Error getting licenseLicense server communication problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER is what shows up

Hi experts,I've had to re-install my android based tablet. When I now try to download ebooks to my ebook reader app, I'm getting the error message "too many devices activated". It worked flawlessly before.In this Adobe support forum post I've read that another user had his device activations reset by contacting customer care. Which I did today (ticket number 0220664678). A very polite guy told me that I first need to register my product. I told him that I do not own an Adobe product but use the Adobe ID to read DRM protected content in 3rd party apps like Bluefire or Aldiko. He then said I would need to post my request in this forum because there would be no chat support for my issue.So it seem I'm now relying on you guys to help me read my ebooks on my tablet again. Is there anything you can do for me or I can do to solve this issue myself?Thanks in advance and merry Xmas!Peter

I recently downloaded this eBook from my local library. To view this eBook I had to download Adobe Digital Editions. After I this did, I clicked the eBook, and I was prompted to sign into my Adobe account. I put in all the correct information and received a message stating connection error. My computer is connected to the internet and no matter how many times I try, I can not login. Is there anyway this can be fixed so I can read my eBook?

I just changed my email ID for adobe online -- no problem.  However, now I go to Adobe Digital Editions to try to change it there and it won't let me.  Deauthorizing the current ID won't work because it wants my old emal and password which Adobe no longer recognizes.  The option to authorize the computer is greyed out since the computer is already authorized.  How do I synch my IDs?

Up until a month ago I was using Sony's Reader for PC to download and transfer books to my ereader. KOBO stopped supporting that program and it no longer works.I installed ADE and I was able to authorize my ereader at that time. I went to transfer a book to my ereader tonight and my ereader is no longer authorized nor do I get the drop down option to authorize it. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I used ADE for years to happily download library books to my nook. Now I have gotten a new laptop and installed ADE 5.7.1.I downloaded a book to the laptop from the library with some problems but finally successfully (I will ask about that in a separate question)Attempting to copy the book to the Nook hung. Backing up to an older version of ADE, I found out that I was getting a licensing problem: "CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED No permission to copy the book" .When I looked at the license for my Nook, it said  it was authorized "for the following account: ", followed by nothing. No idea which account.Checking the authorization on my computer, I found it was marked unauthorized but attempts to authorize failed with an error "You can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that has not been used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices. Hi,I bought an ebook at Kobo store with instructions to install ADE which I did at home. I accessed the book without authorizing the computer and without an Adobe user ID. As I could not transfer it to my Kobo device, it tried some procedures, and now it says E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER on the computer.And I still cannot transfer it to my Kobo device. How can I reset this authentication?

I dowloaded Adobe Editions 4.5 for Windows, because I bought a first ebook for my Tolino ereader. Downloading worked fine, I created an Adobe ID and received an email with a link to verify my email address. So far so good. But when I tried opening my ebook in Adobe Editions, by clicking on it with my right mouse button, Adobe Editions opened, but also gave me the following error message: Downloading failed. Error with retrieving licence. Communication problem with licence server: E_ADAPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED.A chat with the support did not yield any results.Suggestions, anyone?

I installed Adobe digital editions and authorized my computer and a Nook.  I tried to download an EPUB from the library2go lending service to the computer and received the error message stated in the title.  I contacted Customer Care at Adobe and they referred me to the forums for help stating that Digital Editions was only supported by the forums.

I have plugged in my reader and it is on wifi and in data transfer mode but it is not showing up on my devices list in my adobe account so I cannot transfer.  Help please.

Attempting to download several files from Direct2Drive.com. I've already contacted their tech support about this error. Their response:"I've tested the download server links and we're seeing that the downloads have been fulfilled and activated by your computer. Can you try removing the digital editions software from your computer, then redownload Digital Editions. If the downloads still do not operate, please let me know, along with  contacting Adobe for assistance with this as our servers would not appear to be at fault."As suggested, I have uninstalled Digital Editions and then reinstalled it. No change; I'm still getting the exact same error message ("Server communication problem: E_ADEPT_INTERNAL").Any suggestions, please?

I have successfully installed ADE and downloaded my first ebooks from my library. I downloaded some more books, but now when I try to open the .ascm files with ADE, I get the following error:"Unable to downloadError getting license. I have a WIN 7 prof 64 bit. I installed ADE 4.5, installation run withoeut problem, system shows the program symbols.When I start ADE there is onlay an activity sign wich disappears after some seconds. Then I erased the ADE 4.5,cleaned the registry, started new and installed ADE 3.0. The program call ended with -program has problems to start-What can I do ?SincerelyWolfgang

I know my password works as I can log into my online account with it

First of the month I was able to download books from the library. How ever last week when I went to download I received the following msg: "Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY" (I still receive this msg) Second, when I was looking at the help area I noticed that the computer is registered as "ronandjerri@yahoo.com" (this email is no longer active). I thought this might be the problem, so I thought I would erase authorization and re-register under "topgallant1. But I cannot do that in that I no longer have the password for yahoo. What is my solution to problem? I have books ready to download.  Ron

We changed our Adobe ID and password on our desktop.When we went to do the same on our laptop the default email address in the de authorization dialogue box defaulted to our old email address.It prompted me for our password which I entered but it continuously said that my password was incorrect.Help. Auf meinem MacBook Pro kann ich einige meiner e-books nicht öffnen, Adobe Digital Editon 4.0 schließt mit "unerwartet beendet". Die Firma, bei der ich die e-books gekauft hab, kann mir nicht weiterhelfen. Neues herunterladen dieser e-books bringt auch nichts.
