I am using Adobe digital editions 4.5 on a Windows 10 operating system and Google as my browserI am getting the message "User Not Authorized" when I try to move a book from digital editions 4.5 to a nook.My wife and I share a computer and have different nooks and so the nook ID and the computer ID are differentI have reset my password.  I then went to digital editions "HELP" to Erase Authorization, and my user ID ends with " | OVERDRIVE".I am told via an Adobe chat session that I need to de authorize and re authorize my computer.I would like some guidance on how to do this.  Thanks

I downloaded an ebook but only authorised my computer (without an Adobe ID), and didn't authorise the e-reader. So I can't read the book anywhere than my computer. What can I do to read the book on the e-reader? Thanks.

I am trying to download a book onto my nook.  When I try to download using Digital Editions, I get an error message that states, "E_Act_Not_Ready."  Can somebody help me with this?

i get this message when i try to download a book from the library.  When i check activation it indicates activation is authorized. i upgraded to the newer version of Adobe and it still happens.  Don't know what to try next.  Any suggestions?

i downloaded the program and open the installer.  A box opens saying it is trying to verify the installer. it stops there and will not go any further. This whole problem started trying to download a library book onto my nook. When trying to move the downloaded book to ADE got an error code 2038. After researching, it was suggested to uninstall ADE and download either version 2.0 or 3.0.  i uninstalled the older version of ADE i was running and now i'm having this verification problem.

Does anyone know how to fix this, if there is a fix? The "zoom" feature is completely disabled, and despite the fact that I have selected "ultra large" for the font size, it is still tiny! I never have issues reading small font but this is ridiculous. I can't believe there isn't a zoom capability on neither my ipad nor my laptop. Any ideas, Adobe?

Hi, I bought my first ACSM book on e-bookmall - downloaded ADE but can see no download button to find ACSM. I tried 'Add to Library' but got 'Error: Check Activation'. I'm at a total loss.d

I am attempting to download a textbook.  The download seems to go flawlessly but at the end, I get an error message that says "Digital Editions could not connect to the fulfillment server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet."  I am most certainly connected to the internet...any ideas out there?  Adobe support sent me here...

Hi,I recently bought a book and authorised it with Digital Editions. When trying to view the book it doesn't allow me to, saying the ID isn't associated with the vendor. I know my ID and password are correct but it still won't associate with the file.Regards,Stephen

My ADE is Authorized with my sign in.  I am capable of downloading an ebook (epub) from my Public Library to ADE.  It is readable in ADE.  My Kobo Reader icon is shown in ADE.  I then right click the Kobo reader & click "Authorize".I then drag the book to the Kobo icon & drop it in.When I open up the Kobo, the book is shown there as a recent addition (note: icon is black, book cover not illustrated).When I try to open the book in Kobo, I get the following : Oops! This document couldn't be opened.  Item is protected by ADE (DRM) and is not currently authorized with my Adobe ID.This seems to be an Adobe problem.  Kobo help says it is an ADE ?  Have I missed something somewhere in ADE setup ?  I can read the Library book in ADE...Please help, I am stuck.  I have reloaded ADE & still no help.Sid

I got Digital editions to read a book i bought of the internet, i authorized it without an ID. After some weeks i formatted my computer. I then downloaded the program again to continue on my book. Since it was authorized to the "old" digital editions (pre-formatted) i couldnt open my book. Now im in trouble because i authorized it without any ID, so how do i fix this so i can continue to read my book? do i just have to rebuy the book? Please help me, its for my exams

I downloaded the new Adobe Digital Editions. When I tried to authorize it was done without any information from me, just said it had be authorized successfully. Unfortunately my regular ID and PW do not work and I cannot download any books until I have the ID and PW that were chosen for me. Can anyone help? 

Hallo, erhalte im Moment immer die Fehlermeldung E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS obwohl ich nur einen PC und 2 Tolinos als Endgeräte nutze- als Hilfehinweis bei ADOBE kommt immer - bitte kontaktieren sie uns - aber bei aktivierung des entsprechenden Links lande ich immer nur auf der Supportseite mit der Nachricht , es gibt für dieses Produkt keinen Telefonsupport.  Ich weiß, dass ich einen Reset brauche, aber an wen kann ich mich wenden oder wie und wo kann ich ihn selber machen?Ich bin dankbar für jeden Tipp

I bought e-books. They are downloaded as *.ascm files. Impossible to enter these books in ADE : error message "Check activation". The authorisations are the same on ADE and Kobo Aura H2O. I tried to errase authorisation in ADE but the operation is impossible and the pgm ask to come back later (now 3 days !).I have more than 150 e-books on this Kobo and up to begin december, I had no problem at all.Please SOS. Thank you for your help.

Can someone tell me what the next step might be, after creating the required account, to finding the 'not a member' link?A research assistant is sharing some research docs with me for a project I am working on, outside of her library.She has asked me to download this Adobe Digital Reader to do this, and then go to the "not a Member" sectionto access her docs.But after needing to make an account and password, I see no link called "not a Member".She has said maybe I need to sign out and in again but I would need to change my email address,because it's already registered. That is not going to work for me.Any ideas?Thank you.Carolyn

My University  issued  me  a    "new" (a mac that   is  least two years  old) and did not install the  abode  software that  allows me  to   retrieve or  download  e books. I get  locked into  a cycle of  you have  an account but I still  cannot  access  my digital  library. Abode  keeps on telling me  there is no problem and  I don't have  direct access to  anyone  there. Thoughts? Solutions?

My library switched from ePUB files to ACSM files and ADE 3.0 would not even see them.  I too downloaded ADE 4.5.2.  I went through the registry editing steps because I could not DE-authorize the account until I did so (option greyed out).  After deleting registry key I could de-authorize but now cannot re-authorize.  Software says it cannot connect to "activation server" and I am not online.  Duh, how do they think I am posting this?The Chat people just pass the buck here with no assistance. As you can see they have not addressed this issue in the forumsI called Adobe and got tech support on the phone - they cannot help because it is "a free product" ignoring the $$$ they earn from the libraries who license and use ADE.

I have a KObo Glo.  Using Windows 10 & Adobe Digital Editions Ver.4.5 to downloading ebooks from our library and transferring them to my Kobo has been working great.  Now I keep getting "Copy Not Responding" and "Adobe Digital Editions Not Responding"  I have uninstalled and reinstalled older versions of Adobe and keep getting the same ERROR message???   Need help Please.  Frustrated.Richard.e
