ID. Never being one to give up I created a NEW email address and used this to create a NEW account. Was the problem solved??? That would be wishful thinking I’m afraid. Is there anyone out there who can help - Adobe certainly can't!!!

I was able to join 2 Adobe IDs and have them both authorized on my computer. All of my books now appear in ADE. I can open older books associated with my older ID, but I can not open newer books associated with my newer ID. When I try to open one, ADE asks me to authorize the computer for the ID associated with the book, even though it is showing as already authorized. When I proceed with the authorization, I get the message that this item is associated with a different ID. Somehow ADE no longer recognizes my new ID as being associated with my new books. I have erased authorizations, trashed the activation.dat file and reinstalled a fresh version of ADE, with no effect. Does anyone have any other ideas on how I can repair the association between my ID and my books? Thanks.

Hello. I am a first time user of ADE. When I want to authorize my computer with my adobe ID, the system shows me that my Adobe ID is already authrozied with other computer from before. Can someone help me to remove the previous authorization of my account, so I can authorize my own computer now? many thanks beforhand!

I have an older Adobe ID on my iMac and have a number of EPUB books in Adobe Digital Editions using this ID. I then bought a MacBook and set up a new Adobe ID and downloaded additional EPUB books with the new ID. I am not using my iMac for ADE any more and want all my EPUB books on my MacBook. I have joined my 2 Adobe ID's through https://adeactivate.adobe.com/ and I have checked to ensure my 2 ID's are now synced. Now, when I try to open an EPUB book in ADE   on my MacBook I get the message "Document is licensed for a different user account." I was expecting to be asked for authorization for my older account now that my accounts are synced, but I didn't get that option. Does anyone have any ideas on how to correct this? Thanks.

I just downloaded Adobe digital editions and I am trying to authorize my computer.  It is a mac book air. I keep getting the error message: Activation Server Error E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_DR_PKCS12.Any ideas?
