Dreamweaver

I've been trying for months to create a responsive frontpage, with only a limited understanding of HTML. Recognizing my limitations, I tried adapting a Bootstrap template, but the result failed-- when I put it online, the "cards" (I had a horizontal row of 4 clickable images, with text underneath each one) turned into a single page-wide column of flush-left text, and the images don't load, I just get some clickable text that says "card image cap".  Also, it's not really responsive, except that the text arranges itself to fit on my phone's screen, way over on the left edge of the page.This attempt is what is currently visible on my site, at crylock.net.I've made another attempt, using a downloaded template, and it works okay in Dreamweaver, as long as I keep it in the folder it came in, with several other subfolders supporting it.  I've named it index.html, but I can't figure out how to make it replace my existing index page while keeping it in the folder, and when I take it o

Greetings,latest version of Dreamweaver will not remember my view settings. I set it to split vertical code>design and after closing/opening the app everyhting reverts back to default. Extremely annoying.  Any fixes for this?Thx.J

I have been working on a specific site for a few days, all has been good.Last night, i made a copy of a file for a new page, and at some point, DW froze and i needed to shut it down via the Task Manager.Since then, i have not been able to view this file in split Design/Code view - DW keeps freezing ("Not responding") and i need to shut it down.editing and viewing other files in the same site is fine! Even other files using the same template!The file isnt even that big - 143 lines, with a few include files... and as i mentioned - similar pages (even larger ones) load fine in Splt Design/Code view.DW does not crash - it just freeze in that "Not Responding" mode.  Using Windows 10.This is what i have tried doing:1) recreate site cache2) delete the .dat cache3) delete the configuration folder4) open the file in CC 2015 (also freezes)5) make a copy of the file in a different folder  - also froze when trying to open it.6) even restarted my PC at some point....What else can be done?

Hi Everyone,I'm working on a form and would like to replace the pencil icon with text that says "download our white paper". I can take out the font awesome class and add text in the bar but need it to disappear when expanded. I started two versions below. One has the original pencil icon and the other has icon removed and replaced with copy. I'm not sure which would be easiest to revise to get what I need. I purchased a font, Mustang Roman, through Fonts.com and downloaded the font to my computer with Skyfonts. In Dreamweaver I went to Tools, Manage Fonts, Custom Font Stacks and added Mustang Roman. I also added Mustang Roman into my CSS font-family. However, my text will not display this font in either the Dreamweaver Design window or in the web browser. User error, of course. Where am I going wrong and how do I fix it correctly, no quick fix work-arounds please.And yes, I have the latest version of Dreamweaver installed.Thanks and Regards,

I have used Dreamweaver CS3 for 7 years and now I changed the computer and installed it to the new computer.  But I could not activate it using the original serial number.  It seems this old dreamweaver is no logner supported.  So I could not use it any more??    This program is supposed to be good for two computers and I only used it for one computer.  So I do not think I have to deactivate the one on the old computer.    Any comment is appreciated.   Thank you.

Hi everyone.(DISCLAIMER: I am a total beginner to this program and to coding in general)I am preparing for an exam and I have run into a problem. I was following a video from a teacher building a website, and at a certain point, he used a purple line that I cannot do myself. I believe it says      # main-container. However when I try it myself, I get a blue line instead.Due to this, I am not being able to center my items.Can someone please help me? I am probably doing something very stupid

I know that this error warning doesn't prevent it from working in the browser but is it on the radar to address this issue? I am running Dreamweaver 2019 so was hoping that this sort of error (see also CSS Variables) and non-functioning Real Time Preview would have been sorted out.Feedback from Adobe would be appreciated on this.

HiWorking in split view the R click context menu stretches across the page if I click on an item of code. But if I R click on the design or live view split side the context is normal size.  How can I change this please so that it is normal width in both? See example of extended width below.

I have started using CSS variables and Dreamweaver CC ver 19 shows an error saying that it expects a RBRACE at line 4 col 512     3     :root{4         --main-color: #f29829;5          }The variable works but I have to keep shutting the page and re-opening to see it in split viewAnybody know what might be going on here?Ian

I have the dreamweaver 2018 and when I want to edit a .jsp file I get that you can not find a valid editor for that file, try to install an add in called JSP Support_1.0.2 and a zxp file installer but I do not fix the problem ( I think it was not compatible with the dreamweaver version). Is there any other solution or some other add in that you could share with me? thank you

I would suggest to have additional option in Site Setup, where user can select if he want to use defined remote server, test server or DW Real-Time Preview. If nothing is selected, just open current file in the browser.In addition, it would be great to have ability to define a shortcuts for the different options.

Dear all,After purchasing my iMAC Pro today (which I thought was a good choice?!) Im now really worried as I'm seeing many bad reviews for apple and Adobe CC software. All my programs seem to be running ok from what I can see, but dreamweaver is running very sluggish. When trying to scroll through the live view option, it jumps all over the place.Does anyone have any advice how I can solve this issue?I really don't want to have to take this lovely machine back, but will for the sack of my beloved software?!Cheers,Jamie Stevens

My job is currently having me transcribe a lot of works in public domain to web pages, to keep on our media server. This largely has me wrapping several hundred things in <p> and <li> tags each day, and I'm looking to improve my workflow.I know there must be some function in Dreamweaver like this, but I can't figure it out and Google is failing me and only showing me things from 2006. Hi ComunityMay someone  help me with some problems in my frist Dreamweaver Homepage?Annika Fries - Multimedia Artist1. I would like to have the whole Menubar white, not only the links. Tried so many possibilities but nothing helped.     All the tags up there have a white background and z index 100 to bring in front - nothing helped...2. In preview mode, the logo is on his place up in the left corner. but now, when the site is on the server it is not where it should be - does anyone see what I made wrong?Thank you very much and kind regrads Annika

So I have a website which is coded in HTML formatting. I need to insert some PHP code which is for the cookie consent stuff so I can be compliant with GDPR rules.Do I need to convert the entire website into PHP from HTML format, or is there a way to insert PHP code into an HTML document without it spewing up loads of errors upon compiling?Thanks

How is it usually done to create an area for clients to login to their own area on a website?  Some websites have an area where you can go in and update your own info or have your files to download. Is this a plugin or link to external software? Thanks to anyone that can point me in the right direction.
