Hi, I have been continuing my quest to hand code my own website by adding an HTML/CSS slider to the homepage.  I have getting the slider to work and have added some placeholder images from Google but I am really not happy with it.  Sometimes the animation is jerkyI dont like how abrupt the animation isThe last slide doesn't display for the correct length of timeI am convinced that there is a better way to create the slider.  The information on W3Schools about sliders all relates to using javascript, which I really don't want to do. I want to stay away from javascript as much as possible and code only in HTML5 and CSS3.  The reason for this, is that I want to eventually move onto coding a mobile first site according to the principles of progressive enhancement and so I would much rather learn to code active, responsive sites without relying on any 3rd party libraries.Anyway; as I said, I am sure there is a better way for me to create the slider.  Could someone p

I am running win 10 and using DW CS5.5.  I need to convert my two sites to being responsive.  Will the DW cloud based responsive software input my DW CS5.5 and their templates?

I installed Dream Weaver CC for class and I had Dream Weaver CS6 so it up graded to CC, How can I go back to Dream Weaver CS6? I can not find it to download. CC freezes to much when I try to sync up my new pages to my web site.

I have just 'upgraded' from Dreamweaver CS6  to CC 2017 and my responsive web pages in Design view are a total mess - unusable.  In Live view and in any browser they look fine.  I can edit in Code view, but Design is much easier for certain tasks.Am I missing something???

Very disappointed to see GIT not working correctly in DW 2018 for sites that have more than a few files...If your site is very small, it seems to work fine. When you open a larger site, you cannot stage or commit files. Even sites with a few hundred files - you're outta luck.Adobe says it's a "performance problem" here:Known issues in Dreamweaver 2018 releases But I don't think it's a performance problem....If I select all files to be staged, it NEVER changes status. the commit button never lights up....no matter how long I wait...Really makes me wonder what kind of testing Adobe does before they release updates. Hey Adobe, you can hire me for QA and avoid issues like this.Here we go again...waiting for another update with bug fixes....

I installed Dreamweaver this evening and when trying to launch for first time I get this message:The procedure entry point_crtCreateSymbolicLinkW could not be located in the dynamic link libraryC:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSVCP110.dll.I'm a beginner and this is way over my head.  Please advise!

It seems like Dreamweaver is just randomly pasting text into my code. Html tags are "pasted" into with fragments of text.This is happening with CC 18.0, build 10136.This has been going on a very long time. Haroldntx and Jules1587746 in the following thread were having the same problems. The thread is a year old!!!Dreamweaver CC 2017 - what a mess! WTH is going on? Has this got something to do with split view?CC Master suite subscription is WAY too expensive to not have cut and paste functionality.

I am having issues seeing Design View. I am in a class where we use a textbook and follow step by step directions. The book wants me to use Design view but whenever I click on it I get the following issue. I go to View - Design and it defaults back to live view and a blank screen. Help please!

I'm using Dreamweaver cc 2017. It would be a great help if I could print out a PDF for descriptions of the text properties. Does Adobe have anything like this?

In 2016 I used to have my files sort by date so when I updated it went to the top. I don't see where I select that option in 2017

Sometimes the simplest things can make you come to a screeching halt....I have the latest version of CC and I've opened up the Standard toolbar but now I want my menu to come back and I can't figure out how to close the standard toolbar and bring the menu items back. I've tried right-clicking in the toolbar, dragging it, etc. What am I missing?

This feature was added a few versions ago and although I know I can edit a style sheet to change the background colour of tag highlighting (I've no idea what it's actually called) can it be completely disabled in the latest 2018 version? Here's a screen grab to illustrate what I'm referring to:

How can I clear Find and Replace?Even though I clear the last search term from the Find and Replace window, and press the tab or return key, and type a new word or phrase in the Find and Replace rectangle, Dreamweaver keeps on highlighting the last search term that I had searched for.

The transitional color overlay that helps fade in each image in a slider happens to be a dark gray. Used this...RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.html -f RewriteRule ^(.*)$ $1.htmlPages connect both without the .html and with when typed into browser. However, when I use my nav menu links in the site.. they revert automatically to displaying the .html. How can I further modify to cover those internal menu links?Thank you!

I just purchased the Creative cloud and teacher edition plan and have been trying to download Adobe Dreamweaver CC, but can't install it. Basically what happens is that I download the Dreamweaver installer which works fine until I enter my e-mail and password, which after doing so the installer simply goes blank and does nothing. I've tried several times and the installer goes blank and freezes every time I do this, any help please? Attached is a screenshot of the installer blank.

I got a new laptop and am trying to move my dreamweaver cs6 to it. I ran the setup but now I can't run the activation program: adobe.dreamweaver.cs6.activation.exe.  The error I get is: insufficient resources exist to complete the requested service. When I click on OK the program ends and gets deleted from my hard drive.I've run it as an administrator and regular.Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It was mentioned previously here in one of my posts that a floating Back to Top button would be preferable to a single link at the bottom of the page or as I was intending having a number of links at specific intervals of the page.I have looked into this and would like to implement this in my site. I want to add a message box with a link plus a Back to Top button box that floats up and down the page as the visitor does so.Can anyone suggest a way I could do this please?Thanks in advance!

I have been running a Family Tree web site for well over sixteen years and I started out using Cute.F.T.P. Later I started using Dreamweaver on the insistence of my tech savvy daughter. The site now contains well over two thousand files comprising of birth, death and marriage certificates together with copies of parish baptisms and marriage records plus photographs that pertain to each person that appears on the site, and that is about three hundred and fifty at the moment.As I have never had a lesson and have picked up the running of the site as I went along. What I like is to find away to manage to site and maybe have some face to face lessons, so that the information imparted to me, sticks
