Dimension

Hi, I'm using Adobe Dimensions 2020 v3.3.0 & facing two problems in it. 1. GPU Render option suddenly disappeared from preferences. It was working like charm but now it's using CPU for render & taking lot of time for final output.Solutions tried: Reinstall old/new GPU drivers & Dimensions. Nothing worked. 2. I want to place Decal on jar where it'll be covering around 95% of it's surface (circumference, no fill). Whenever I try to do that after some size (say 50%), decal gets distorted weirdly. This is happening only with Jar or cylinder shape.Solutions tried: I created jars using other 3D softwares and imported obj in dimensions. Generated UVs for every jar imported. Changed surfaces, sizes, etc. Nothing worked.  

Just installed Dimentions, looking for an alternative to Fusion 360 and Blender, which both work well on my Dell. Program starts up and I see all the menues on both sides of the screens, but the center scene is blanks, does not show the 3D hash mark floor, and when I drag an object on to the screen, it is not showen, but it's listed on the right in the menue.What am I doing wrong. I have but one graphics card installed, the Inyel(R) HD Graphics 630 that came with the Dell. Is this the problem?Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

Do not have "focus" on. The mockup looks sharp in Dimension, but once rendered, it looks very fussy. Screenshots attached

Hi there! Bloody new to Dimension, I have to create a 3d-scene full of different types and sizes of bolts and nuts. I recently updated my software. I was able to use it for a few try. After adding the glitter texture to a 3D model, it immediately started producing these kind of pictures. I have tried everything I can, what do you think is the issue?

Whenever I export an object - saved as .dn - and import it into another project, it arrives all disorganized and I have to reassmble all the layers.  Settings are identical and I have tried centred and non-centered inports. I'm pretty new to Dimension.

Has anyone been successfull getting pure white backgrounds while still having a small shadow for products?We've tried multiple differnt custom light setups and  filling these 3 goals has been almost impossible:to get the product colors vibrantsmall tight shadownot have bleeds of grey (errant shadows) to the edges (especially need all edges of image to be pure white)Here's a rough example of what I'm after:  https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/photo/close-up-of-bottle-against-white-background-royalty-free-image/910962778

I'm trying to solve why the sun (or any directional light) is only casting shadows sideways, regardless of the height setting. All other properties appear to be working. I've turned off other light sources and reinstalled Dimension with no luck.

In the latest (October 2018) release of Adobe Dimension, there are a number of useful materials missing (for example, Black Plastic) that were included in the previous release. Now I see that if I want to use those materials, I have to pay for them in the Adobe Stock area. To me, that feels like a bait and switch.I have been pushing my company supervisors hard to adopt Dimension as our rendering tool, based on the features that were present before the October update. I assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that anything there would remain and you would ADD new features/function but not eliminate any.Please respond and let me know why those materials were moved from "default/included" to "you have to pay for them". Your response will determine if I continue to pursue Dimension as the rendering tool or look for something else.Thanks.

Hi all, I hope you can help with something that I've been wrecking my brains for a while. 🙂I need to export Camera and objects to Cinema 4D from Dimension and at the minute the only export format we have is OBJ. Which as far as I know does not take the camera information with the file. (Please tell me if I'm wrong).So I found a workaround where we place a specific "camera" cube that matches the position and rotation of the scene camera.The position works perfectly fine, but there is no way of matching the rotation. So, how does Dimension calculates the rotation of the camera in 3D space and how can we copy those values accurately into an object, please? This would be great to know and perhaps help other users. Thank you in advance! Andre

Can anyone help me to find solution? When i am placing graphic on my own model, it is displaying as so many repeated images. i am attaching a snapshot. 

Have you ever successfully tried to make a decal applied to transparent object but keep the decal opaque? For achieving such an effect you have to use translucence in Adobe Dimension 2020.     https://youtu.be/7PybE_xabSE 

Anyone facing the same problem as me? my image was clear before i place into decal, but after i placed it, the image became so worst.....any solution to fix this problem? or any tutorial can guide me to export high resolution Jpeg?

Dimension is no longer opens up any of my models, just opens up the UI around it. All my programmes are up to date, I've logged out of CC, restarted my laptop. Nothing is working, this is an issue for all .dn files. They were working just a few weeks ago and now I've come back to them, nothing. I am using Windows 10  

Hi. I am trying to place a graphic to a component of an .OBJ model. The .PNG seems to import without any issue, but is not visible on the component. I've run into this with a few components of this model. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix it? I also run into this issue when applying stock substance materials with any sort of pattern (e.g. wood grains) - the pattern is not visible no matter what I change properties to. Details:The model is an .OBJ of an iPhone 11 Pro + case which I got from CGTRader. I've been able to apply properties to all the components of the model without issue and have successfully added .PNGs to the phone screen. But when I try to do things like add a decal to the case, or in my latest project, add a graphic to the camera flash, it is not visible. Hi Everyone,I'm a bag designer and new to Dimension.  I normally create my designs in Illustrator, but would love some advice as the best 3d model software to use to export into Dimension. Can anyone suggest some options? Many thanks!Chris

I have created a glass cosmetic jar via illustrator and photoshop, but when I go to apply the decal it always starts distorting when I try to scale the decal bigger. I have tried generatting UVs and recreating the model and adjusting the extrusion depth but it still distorting.The only way I have got around this is to split the label decal in to 3 parts.

How do I keep an opaque decal on a transparent bottle?When I make the bottle transparent, the decal fades out as well.

I'm trying to make a transparent wrapper in Dimension so you can see the contents within. The wrapper has a Decal applied so I can't use the transparency setting. A search tells me to use the translucency setting.In the Design window playing with this parameter gives me the look I want is rather crudely rendered. However when I do a proper render the wrapper just ends up white opaque. What am I doing wrong and while I am at it can someone give me some decent settings for a crear plastic wrapper with relections on it? I'm using Dimension 1.1.1 which is the highest version my Mac supports. Thanks! 

Why is the image blurry when the quality is set to high from dimension？

Hello, I've created several beautiful renders of products successfully in Dimension, but have hit a roadblock with one particular model.   This file is an OBJ, approx. 4.3Gb in size.  It's a product designed in Autodesk Inventor, shrinkwrapped and exported to OBJ.  During export we used the medium resolution preset for the OBJ.   The resulting OBJ file is huge, but Adobe Dimension will import it.  I get the file importing progress bar, and when finished, it appears that the OBJ imported successfully.  It shows up in the Scene panel as expected, but the model never shows in the preview window.  If I select the model in the Scene panel and try to move it or perform any other transformation the software grinds to a halt.  We've tried working with this on a few different machines, including a standalone tower built specifically for rendering.  Computer horsepower shouldn't be the problem, but again - I recognize the
