I'm not sure why I can't get my text links at the top right to change color. I'm trying to make them white, and then some other darker color for hover, but nothing I put in the CSS seems to work.I have the code below and the site is live at here(Im not sure why indent made this all a table, but I can't get rid of it now...) <!--Right Side of Nav--> <div id="nav_container"> <li> <a href="/organdonor.html" >WORK</a> </li> <!--<li> <a href="#">PROCESS</a> </li>--> <li> <a href="/about.html" >ABOUT</a> </li> <span class="clearfix"></s

Hello, I am a confessed complete and utter novice when it comes to anything related to web design. I am currently building a website as part of a requirement for one of my college modules. I've run into an issue with the carousel feature in dreamweaver. Firstly, I can't figure out how to get the carousel exactly where I want it. The aim is to have it below a static image on my page with little to no space in between. Both the carousel and the image are in the same section. However, when I go to insert the carousel it inserts in between the first two sections, which leaves a blank white space between the background colours of the sections and looks terrible. In addition, for some reason two of the images in the carousel are identically sized yet one is far larger. I can't fathom why that is.Here is the code I'm working with (image names removed for obvious reasons):<secton id="one"><img src="branding" class="img-responsive" alt="Placeholder image"> <div class=
Help! I tried to call and the woman told me how to reset my password and get online, but I can't figure out how to get my dreamweaver working again. I am so tired. What do I do.

As a novice to Dreamweaver, i was able to create this website several years ago. Don't laugh to hard. www.owendawsongolf.com.Although it is simple, I've managed to use some basic SEO techniques which does get me traffic and business and i'm reluctant to change anything at this point.I'd like to create a site for real estate photography, but would like it to be nicer looking, with functioning similar to my friends site hereso my question is, the below template seems to have similar functionality, but i'm not sure how i would add my info, photos, video etc to it.Is it a matter of importing it into dreamweaver and editing from there? or is there more to it. trying to figure out the difficulty level. this might be over my head.any input would be great. thanks im using CS3
I am having Dream weaver log on problems
I have a domain name and HTML from an old web site. How hard it to upload to Dreamweaver?
After the update about a month ago, Live View refreshes to code view but all with black text. I have to close the file and reopen to get the "real Live View" back. I have tried it on a different computer and have the same problem. Any suggestions?
Today I got the update for Dreamweaver 17.0.2.9391 but now I have the problem that DW crashes when I try to open files that are > =8KB in file size (not just exactly 8KB, all that are >=8KB). The location doesn't matter, local or on a network share. Also I can open Dreamweaver normally without a file and as soon as I try to open a "large" file, it crashes instantly.Already tried to reinstall Dreamweaver of course, also with deleting all my user settings. Did not fix the problem for me.Any suggestions what I could do to make it work again with "larger" files? Or anyone that has the same problem?Event viewer for those that can read what actually is happening and might can explain it:Faulting application name: Dreamweaver.exe, version: 17.0.2.9391, time stamp: 0x58cd8789Faulting module name: Dreamweaver.exe, version: 17.0.2.9391, time stamp: 0x58cd8789Exception code: 0xc0000094Fault offset: 0x0000000000ae96c6Faulting process id: 0x3ee8Faulting application start time: 0x01d2a9fe790bf
I was doing some learning on tutorials and I was wondered where I find what version of Bootstrap I have in DW 2017.0.1 build 9346. If it isn't version 4, when is that coming out? Thanks
I have a site that has been working fine both when uploaded to BC and in dreamweaver, but for some reason the live view in DW has stopped showing my CSS and I need to upload to the server every time I make changes to see if it works.I have restarted the program, my computer and updated Dw but still no difference. DW also complains about errors in the code, "Special characters must be escaped" but as far as I and my colleagues can see there is nothing wrong. Is it any one who has run into this problem?
Hi! Hoping someone can help - I am NOT at all experienced in code but am responsible for updating information on my programs site. I suspect I inadvertently changed something in regards to the table/border color/width and now they appear dark and too bold (see screenshots below) Development site: Live site:
I am running around in circles trying to do what I think should be a fairly simple thing... I want to add an extension to DW 2017.Do I use the extension manager or not? I've tried using it and when installing the extension, get a message that it conflicts with an already installed extension (of the same name). I stop, go check Dreamweaver, Windows Extensions menu, and nothing is there. I'm completely confused and feeling stupid, which I don't do very well. Can someone please help me?
