Dreamweaver

Here are some screenshots. The first one shows a template I created years ago in Dreamweaver CS5. I created around 500 child pages from the template at that time. Ever since, any changes I make in the BODY of the page DO update correctly in the child pages.   However, even though template has 3 meta-tags (title, description, keywords), around 50% of the CHILD pages only contain the "title" metatag, but NOT the description & keywords tags.  Today, February 2020, I upgraded to the description DW 20.  " very nice upgrade obviously, much more user-friendly. CHALLENGE: I would like to get those missing meta-tags into ALL of the child pages.  Theoretically, I was speculating that if I just made a change of any sort in the template "header" section, then selected "yes" when asked if I want to update dependent pages, that would ensure the child pages ended up with those c

I just subscribed to Dreamweaver version 20 today. It looks very nice interface.Previously I have been using old version CS5 which I purchased many years ago.Previously, after creating a template page, I would go back to file create page, highlight template in the drop down box, and click create.By doing so, I would be able to create unlimited child pages which would update when changes were made on the parent template.I don't see any way to create child pages in version 20.I called the "support" # . . . and the person said he "did not know how to create a child page". He put me on hold for 20 minutes (!!) then came back and asked if a supervisor could call me back.Is this for REAL???   Is this the support I get for paying $30/mo to subscribe?  Incredible.I THEN tried the adobe "chat" . . . the person said "send me a screen shot to " (an email address).I think Adobe support has really 'tanked' since the older days when I used CS5Well, I'll give it a shot here on the "for

Hi,This is perhaps sort of a weird question.  I used to have an older version of DW on a Win 7 computer years ago.  I used it to build a web site that is currently up and running.  I currently do not have DW on my new Win 10 computer.  And it has been years since I did any web design and have basically forgotten everything.  My question is this:  How can I access my website, without DW, and make changes to it?   I think I found an "ftp host address" and password for the site.  Is there a free app that would fairly easily do what I want to do? Thanks.

What kind of ritual do I have to do to get Dreamweaver to install on my laptop which has windows 10. I had no issues when I put on my MacBook. Which probably makes sense.  I don't remember it every being this difficult. Same issues with Photoshop

Hello, I am using Dreamweaver CC 2020 and was trying to create a simple Html page to copy and paste the code into a website for a client. I do this every once in a while, and it's a quick way to write a press release, in code and save it for an archive of what I posted to the site (an asp Chamber of Commerce site that allows their members to post news articles.)  I have always built the Html and then saved it as a backup in its respective folder and then copied and pasted the code to the Chamber site. Tonight, every time I tried to make a correction to the code, edit it, or change things around--the code either scrambled, or jumped to another line, or deleted some of the text. After an agonizing hour of attempting to work around it, with continued frustration, I fired up my copy of Brackets and am now using it.  Is this a recent, known bug?  The anomaly is certainly new. Adobe CC since the beginningMac OS 10.14.6 Mojave16 GB RamDreamweaver Build 15196

Hi there, For some reason, my Dreamweaver hasdecided to keep switching between HTML and CSS when I undo or redo. It's very frustrating as I am losing where I am in the code. Is there a way to turn this off? Thanks!

Two minutes into file transfer, Dreamweaver just crashes every single time. I'm using the latest and greatest Dreamweaver version. The older version (2018 I think) worked just fine. I can't pin point the issue. I'm running Mac, latest OS.What do I do?

Hi. I tried following the instructions on https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/using/import-export-dreamweaver-site-settings.htmlHowever, it gives me only the option to export as ".STE". I don't see the windows shown on the attached PIC 1 below. Also when "imported" to a nother computer, I see that the file name is ".STE" already in the interface as shown on PIC 2. So, should I decompress that or something? What Am I doing wrong? This happens on DW 2020. Thanlks a lot.

I'm new to Dreamweaver,I open a "template to start", configure the server, save the file locally and synchronize the server.I start the file from the local PC and the page works, I start the same page from the server and it doesn't work. It shows no errors, just a blank page. The server and domain work, because I tried to load any html file and it works.Thanks

When I am working with Dreamweaver and I may be including other files in my code. When I do a Ctrl-Z to undo something if I made changes in the linked files as well it will automatically undo changes in those other files as well in the order I did them. Is there a way to make Dreamweaver only undo changes in the file that I have currently open and not and linked files? Hope that makes sense

Hello, all, Our public website was completed in 2015, and is currently using jQuery v1.11.2.  We recently were alerted to a vulnerability that is tied to this version, and were instructed to update to a more recent version.  Since this is a public page, we have decided to not go all the way to v3.x and instead are going to use v2.2.4 as we do not know how much legacy support v3.x has. To my question:  Do I just place the v.2.2.4 .js file in the same folder and change the script src attribute to reflect the newer version?  Or is there anything else I need to do?  This is the first time I've ever needed to update jQuery. V/r, ^ _ ^

After installing Dreamweaver using Creative Cloud on Server 2019, the Manage Sites page won't load and crashes Dreamweaver.  If I kill the session and try to reopen, it automatically opens Manage Sites and the page never loads.

Deramweaver 6 how can I  have it open defaulted to design view

Simple upload of 166 MB zip file.Plenty of progress time, but nothing uploaded at the end.I dont even know what's possible to check. Here is the local view showing the westernaires file,and after all the file activity, there is the remote view - NO FILE  local                                                    remote progress bar is suspect too:  I upoloaded a jpg file with no trouble.

I just purchased Dreamweaver 2020 and I cannot edit the code directly. Right-Click > Quick Edit returns the message 'No quick edit available for current cursor position'. I cannot Edit > Cut the content out. I cannot select the code and hit the Delete key. Cannot edit in code or view mode. This is frustrating!

Hello all, Does anyone know where I can find a WordPress Extension for Dreamweaver.  I am creating a premium WordPress theme and it would be so much easier to have a WordPress Extension.  I looked at the Adobe Exchange to download one but the one that is there is out of date and won't install.  😞 

Can anyone with a Windows version of DW CS6 post a copy of what is in the root folder of the installation DVD?  I need to know the names of the  folders/files that are present.  I have what I thought was a CS6 DVD but am having a difficult time reading it in my drive.  One folder showed up on the DVD and now it isn't(!). Thanks! --Ben

I have Dreamweaver 20.0.  Does this edition support the web server yahoo when ftp and if so how can I set it up.  I have used1.  ftp with incryption and without encryption2.  with check mark passive and without. When I purchased it I was told by Adobe that I would not need a third party provider that Dreamweaver can FTP with any server.  I did specify that I had yahoo and immediately was informed by them that it works.  Was I given the wrong information? Would you be honest and provide adequate information and let me know how do I connect using the _______________________Authentication::and More OptionsThanks
