Hi, First of all let me say that I am using OS X and as per the reply to my question here How do I make Dreamweaver scan for git I have installed the universal git version.I am now using the universal git version rather than the apple git version.  Git is now installed at /usr/local/bin/git and I have updated the preferences for Git in DW to reflect this new location as shown here:However, I now have a different problem.  I can use the git tools and commit, push, pull and so on just fine as long as I use them from within the git panel of Dreamweaver but when I try to open the Terminal to do something like secure commit using my GPG key, Dreamweaver doesn't open the Terminal and instead gives me the error "Dreamweaver could not locate git bash on your computer" as shown here:Just so you know that Git is working properly via the Terminal (as long as I manually launch the Terminal and navigate to my Git Repo - here is a screenshot of that:All Git commands work properly if I manu

Hi. I just changed my website hosting company to Hostinger for my Dreamweaver CS3 website. Everything looked good with the transfer, but only my home page is accessible. All the other pages come up blank or with a "Oops, looks like the page is lost" message.  The folks at Hostinger keep mentioning me needing to upload the "database". Any idea what that is and how to access it and upload it? Thank you, Ben

Hi there,  I have a license for Dreamweaver and recently I had an issue with my 2017 Mac laptop and had to wipe it. I am redownloading everything -- including Dreamweaver -- however I am having an extremely difficult time finding my older version of Dreamweaver CS6 12.0. Is there a way I can redownload this version or am I totally screwed and forced to download the latest version?  Thank you!

DW experts Please HelpI went into to Code Preferences to turn off auto bracket close so I couuld use Emmett in a certain location.One click on un-highlighting that option in 'Code' preference then apply.Go back to my document and it is completely different:  font-size, font-style, tag carrots are in the middle of lines.I could not:  edit > undo changes.l have 5000 lines of code that is very hard for me to read.   Please Help  file attached

And the splash screen and the file menu bar at the top is small and you can't read them because they are too small. How do I make the normal size.randy

My start screen has begun displaying an odd message (“let's turn coffee into website code...”) which showed up after I had opened a .txt file inside Dreamweaver which came from favicomatic.  I used their service to create a quick set of favicons and I even donated $!, but now my startscreen seems highjacked. I've uninstalled Dreamweaver and it seemed to dissapear for a day but it has returned. I know I can turn off the start screen but I want to get the to root and understand what's happening. Help Please.   

I have successfully created a flexbox.  However, I would like this flexbox to be positioned with the polygons over it like I have it in this image.  How can I code it to look the way it does in the image? I tried to do the flexbox right under the polygons, but it did not do the way it is supposed to.

I have been told that a particular link has shown up on a web app scan for a website.  We are searching pages in the site for that link.  Doing "view page source" and searching on some random individual pages within the site have been unable to find the link so far.I was wondering if it is possible to download the entire site into Dreamweaver and having Dreamweaver search the site.  I assume that this is not possible and the only way to do it would be if you have login credentials for the account on the web server for that site?

How do I position this in Dreamweaver to get it to look like this? I have tried float: “left”; it did not work like it was supposed to work looking like the image desired.

I've just inserted an SVG, and written links to have several areas connect to other sites. It seems to work okay. But now I need to insert a second SVG on the same page, and have it work the same way. I am a retired journalist running only a small personal site now. For over a decade I was happily using Macromedia Dreamweaver 4 MX (before that I had bought DW2 and DW3) but the ancient computer it ran on has died. Of course in the meantime Adobe has bought the program from Macromedia. Now I am using a Windows 10 laptop. I installed DW4 from the CD, but this was an upgrade CD (because I had paid full price for one of the earlier versions). It asked me for the registration code (which it accepted) but it then asked me for the code for the previous version and it wouldn't accept that. So now the 30p-day trial period has run out and I cannot use DW4 any more.   I have managed to get DW3 working (it accepted the reg code and the one for the DW2 I had originally bought) but DW3 is very clunky. I don't want to buy a new program (for financial and learming curve reasons). I really want DW4 back and don't think I should have to pay anything or only a small nominal amount. Can you help pl

We just recently were updated to Windows 10 operating system from 7 Professionsal.  In the process, our Dw updated to 2019cc version.  No heads up in advance.  We are operating with no text and this is an entirely new window for Dw to us as we had been using Cs5.  Anybody know about a quickly obtainable source for a crash course in understanding how to use/navigate 2019?    

I'm working with on a page containing an SVG imported from Illustrator. I've been able to set a few sites on my list to use an <a xlink:href  . But I can't do it without my site having a black rectangle over it. With the latest iPhone update, iOS 13, I am having trouble with HTML5 Dropdown Menu's.When you press on the navigation bar for the menu to drop down, it immediatley goes back up. So there's no opportunity to click and go to other pages on the site.Does anyone know of a way around this ?

Dreamweaver 19.2.1 Build 11281 Window 10 fully updated Dreamweaver is randomly freezing at startup. I have reset the preferances, reinstalled, rebooted the computer, started using admin privileges, disabled loading prior work, .... All these sometimes work, or work for a little while. But the issue keeps returning. When it happens, I have to kill the program in the task manager. Sometimes after killing it, it will start the next time. Sometime I need to do that several times. Is there an actual fix for this??

How do you apply a common footer (and possibly header/menu) across all pages?  I am trying to help a friend out on fixing up his site and there are some changes to the footer that need to be made.  There are a lot of pages to this site and it would appear I have to go through each page and make the changes.  I am sure there are going to be more changes in the future.   It is the same for the menu at the top.  I am going to make changes there too.  How can you include another file into a page so that there is one footer and one menu that can be updated and applied to the entire site? I did see reference to doing it in php which would make sense if the site used PHP.  There is a bit of ajax code but it pulls from a node app and the site itself is not running on a server with php or any server side scripting. I have not used dreamweaver in years and I cannot figure out how to do it. Thanks for any guidance you can give me. M

Hi, This code works in Chrome and Firefox for positioning a logo within a navbar:<img src="/logo.svg" alt="logo" style="max-width: 100%; height: auto; float: left; display: inline-block; margin-top: -23%;"> However, in IE and Edge, the logo is rendering much larger than set size max limit. This fiddling renders it well, but then offsets Chrome and Firefox:<img style="height: auto; margin-top: 1.5%; float: left; display: inline-block; max-width: 43%;" alt="logo" src="/logo.svg"> Ugh... how to resolve?

I have upgraded to MacOS Catalina and for some reason, the CSS is not now working, not sure why? The CSS does show up in the 'sources' but the @Media and Selectors panels are empty Not sure how to correct this? Hope you can help Thanks Tim
