Digital Editions

I have been able to download an Epub book from my library onto Digital Editions on my Windows 10 PC. I then drop and drag it to the Files folder on my NookGlow. When I go to open it on the Nook, I get the message "Book is not activated for current ADE user". My Nook and computer are both activated to the same ADE ID. Barnes and Noble say its an Adobe issue. Any help is appreciated! 

Why do I get an error message when I try to move the book into my Kobo. It says no permission to copy book.

I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions 3.0 and authorized my computer without an ID to open my ebook. It worked fine but I wanted to open it on another computer as well but I couldn't. So I de-authorized my computer and tried to authorize again with an ID. Now I can't open my ebook on of any my computers. Not even the one I originally started with. Please help.

I bought several times the same ebook so I could tranfer it on 40 devices for all my students but the program dont reconize the difference and keep telling me I have  already transfer it too many times even though i haven't because it is a new and different file.What can I do to solve this problem? Because I realy need to be the one making the transfer for the kids and I already spent my money on those ebooks.Please help me!

Hello I am trying to download Adobe Digital Editions to access a textbook I bought online.  I can download the program but it won't authorize my computer.  It takes 30 min for it to say Authorizing and then an error message appears saying that is unable to connect to be authorized.

I downloaded Adobe digital edition for my e-book studying.But when i activate my computer, i made a mistake.I had to choose campus e-book store as the eBook Vendor, but i did not choose that.So i cannot open my e-book. I want to deactivate my computer, but there is no button to deactivate. What should i do?

My version of the Official Guide for GMAT 2017 Edition is painfully slow - whenever I enter a new page number, it takes about one full minute to load. I'm on a MacBook Pro running El Capitan. This is really irritating, since I paid for a useless book, and what's more irritating is that there's effectively no way to seek recompense other than this forum. At least Amazon will talk to you - should I just buy the Kindle version?

I am new to Adobe Digital Editions.  I just loaded several ebooks.  I noticed that one of the book titles was wrong.  I cannot seem to find the way to edit a book's title.  What am I doing wrong?  I would think this to be so simple, but I'm at a loss as to what to do.  Can anyone help me?

I am unable to deauthorize ADE on a computer running Windows 10 Home. I get an error message that instructs me to try later.  I searched the forum and found this was answered but could not follow the instructions since Windows 10 has no "Start" menu - just "restart" and "shut down".

I am unable to download library books onto my nook. This has been a huge issue for months with Nook and Adobe passing the blame back and forth. My computer is authorized without an ID in order for me to download books it must be authorized with an ID. When attempting to authorize my computer with an ID I am informed I have too many devices on the account, this is not true, I need my account reset please.  Apparently after installing and uninstalling  nook and adobe as instructed numerous times my account now has too many devices even though it was the SAME nook being installed. Who is in charge of resetting this and how do I get this resolved?

Hi,I know that this is an old topic and that the my provider can reset my activation but they refuse to as they state the cost is to high and want me to buy the book again. The background is that I bought a book and did not know that I had to activate it through Adobe Digital Edition. So when windows suggested a software I used that and that did not work. So I found the instructions hidden in customer service and installed Digital Edition. Unfortunately, the activation is not working as the "windows" software must have assigned some kind of ID to the book that I am not aware of and state that the book is already activated.So my question is, what are the costs that Adobe charge to reset the activation. If I know that I can talk to my provider again and hopefully make them unlock it. Thx,David

Issue     When you launch Adobe Digital Editions, you are asked to authorize the product. Then, the error E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS is displayed, indicating that all the authorizations allowed for Adobe Digital Editions on that machine have been used.Sometimes, you don't receive the error, but run out of activations after switching machines or replacing hardware.  Solution     If you received the error E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS, or run out of activations, contact us to have the activation count resetAgain I followed this contact us link and was taken to text chat. ADE isn't recognizing my device (NOOK) on the left hand column. I read the troubleshooting directions, which said to make sure my device is supported by ADE (it's on the list of approved devices), and to make sure that I plug it into a USB port on my computer before starting ADE (I did that too). My NOOK is not showing up on the left hand side of the ADE window where devices are supposed to be listed. I have a book that has been downloaded into ADE but I can't transfer to my NOOK. Please help, thanks!

I tried to reinstall ADE again but, it doesn't work!I used ADE & E-book properly, but at some point (I don't know when)ADE doesn't operate.In fact, it is open in the Winows task bar below the screen.and it's blinking (saying activated).But, the main screen of ADM is not opening at all.I can't click the icon. it's not working.Even if, I can see this small screen when I click ADE task bar Icon, but Main Program screen is not opening.I can't find the solution.Please help me.OS: Windows 7 Home Premium K SP1 (64Bit)Country: South KoreaProcessor: Intel Core i5-2430M @ 2.40GHzRAM: 4GB

license communications problem: E-Act-Not-Ready

I installed the Adobe Digital Edition and checked out a book from the library.  I connected my Nook Color to the computer but I do not see the nook icon in the Adobe Digitial Editions software so I cannot transfer the book to my nook.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this to work?

Hello.I have bought a book, made notes and highlights in it and now i cannot find them. I don't understand why D.E. haven't saved them and I can't find a way to retrieve them.. Please help!

the past few days the APP has slowed down a lot, the image gets stucked between pages, alos it shuts after Boeing highlighting forma while and nothing is saved so you ha esto start over again. Can YouTube salve the problem please? is there a new update that is sutil not avaible? the software usted is IOS 10.2. Thank you.

I use ADE to get books from my local library.  After I've read them they expire or I return them.  However, ADE leaves the epub file on my hard drive.  Is there an easy way to remove these expired/returned epubs from my hard drive?  So far, the only way I've found to do this is to try to open a file, and if it can't be opened then I know it's one that should be deleted.  But that gets really tedious.  Is there a better way?
