Downloaded book from local library, (they confirmed I did it correctly). Transferred to Nook, but won't open - get this error message: this book is not activated for current ade users. ADE is activated on my computer. Barnes and Noble say it is an ADE problem. Saw several places that said to delete ADE from Nook, but am unable to find it, there are no hidden files. Have already uninstalled ADE and reinstalled. Have pretty much given up, wish I had bought another ereader (bought this for my husband, who does not know computers, he can't understand why I can't fix this!
I have not been able to download library books to Adobe Digital Editions Version 2. I keep getting an error message "Unable to download.Error getting license. License Server Communication Problem. E_STREAM-ERROR". This has only occurred recently. Adobe Digital Editions already shows my computer is authorized with a valid Adobe Digital ID. Any suggestions to resolve this issue?
I am unable to download ebooks from the library. Get this error: Unable to download. Error getting license. License server communication problem: E_STREAM_ERROR.How do I resolve this issue?
Have just started using a new computer and, having re established my Adobe account details on the new computer I tried to return a library book from my Kobo ereader. But I got this message - "E_BAD_LOAN_VD" I can probably return the book through my old computer, but hope that I'll be able to download and return books using the new computer in the future. Does anyone know what, if anything, I've done wrong?
updated ADE to 4.5.2 from 4.5. Now receive error message when trying to download library book from Overdrive. Saw previous answer to Export Reistry file HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept but do not have that file. using Windows 7.
Hi,My computer (PC) has been authorized for my ID for years and has worked just fine. I had ADE 4.5 but then had to download 3.0 and uninstall 4.5 as my Kobo device would not allow me to open any books even though it has been successfully authorized with the same Adobe ID. Well, now the situation is that Kobo still does not work, same error message keeps popping up ("Oops" this document couldn't be opened. This document is protected by Adobe DRM and is not currently authorized with your Adobe ID"), but in addition to that my PC cannot open the books anymore either. An error message says "Activation Server Error, code: E_ADEPT_INTERNAL". When I tried to return the book to the library I borrowed it from, there is another error message saying that I first need to authorize my computer before I can return the item. What can I do? Seems like everything's getting from bad to worse, when I try to fix one problem, a new one appears and the original problem is still unsolved as well...
trying to download a book i purchased and i keep getting the same message can anyone tell me if it is adobe or book sites errorIO Error on Network Request. Please check your network connection and try again.Network Path:https://acs.cdn.overdrive.com/ACSStore1/1071-1/BCE/33C/F1/{BCE33CF1-956C-4BC9-9605-C568EFD6315E}Fmt410.epub Event Detail:Error #2038--- end ---
I am trying to authorize my home desktop with ADE, but it says I cannot use an Adobe ID that has already been used to authorize another computer. I have tried canceling my authorization on my workplace desktop, but it says "Unable to Cancel Authorization. Please try again after some time."
Just updated to Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 on my Windows Laptop. Had no trouble with my old 2.5. Now the book covers in my library are awful...like a fuzzy photo. I can barely tell the titles. Anyone know what's wrong? Thanks, Tamara
I can access ADE and download an eBook form the library but when I try to put the book on my NOOK it says I do not have permission to copy the ebook. What do I do now?
I have an old XP computer I use only for reading and a bit of video. I've had DE for a few years and a DE authorization account. Last night, I tried to check out books from my library's Overdrive section and I received an error telling me it couldn't reach the right server. I submitted a ticket there and they told me to try re-authorizing.When I tried to do that, the authorization said I was authorized without account and it was now demanding an account. I entered my existing account but it died. It's attached to the same email as my support account, so I tried that too. Neither worked. I tried to create a new account and the system said I couldn't create an account because the email was registered to a different computer. You are familiar with the concept of households having more than one computer, right? If not, it's real, not just a rumor. How do I get my old authorization working or create a new one, using the same account I use for all of my technical work? I really don't want to h
Unable to download library books (EPUB) to ADE. Started 2 days ago with older version of ADE after working fine for years on same PC. Deleted older version and all files and books I could locate on computer. Installed current version of ADE-4.5.2. Still doesn’t work. When I attempt to download a book, get error message –“error! Check activation”. Have tried deactivating Webroot firewall but not helpful.Nothing changed that I know of when problem started--same PC, same ADE, same library source. I appreciate any ideas.
