Digital Editions

Hi,I am trying to open a book from a public library and I am contantly getting the following error message: W_ADEPT_CORE_NO_LOAN_TOKENS_FOUND.I downloaded the book on the same day and did it through my "toline HD2" not the tolino cloud.I do have an Adobe ID, so that can not be the problem eighter. Did try several books with always the same error message.What am I doing wrong??Thanks!

I downloaded an ePub book from my library. It downloaded in .acsm format and demanded that I download Digital Editions to read it, which I did.  It won't open the book, however.  Error message: "Error! Check Activation."

Hoping another post might get a response...When trying to open a file I downloaded from NetGalley I get the below error message on my Kobo:Oops! This document couldn't be opened.This document is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management and is not currently authorized for use with your Adobe ID. Please sign in with the authorized Adobe ID and try again.As far as I can tell, the ID is the same. Maybe I need some help with fixing my ID as I don't even know how to find it. Or what I would do to make sure the ID is the same on both. I've had a similar problem before and cannot remember how I fixed it.

I recently downloaded some books from my local library which only use Adobe digital editions. I signed into digital editions with my Adobe ID, opened up the book and plugged in my e-reader to the computer. I selected from the drop-down menu over the e-reader to authorize the device and then copied the book to my e-reader. However, when I opened the book, it said that the e-reader was not authorized to open that product. I've tried several additional times to unauthorize and reauthorize the e-reader, but the book still will not read. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I bought an eBook from Google Books. When I try to open the .acsm file in Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 (on an Apple OS X 10.9.5 system), the one for the .epub downloads fine, but the one for the PDF version gives me this error:Unable to downloadError getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TYPE_UNKNOWN:   how to get past this?

Recently this has started happening - on November 18th it happened first, my entire 3,771+ library in ADE was duplicated.  Then, it happened again yesterday - so now I have 11, 646 books, but in reality, I only have about 3800.  I am using a Windows 7 laptop and have been using ADE for at least 4 years (first book was downloaded in March 2010) and am an excellent, very knowledgeable computer user (college instructor in computer skills, former mainframe programmer, former senior helpdesk analyst).  But the only way I can get my ADE to respond and delete these duplicates is one at a time -- as you can imagine that is EXTREMELY time-consuming and I wasn't even finished with the Nov 18th duplicates when it did it again on Dec 4th!!!FYI, the My Digital Editions folder only has one copy of the ePub files but they are showing up once, twice and now three times in the ADE interface.  Can anyone help me figure out what happened and how to fix it?I am about ready to copy and

I read that when you reinstall Adobe Digital Edition on the same computer or mobile that count as a new device and i want to know how many devices the Adobe Count for my ID because i made format few times to my smartphone and my laptop too and then I reinstall Adobe Digital Edition again. Now ADE has installed at three devices 2 smartphones and 1 tablet.Hope for your response.Thank you

Hello,On my ebook, I have received a message that says I need to install Adobe Flash.  I clicked on the link, have downloaded it about 4 times, gone through the steps and have gone back to the ebook.  It says under the first message that when I am done downloading Flash, to click the hyperlink.  The page refreshes to the same notice, almost as if it doesn't recognize the download.  I have tried this on both google chrome and Safari.I have a Macbook Pro.  I don't know if there is any special downloads needed for a Mac.  I need to get on this book for homework so a prompt response is appreciated.  Again, I have followed all the steps to complete the install, unless I am completely missing something.Thanks

ADE 4.5 keeps freezing up when turning pages on iMac running10.10.5.  Impossible to use.  Any ideas?

Hello,I would like to read my DRM protected PDF not with ADE reader, but with an external PDF reader. When I try to open my PDF I am asked to enter an UNLOCK password (see screenshot). I do not want to DeDRM, I just want to read my PDF with a non ADE.I tried the password of my Adobe login, but with no success. Do I have to enter a certain combination of Adobe-ID/password? Any idea?Thank you in advance

I have had a copy of ADE on a PC authorized with my Adobe ID for quite a while. However, that PC recently failed and had to be replaced. I installed ADE on the new PC but can't authorize it - the message is that is has been used on too many devices. Well, that is currently not true as, if it was in fact used on any devices, most are all now gone leaving just the replacement PC and one Sony eReader. I need to authorize the replacement PC to access the many ebooks I have on the eReader. What do I do?

Can i synch highlight, Notes and bookmarks across devices?!?I read a book on my Ipad/Computer and make hightlights, notes and bookmarks on one device... can they synch to the other devices?It does not work right now (using latest edition of the program and Adobe ID)

hi, when i'm trying to install the latest version of digital editions screen comes up that's asking me to accept the terms and conditions for some antivirus program, but the screen is bugged. I can't check f the box and click on agree, it just gets stuck. This is the screen that i get. how do I solve this?

Hello,Support chat were unable to assist and asked me to post here.We have recently re-imaged out workstations and re-installed Digital Editions 4.5.  When we try to authorise the computer we get the E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS error message, but we can't un-authorise as those workstations have been re-imaged.  Online help requests that we contact Adobe to reset the Adobe ID, but contacting Adobe takes you to online chat and online chat says "I will request you to visit Forums.Adobe.com because there is no support over here for this particular issue.". I'm therefore posting on this forum...Also you appear to have to authorise for every user on a workstation rather than the whole PC, is this correct?Anybody able to help?

Hi all,I posted this message originally in InDesign EPUBRe: InDesign CC, EPUB 3 and Typekit In summary, when I export a book from InDesign to EPUB 2.0.1, it's displaying perfectly in ADE and iBooks on iPad. When I export to EPUB 3, the font is not displaying, and it's reverting to a generic serif in both formats. Typekit support has looked at my file and generated an EPUB 3 which is displaying fine for me in iBooks but not in Digital Editions.I have "Include Embeddable Fonts" checked.Typekit can't replicate the problem so I'm coming here to see if anyone else has had this problem.Thank you,Ruth

Hallo, ich habe seit gestern folgende Fehlermeldung beim Laden von Büchern auf meinen E-Book Reader (Tolino) aus der onleihe: E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TYPE_UNKNOWN. Habe bereits überprüft ob ich die richtige ID hinterlegt habe. Das ist alles korrekt. Habe dies auch bei verschiedenen Büchern probiert. Immer die gleiche Fehlermeldung. Kann mir jemand helfen? I recently purchased an ebook from Google and would like to transfer it to my ebook reader. To do so, I have installed Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) and downloaded the ebook. When I am trying to open the downloaded file ADE asks my to authorize my computer, asking for vendor, vendor ID & password. I tried with: "vendor: google" and my adobe account ID & pw but it did not work. Please help me with this computer authorization. What ID & pw I am supposed to use? Thnx F. B.

Nook updated the software on my Simple Touch e-reader.  After the update, ADE required I reverify, and I did.  However, now when I try and open a book on my Nook, I receive the following message:  "Error Dianog User Not Activated."  I've tried reloading my books onto the Nook, but that does not resolve the problem.Any help with this issue would be appreciated.
