Digital Editions

Hello,I downloaded some important documents on my laptop through ADE with an anonymous ID. I would like to be able to read them on my new phone. So I downloaded ADE on my phone and created an ID linked to my email address and activated ADE with it on my phone. Then I tried to activate ADE on my laptop with the same ID but it would not let me. One Adobe page says"This issue occurs when you have previously activated with an anonymous ID. The deauthorization process deactivates the anonymous ID and allows you to sign in.If  you made any purchases with the anonymous ID, contact the eBook provider to reset the activation information. Then, redownload the purchase and it is tied to the currently activated ID." (Can't authorize with a previously used Adobe ID )I wonder if someone can assist me with this asap? Hi,I got the following problem when opening (adding to library) an *.acsm file with adobe digital editions (Version 4.5.3.162045) :1. A window opens, telling me that the content will be downloaded (takes about 3-5 seconds),2. A second window appears saying that download is impossible. Licence error, server communication failure. I have a new computer.  i downloaded Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.  I can no longer copy the library books to my Nook device.  Error says CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED - No permission to copy the book.  Can you help?

Hi,I mistakenly opened an eBook with an anonymous authorized copy of Adobe Digital Editions.I have tried to open this eBook on another device without luck. I have also since tried to open the eBook on my original computer (after authorising/erasing authorisation etc.).I now get this error: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USERI can't open the book at all.Please help.Regards,Jamie

I have deleted and reinstalled Digital Editions as well as Adobe Reader, also confirmed I have an ADE ID....all this done today, them tried to download a free book to see if it would work, and received message : could not open URL Link (3) acsm because it is not a supported file type. What step am I missing here...I can receive books from Kobo, so not sure what is happening.....thanks Barb

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the digital editions.  I have had no luck.  I also cannot remove the authorization for the computer. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi there!If following problem: If a delete a book it comes straight back in to me list as the first book. no matter how often I delete any book it comes back...Any help?

can anyone help with Adobe digital editions and downloading from our local library as I can not use my edition now. I am so frustrated I have spent all day long trying to get my ADOBE Digital Editions working.I had an ebook I have been waiting on for ages to come free for me to download to read from my local library, doing so I got error message in my ADE stating that there was an error, this happened once before on a book that didn't bother me if I read or not, it was only to read whilst waiting for today's book to come free.  Downloading I got the error message again, so I contacted my Library to be told that there have been problems before and that if I was using an older version of ADE to uninstall and reinstall with a newer version.Upon this advise I did as I was asked to do, and installed a newer version.  Went through all the installations, Authorized ADE on my DESK TOP PC and opened up the new version of ADE ready to receive the book from my library ... What happened

I have signed in and authorized the computer with my profile and I still get the error message:Unable to download. Error getting lisence. Lisence server communication problem. E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHEDPlease help. Thank you!

For some weird reason, my Digital Editions doesn't open anymore. Well it opens, shows up in Task Manager, then after a few seconds it closes. I'm doing book reviews and really need to get this working ASAP since there's no other way to open these.I have a Windows 10 laptop. I have uninstalled the program. Restarted the PC. Downloaded a new version and installed it. Still nothing. It's really frustrating.My phone version (Huawei P8lite) opens the app but the token.acsm doesn't extract the book it just opens the app but nothing happens afterwards.Please help!

I recently update my adobe digital editions to 4.50. Now it will not open in Windows 10. I have looked in all the forums. Had my computer geek looked at it thinking I did something wrong. He could not fix it. I am very frustrated because I can not get the program to open. It freezes and does not moved. I left it open all day - more than 10 hours and it still did not open. Help. Thank you. 

I want to authorize my pc.  I get this error.  Please help.

i just updated to a new kobo reader  I can't open the library book on my ereader once I transfer it from Adobe Digital Editions to my new kobo ereader.  in my ereader settings I have adobe authorized.

ADE is working perfectly anda I can read some epub but some of them the book text doesn´t appear. Everything else works: I can see the contents, when I choose a topic in the content menu, I can see the page indicator moving to the correct page but no text appears. Also no messages. Other epubs works perfectly.@11075446 can I do to fix the problem?

Good Morning, I am a Library Tech Intern in Ontario and many of our patrons from our Library, as well as other libraries have had a great deal of difficulty with transferring their e-books from the OLS website to their Kobos using Adobe Digital Editions. Situation 1: If they access OverDrive via the app the books open in the app and then can't be transferred to the Kobo (one device limit). I haven't found any way to get around this issue. It's not too bad if they are on a tablet - they are generally going to read on the device. But with newer versions of Windows computers, the app functions as it would on a tablet, with no option that I can see that allows to download without opening in the app.To fix, the patron has to get to OD through a web browser to download their OD books. Not so bad, but is confusing for some patrons.Situation 2:  Error Code 2038 Now giving Error Code 2038 on all attempted eBook downloads from my OLS account. I have been trying to download a book for hours. It keeps saying fulfilling (downloading content). The book is not that large. I've tried on multiple devices and can't get my book downloaded. I paid a lot of money for this ebook! Can someone please tell me what to do?

Hi, I downloaded a book from Wiley today, installed ADE, and imported the .acsm file.It says that this computer is not authorized to open the book because this item is authorized to a vendor id. I have provided the correct adobe ID and password and it says that the vendor account that you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open.I've spend half a day troubleshooting. Please advise.

I fulfilled a number of purchased ebooks in my library on ADE 4.5.3 for Windows using .acsm files.Due to some complications I mistakenly imported a number of  these .acsm files multiple times.The result is that the books now appear multiple times in my library.Although I have tried to delete the duplicate entries from within ADE, they always reappear the next time the library syncs.Is there any way to remove them permanently?Thank you very much in advance.Regards

Hi,i have a ebook, which i want to print with adobe digital editions.Printing is not forbidden for this ebook.In the internal reader i see all of the pageWhen i print, there is missing content on the right and bottom.My paper is german A4.I tried with different computers, different printers and different ebooks.It's always the same, something on the right and bottom is cut.Am i doing something wrong ?Michael

When trying to download epub books from my library Overdrive account to Digital Editions, the book appears in DE but I get an error message stating "Unable to open.... Errors were encountered in this item" it then gives the file path.  Within DE when I view the item info it states "Viewing: On any device" until loan expiry, "Copying: not allowed, Printing: Not allowed".  When I try to drag the book into the device it states "CE copying not allowed - no permission to copy the book".My Windows PC is authorised via Overdrive, as is the Kobo e-reader.  When I check the file location in the error code the book is there.  I've tried saving it elsewhere & then adding it to DE, but I get the same errors.  I've tried downloading different books to it but get the same errors.  I've tried de-authorising & re-authorising the device & the computer.  I've also tried uninstalling & reinstalling DE.... Same issues every time.I've run out of ideas - ca

I downloaded a book to ADE and can open and read on my computer. I can transfer it to my Nook but it won't open. I don't have this problem when I open an EPUB book from the test library at ADE.
