I reinstalled ADE as it suddenly told be that it was not verified. but it now says that I cannot authorise it because it is registered on another computer. I have no other computer. I want to download epub books again as it worked fine before.Help!

Hi,I have purchased books in good faith believing I could always read them.This is not the case.Currently after following various fixit advice form both Adobe and Bookeen I am unable to access any of my books on my computer. Hi,I am running ADE 4.5.3.162045, on Windows 10.It is a new installation as I am migrating from my old windows 7 laptopI bought a new book and downloaded it to my new install of ADE.When I connected the Gen 3, ADE crashed and the reader crashedIf I start ADE after connecting the Gen 3, ADE will run, but the new book does not appear in the library.If I try to access the Gen 3 or the library in ADE, ADE crashes and gives me a "ADE 4.3 has stopped working" Error. I have the option to close the program or hit Debug.If I hit Debug I get another error relating to .Net as belowThe debugging error is not that important.But, if I connect the Gen 3 and then open ADE and do not try to access anything ADE runs fine, but does not display anything in the library.Any ideas?

I am downloading books from my library website. When I try to view them on my ereader it says my device is not authorized. Both my laptop and my ereader are authorized. I have been able to read books from library on my ereader before. I have tried reauthorizing both my laptop and my ereader. I have tried re-downloading the book. I have tried uninstalling adobe digital editions and then reinstalling it. Nothing is working. Why am I not able to read my books?

Had problems with insufficient number of ADE Authorizations so used Chat to get help.  Answer was same as posted on this forum elsewhere: delete Adobe\Adept registry key.  Fix worked fine: was able to authorize additional devices (e-reader).  However, when starting computer up the next morning, Windows wouldn't boot.  Fired up the Recovery Disk, but could only get to error screen telling me the winload.efi digital signature could not be verified.  Screwed around with windows  recovery disk for a few hours, going into BIOS to change settings, but to no avail.  Finally tried using Chat again, but no help (surprise!).  Here's the "help" provided:7:36:12 PM Akim SakaMaring:I have checked your activation count and it is still remaining and we support here only for activation so We want to inform you that this issue is only supported on Forums.adobe.com as we have a team of Expertise who are trained and have knowledge about this product.7:36:24 PM Akim

I download books from library and program worked ok for long time. Now, it freezes when I open it and click on any option.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail. Tried going to 3.0 version and got activation server error code: E_Adept_internal.  I have Windows 10 now, using Edge as my browser. Used to have Windows 8 and had IE.   No errors found from left over software when I cleaned the registry.  Any solution suggested? 

I downloaded an epub book to my windows PC from my local public library site via overdrive.  I can open the book on line but when I tried to download it so I could move it to my Nook I got an error message from Adobe Digital saying Unable to Download. Error getting license: License Server Communication Problem.  E_STREAM_ERROR.  I have used this same site and procedure on this same PC for several years and this is the first time this has happened.

I borrowed an e-book in an online library and downloaded it at the PC. Now i want to read it at my e-book-reader but i can't send the e-book from PC to reader. It says "CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED". I also cant't download it via the e-book-reader browser. it says "E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER" but the PC and the e-book-reader are both authorized by the same Adobe ID.  Please help

Hi -- I'm trying to authorize on a Mac. I've confirmed with an agent that my Adobe ID and PW are valid and account is active, but the window hangs on "Authorizing..." been going now for 30 minutes with no change. I desperately need to authorize to view a textbook/manual for a course I'm working on. Please help!

Since I could not open any ebooks on Adobe Digital Editions due to the error message "E_ADEPT_INTERNAL", I looked online what to do when you get such an error message. I tried to follow the instructions there, however after entering my password the program said "Deauthorization not possible. Try again later". After failing at that attempt, I uninstalled and reinstalled the program in the hopes that now it would be working. When I reinstalled the program, it did not even ask me to enter my Adobe ID again, so I am facing the same problem again. What can I do to get the program back to work? Thanks in advance!

I am using Adobe digital editions 4.5 on a Windows 10 operating system and Google as my browserI am getting the message "User Not Authorized" when I try to move a book from digital editions 4.5 to a nook.My wife and I share a computer and have different nooks and so the nook ID and the computer ID are differentI have reset my password.  I then went to digital editions "HELP" to Erase Authorization, and my user ID ends with " | OVERDRIVE".I am told via an Adobe chat session that I need to de authorize and re authorize my computer.I would like some guidance on how to do this.  Thanks

I downloaded an ebook but only authorised my computer (without an Adobe ID), and didn't authorise the e-reader. So I can't read the book anywhere than my computer. What can I do to read the book on the e-reader? Thanks.

I am trying to download a book onto my nook.  When I try to download using Digital Editions, I get an error message that states, "E_Act_Not_Ready."  Can somebody help me with this?

i get this message when i try to download a book from the library.  When i check activation it indicates activation is authorized. i upgraded to the newer version of Adobe and it still happens.  Don't know what to try next.  Any suggestions?

i downloaded the program and open the installer.  A box opens saying it is trying to verify the installer. it stops there and will not go any further. This whole problem started trying to download a library book onto my nook. When trying to move the downloaded book to ADE got an error code 2038. After researching, it was suggested to uninstall ADE and download either version 2.0 or 3.0.  i uninstalled the older version of ADE i was running and now i'm having this verification problem.

Does anyone know how to fix this, if there is a fix? The "zoom" feature is completely disabled, and despite the fact that I have selected "ultra large" for the font size, it is still tiny! I never have issues reading small font but this is ridiculous. I can't believe there isn't a zoom capability on neither my ipad nor my laptop. Any ideas, Adobe?

I am attempting to download a textbook.  The download seems to go flawlessly but at the end, I get an error message that says "Digital Editions could not connect to the fulfillment server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet."  I am most certainly connected to the internet...any ideas out there?  Adobe support sent me here...

Hi,I recently bought a book and authorised it with Digital Editions. When trying to view the book it doesn't allow me to, saying the ID isn't associated with the vendor. I know my ID and password are correct but it still won't associate with the file.Regards,Stephen

My ADE is Authorized with my sign in.  I am capable of downloading an ebook (epub) from my Public Library to ADE.  It is readable in ADE.  My Kobo Reader icon is shown in ADE.  I then right click the Kobo reader & click "Authorize".I then drag the book to the Kobo icon & drop it in.When I open up the Kobo, the book is shown there as a recent addition (note: icon is black, book cover not illustrated).When I try to open the book in Kobo, I get the following : Oops! This document couldn't be opened.  Item is protected by ADE (DRM) and is not currently authorized with my Adobe ID.This seems to be an Adobe problem.  Kobo help says it is an ADE ?  Have I missed something somewhere in ADE setup ?  I can read the Library book in ADE...Please help, I am stuck.  I have reloaded ADE & still no help.Sid
