[Locked] Cannot activate CS3 Dreamwever [CS3 is dead]

Hi I have just installed CS3 dreamweaver on a new computer but, although it green ticks the code I've put it, I get an 'activation no connection' message (yes, I am connected fine).  I've tried 'retry', the number given for telephone activation doesn't work, I wouldn't know which internet settings to check for the third option.   This has happened before but I've used 'remind me on next launch' but now that won't work.  Is there a non-teccie work around that I can use?

In editing in Design View, I'm getting some unexpected behavior. If you look at the screenshot, you can see that I have highlighted two words so I can edit them by overwriting them (I wanted to replace You have with How's the. But as soon as I begin to type the new word, that New CSS Rule window opens. Any idea why that's happening? I should add that this only happens when I highlight words to replace them. I can add words without the window opening.ThanksAlan

Hallo,seit dem letzten Update abe ich Probleme beim Hochladen. Ich wollte einen Eyecatcher als div auf die Seite setzen, aber er erschien nicht auf der Internetseite. Ebenso wollte ich Bilder erneuern. Im Programm sind die Bilder in der Remoteansicht zu sehen (wurden also hochgeladen), aber auch da hat sich auf der Internetseite nichts geändert.Den Eyecatcher habe ich dann als einfachen Text hochgeladen ... das hat funktioniert.An was kann das liegen??GrußMargot-Jo

Code changes in PHP files without edits

Within many of my php webpage files,  the code (this is one example) has changed from <form action="../mailer.php" method="POST" enctype="multipart/form-data" autocomplete="off" to <form action="file:///Macintosh HD/Users/user_name/Desktop/Imagine/mailer.php" method="POST" enctype="multipart/form-data" autocomplete="off" (note: the user_name is my system User Name) I have not modified the files to alter this, it just happens. Any thoughts as to why this is occurring and what I can do to ensure it does not reoccur inthe future?

Shortcut layout wrong?

I've been trying Dreamweaver CC 2020 lately, but there's one problem. I can't find the shortcut for "Line comment". On the official website, it says "Ctrl /" but for me, this was the shortcut for "increase font size". I didn't change any of the shortcut options, it was like this since I installed it and I don't know what's causing it. I would like to change it manually, but I don't know where "line comment" is located on the shortcut menu and can't change it that way either. If anybody knows a way to solve this I would be grateful. Thank you.

How to delete/remove : Filter Recent Files

Hello, I am new to Dreamweaver. I am trying to make a website for my small business. So I tried to open new sites sevral times (I have at least 10 sites with different name). Some of them I deleted by deleting the root folder from my desktop. But every time I launch Dreamweaver I have a list of previously opened files which is confusing to me. How I can delete the files which shows up under "Filter Recent Files" when I start Dreamweaver? Thanks

Can I set up Bootstrap to use BootstrapCDN by default on Dreamweaver?

It's just a matter of personal preference, but it would seem that Dreamweaver wants me to download the dependencies onto my site. Greetings,I am posting this for the people who want to create a virtual local server and have a separate server that runs their code and is accessible via local network. I am not an expert but I want people to check this tutorial and give me their opinion to improve it little by little. How to set up Dreamweaver/Wordpress LAN server workflow?

I have a Ubuntu LAMP server on my local network with a few existing WP sites. The LAMP server is used only for development. I want to be able to work with Dreamweaver/Wordpress using that server, rather than having to import to my local machine. I have read a few tutorials for doing this with a local WAMP/MAMP server, and tried to extrapolate the instructions for a LAN server, but to no avail.Does anybody have any resources on how to do this? Is this even possible?

Show location of code in CSS page

I'm hoping someone can help me. I just upgraded from CS6 to 2020. In CS6 I could click <h1> and then that item would appear in the right coloumn. I could could right click the item and I would be directed to that item on the CSS page. I can't seem to do that in 2020. Thanks.

More Dreamweaver frustration...

I downloaded the new Deramweaver 2020, connected to remote server, used the Get webstie folders, edited what I needed to, saved, pushed to test server and even used Live and all changes were as I needed. However, whan I connected to remote server to upload, it went through the motions as it did in the old 2004 Macromedia Dreamweaver, yet, when checked on the browsers, no changes went through.I tried to troubleshoot and gave up after 6 hours and getting same results.Avoided Dreamweaver yesterday and decided to clear the file cache. I followed instructions and did so. I opened Dreamweaver and refreshed the site list only to discover the massive list of images were still there! I tried refreshing again, in case there was a lag. No, still same.

I need to position a paragraph vertically centered to all ebook readers. I added this code to a paragraph style in CSS to center a single line of text:margin: 50vh 0 0 0;  /* vh stands for viewport height*/-webkit-transform: translateY(-50%);transform: translateY(-50%);This worked perfectly.Does anyone have the code for vertically centering a multiline paragraph added to the paragraph style? I cannot load Dreamweaver

I have used Dreamweaver off and on for about twenty years. I ran into some problems with several Adobe Applications. It took me several days but with the help of some Adobe experts the problems I was having with Animate and Illustrator have been fixed. Part of what they had me do was to remove all Adobe applications from my computer. When I put back all the ones I use I can't get Dreamweaver to even download. It reads "unable to copy. Check permissions and try again. Error code 147"I have bumbuled around but I can not find (therfore not correct) the problem. Help!

Dreamweaver CS3 Problem with Templates

All of a sudden, after years of work, when I open an html file with SPLIT mode (code on top and design on bottom), the spry menus don't show in the design mode.   I've seen this happen in the past when the HTML file was outside of the root folder, but I've checked and the two files in the TEMPLATES folder look fine.  And I've tried restoring older versions but that makes no difference.    I can still edit the files and they work fine when uploaded to the host, I just cannot preview the layout withint Dreamweaver - only in a browser. Any hints or help would be appreciated.   Our home page is www.mafca.com
