Is Digital Editions 4.0 compatible with Mac OS 10.12 (Sierra) ?

Hello, I want to understand the full functionality of Adobe Digital Editions. I would like to know if these books will take up space on my hard drive. If I have the book borrowed for 14 days; after 14 days it becomes inaccessible; So the following comes up when I 'open' a new book that has been downloaded:I want to know what is going on when it says "downloading content". I plan to download or borrow many books 3 months from now for research but I want to know how to properly delete them if I have to in order

I have downloaded an eBook and need Digital Editions to view it.  However, when I get to the Authorize Computer step, firstly it would say I do not have a connection (which is not true, as I am using that connection to access this forum), then it does start authorizing, but it just stalls there.  System Admin indicates that the program is still running, therefore not 'not responding', but it just goes on and on for hours.I have uninstalled the latest version, tried Digital Editions 3.0 and the same happened, and then tried Digital Editions 2.0.  Same is happening. Anything I missed?

My DE will not recognize  my Nook GlowLightPlus e-reader. I authorized the Nook with my Adobe ID.Any suggestions for troubleshooting?David

Alright, so I got the  'E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHED' error when trying to open an .ascm file. I've ...tried... talking to a adobe customer support rep but they sent me to the forums. On the forums however, it tells you to contact Adobe for a solution. When doing so, again, they send me to the exact place where it tells me to contact them.They also say that there can't be too many 'activations' (authorizations) since there are no activation servers for ADE.So I'm at a loss. What to do now? I cannot open the books I spent money on (locally), but I also cannot seem to find how to fix the bug, since support just throws me into a loop.Is there any place where I can ask adobe to reset the device limit, as E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS error in Adobe Digital Editions  suggests?(chat is not an option. They tell me there are no activation servers)

My Sony PRS505 will not be recognised by ADE. I have tried three different leads and It used to work but I installed Windows 10 and reinstalled Editions 3 and it just cant find the device

I downloaded an ebook.  I can enlarge fonts in the text of the book, but cannot figure a way to enlarge the tables and they are too tiny to read.  Any way to do this?

Trying to download books onto my kobo from the Public library.  When I click add to library in my adobe digital editions in will not allow me to select files in my download folder.

I have not been able to access DRM protected media for approx. 1 year. I have added and removed the authorization. I have made sure that the Adobe account in the media apps I use is the one I wish to access media on. Needless to say I have logged in, out. I have tried to speak with support, I have tried to speak with the respective app providers, and in the case of ebooks, with the libraries as well. Nobody seems to be able to explain to me how to be able to access my books. As it stands, I can download the books, I can see their covers in my lists of books, but I cannot actually open them, again, b/c I get a message saying "already authorized with a different Adobe ID". If someone knows how to remedy this, anddd allow me to open books for which this error has already occurred, it would be much appreciated. Bonjour,J'ai télécharger la dernière version d'adobe digital Edition l'année dernière. Tout marcher parfaitement bien et je pouvais lire mon e-book normalement. Cependant, aujourd'hui l'ADE ne s'ouvrait plus et du coup je ne peux accéder à mon e-book. Je l'ai désinstaller et réinstaller par la suite, mais rien ne marche. En conséquence, deux problèmes me sont arrivés :1. Comment peut-on rouvrir l'ADE ? 2. Est-ce-que l'e-book que j'ai acheté est perdu ?Pourriez-vous m'éclairer sur ces deux points ?

How can I transfer an ebook from my ADE library on my computer to my Sony-300 PRS ereader.  No display of my device appears on the left side of the library to drag the cover for transfer/download to my Sony

Hi, For several months now I haven't been able to use Digital Editions on my Macbook Pro as every time I try to open a downloaded book in the programme, a message appears saying 'E_ACT_NOT_READY'. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the programme several times which has never worked. I've also tried deauthorising my account, but each time it says 'Unable to eraze authorisation. Please try again later'. Any suggestions?

I have two problems:1. I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions to my desktop, I didn't sign in with my Adobe ID. Nevertheless I bought, read and I am able to manage my 2 e-books in my desktop. When I try to sign in it doesn't let me because I signed on a tablet. (Second problem)2. I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions to my tablet, after I have bought and installed all of it in my desktop. I was able to sign in in my tablet but I can't read anything. When I try to open the books I bought it says I can't because it has been opened in another account (which does not exist) I really need to have this e-books in my tablet.

When I try to download an ebook (.acsm file type?) on the iPhone an error pops up saying:"Digital Editions could not connect to the fulfillment server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet"I am connected to the internet and I have signed in to the app with my username and password, which is the same as what I use for the version of ADE that I downloaded onto my Mac laptop (which has no issues downloading books).What do I need to do to be able to read these books on my iPhone?!

   Have opened a valid ADE page and obtained an Adobe id with password, sms code and password confirmation. Computer and e-reader are authorized and e-reader is connectedHave downloaded ACSM files; double clicking on file does not result in opening of the file in ADE but in a  word soup in Word Pad.The E-book is not transferred to "Library" in ADE and cannot be transferred to e-reader.What's wrong/ what's my fault.                                                                           Thanking in advance/ J. Upgraded to Ad 4.5 and do have now the problem that every download of an eBook leads to a complete stop of every action. AD is blocked as well as the computer even a switch-off of the computer is not possible. The only possibility to come to a new start is disconnecting the Computer from electricity..Same problem occurs when downloading a book to my eBook-Reader.Bevor upgrading AD I was using an AD-Version 2 without such a problem. Not able to Download paid ebook on this iPad - it is driving me mad.  The message that I get is "FULFILLING " nothing happens, no matter what I try I cannot manage this, it's very poor show for Adobe and I think I would avoid in the future, it's just not reliable and they nee to sort this ongoing problem out.  Wake up Adobe management help your customers and then smell the coffee once they're run away. 

Hello,I am having some trouble with an ebook I just bought on booktopia.com.auSome pages don't seem to be loading. It is not just blank white pages, but no page visible at all in some places, just the grey background of Adobe Digital Editions. I found this adobe troubleshooting page which seems very promising: Blank pages or missing images when you read digital content (Digital Editions)yet when I follow the instructions Adobe Reader 7 is not an option to download, even though that is what this page tells me to do. As it is, I have Adobe Reader XI, but since the file I am having trouble with is an .ascm file, not a .pdf, I don't know how Adobe Reader would help at all.I am using Windows 8.1 on a PC. If anyone could help me get to the bottom of this, I would be very grateful.

Hi!I've seen this issue around here at this forum, but nowhere can I find a solution to it. I just downloaded Adobe Digital Editions on my macbook and iPhone, and I get the same error notification when I try to open a book (with the link that I received from the bookstore): Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USERI have an Adobe account, and I logged in with the correct details. I have never used ADE before, and I have never downloaded a book with ascm extension before.Any idea how to solve this issue?Thank you!Wieke

When I try to download ebooks from Kobo to Digital Additions I keep getting ' error check activation'. Please can anyone tell me what I need to do.Thank you, any assistance would be appreciated.

Your support page says this is the solution the excess activation issue Solution      If you received the error E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS, or run out of activations, contact us to have the activation count reset.Contacting the chat reps was useless. They said look in the forums. I can't find anything in the forums about resetting this count. PLEASE HELP. MY DEVICE IS LOCKED UP NOW AND USELESS UNTIL YOU RESET THE ACTIVATION COUNT.