I have searched for an answer and can not find the solution:I have windows 10, if I borrow a digital book from a library, I get "error, check activation: Please help!I can not seem to solve this problem
I have downloaded ebook into my computer and able to read. Now I am trying to access same book from my iphone and ipad but not able to do. I am able to view the book names in my library in phone and ipad but when I try to open I am getting "Connection Error Detected"-"Digital Editions Could not connect to the fulfillment server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet.".I was able to read book from iphone a month back but now I am trying with different ebook and getting this issue.
We have an issue as follows:1) Our nook froze.2) We were able to unfreeze it but when trying to download books from Overdrive to Digital Editions we started getting the #2038 error.3) After trying various things we unauthorized the computer and reauthorized with a new email address and new Adobe ID.4) We then starting getting the message "error getting license."5) Now we are unable to download or return any books.6) We though the computer would re-interface with the new email and ID. We log into the Overdrive account with a library card and pin.Is there a way to solve this issue? Nothing noted in the other forum threads seem to work for us. We have not entered the registry to try and fix this although we are not sure this will work because the original e-mail address is no longer valid.Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.Wayne and Linda
I, like a lot of folks here, are having issues with ADE and Kobo devices. Specifically having downloaded a Vancouver Library item trying toload it to my Kobo I would get the unauthorized message. This washappening when I would specify that I wanted to open the downloadin ADE.So, just on a whim, I decided to download the file, them manually open inin ADE, then transfer it to my Kobo. This seems to be working for now.Does this help anyone else??Who writes these flaky programs anyway...lolStephen
Now we are unable to download or return any books.
How do I start to use a new account in Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 ?I have an old account hooked up to an e-mail address that is no longer used or accessible. I do not remember the password and can not have a reminder sent to me because the address is no longer accessible. So I started a new account through Adobe Chat Line. I can not figure out how to use the new account e-mail address. Someone help p[lease.
I am unable to open a specific book in ADE. When I attempt to import the file, ADE becomes non-responsive. Yet, when I look in ADE I see the book listed. When clicking onto the book title ADE becomes non-responsive. None of my other books freeze ADE and I have been able to download other books from the same source + open them. So far I have uninstalled/reinstalled ADE, unauthorized/reauthorized my computer, deleted and redownloaded the same file. I noticed that the file extension is being converted to .epub rather than .pdf. in the My Digital Editions folder.
I recently purchased two books in digital format for my thesis project, "The Cambridge Handbook of Psycholinguistics" from ebooks.com and "The Oxford Handbook of Music Psychology" from google play. The problem I'm having is that when I try to open these books on ADE the screen displays the following message: "E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12". I already tried the troubleshooting of both sellers trying to fix this and it won't work, to which they told me I should get assistance directly from you.Thank you.
In ADE the authorized user on my pc and ereader is incorrect. How do I erase an authorized user from ADE 4.5.2 when I do not have the password for that user. I am not able to add the correct user as the option is greyed out in the menu.
I have a PDF protected that is a .acsm file. I cannot open it with Overdrive and Adobe Digital Editions.I get a error code. How do I fix this problem?
My library recently converted to a new version of their website (OMNI libraries-Dixon, IL) back in june. I had the original ADE version downloaded from the 'old' site. I had no problems with. Then, with the new site, certain epub books wouldn't download as well into my 2012 version. Thinking that it was 'too old', I deleted it, and downloaded the 4.5.2 ADE version. That caused my to lose my 'activation code' for my computer even though the 'authorize computer' is grayed out in the HELP column. So, I uninstalled this version and installed the ADE 2.0.1 version per my library's contact request. It still will not let me transfer ebooks from the library to the ADE program. Here is what it currently does: when I go to my library account and click on the "loans' folder, I click download for the book that is there. It opens a dialog box that states 'do you want to open or save "....the book's title..to fulfill.contentreserve.com". Wh
I have been borrowing ebooks from my library for years now and transferring them to my kobo. However, my library recently underwent some major changes and suddenly I was unable to download my books on hold as I keep getting the message "Oops! Unable to open this document which is protected by ADRM and is not currently authorized for use...I use overdrive with my library account and it has always worked before. In reading some of the forums on ADE, they suggested uninstalling the ADE 4.5 I use and install Adobe 3.0. When that didn't work, I tried using a different server to uninstall and reinstall Abobe 3.0. I also tried erasing authorization on my computer and kobo and then reauthorizing them using my Adobe ID log in. Nothing works. I need help in very simple terms as I'm new to this. Appreciate any advice, thanks.
I keep getting a message saying that I can't authorize a device that has already been used on another device. How do I get 2 computers authorized with the same ID so that I can read books on both computers?