Hi,I was wondering how you can open the same file twice so that you can position one window at one point in the file and the other window in another part. Ideally, it would be best to somehow split the code view pane for the file so that you can go to one part of the file in one window and another part of the same file in the other window.I've tried undocking the pane, but that just creates a floating pane. If you try to open the same file, it doesn't do anything because it is already open. This is for Dreamweaver CC 2017.0.1ADVthanksANCE,Vik
I'm just returning from 2 months away, and the website I started has altered during this time.1. There is a box at the top of the page that wasn't there when I left, and I can't find the code that has put it there.(this is the unwanted square) Here's the coding where the unwanted box is located.<!doctype html><html><head><meta charset="utf-8"><title>groomers</title><link rel="stylesheet" href="../style_groomer.css"></head><body><header> <a href="../index.html"><img class="style-logo syle-logo-full" src="../Images/car_logo.jpg" alt="Groomer logo"></a> <nav class="style-nav"> <ul> <li><a href="../index.html"> Home</a></li> <li><a href="#"> About Us</a></li> <li><a href="#"> Contact Us</a></li>
I have html from apple mobile me, I need a software translator that can use my html into dreamweaver or some other product?
Today, when I launch my up to date DW CC 2017 (March 2017), I have experienced a new crash behavior.1. Launch DW2. Program Launches (can see credits panel)3. Within about five seconds of launch, everything turns white, then the program completely crashes.Repeatable. I have not experienced this before. Dreamweaver will no longer run on my Win7 64 computer with 32GB RAM.How can I fix this?
I have built the index page for my website and now I am trying to build the additional pages to go along with it. I am trying to make a new page for my website but each time I try to edit the new page, it also changes what is on my index page (I'm using Dreamweaver). What I have done is:Do Save As on the index.html file but change the name to illustration.html for a new page to pop up. Under Sources and the CSS file management, I click the plus and choose "Define in Page". I get a new CSS file named <style>. I add a new selector called body in order to change the background of the page. Each time I go to change the colour of the background, it also changes it in the index file. What am I doing wrong? Here is the code I have for my index.html page:<!doctype html><html><head><meta charset="UTF-8"><title>JACQUELINE VO</title><link href="file:///Macintosh%20HD/Users/emmasoolepp/Desktop/Website/Styles.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"><!
Hi, does anyone know how to create a customer engagement bar in Dreamweaver bootstrap? I have searched online and been unable to find anything helpful.Thank you.Carolyn
This is the current website: Education Law - Reporter Elementary & Secondary done with tables, etc, and obviously not responsive.I took on the task of redesigning it, however, I am having troubles, as this where I am at: Page Title (for now ignore the "main content" I will work on that once I get the overall "template" of the pages to be responsive. Here are my questions:1. In a mobile view (max width 414?) - how can I get the image called "preventive law reporters" to move up beneath the menu and/or to the right of the scales.2. Why do the images look better in Chrome then IE? Zoom both are 100.3. Ideally, I would like a "popup" window to offer complimentary reporters... how can I do that? Thanks in advance!!Donna
I have tried every fix that I have found online so far, including:• Deleting the current menus.xml file and replacing it with the one in the menus.bak (Dreamweaver says to rename menus.bak but it's a folder)• Deleting corrupt cache file - my folder in Application Support > Adobe > Dreamweaver CC 2017 is empty• Opening menus.xml and replacing all instances of && with &&amp;• Uninstalling and reinstalling Dreamweaver• Deleting the menus.xml file and restarting DreamweaverMy problem ended up being a permissions issue. The solution found here worked for me (changed permission on Library > Application Support > Adobe): InDesign CC Start-up Error: "...lack sufficient permissions to access the preferences folders"
Hi All,I posted a question two days ago. As this has always been a go-to forum, except once, I trusted it. My post got rejected by a moderator. The moderator said that my question was similar to a previous post, or so, and requested that I edit it. Well, how would I edit it?There was no direct assistance from the moderator just a direct rejection. This forum is supposed to be a place where people seek help and offer help. Neither one of those took place in this instance. I would ask that either the rules or the moderator be reviewed. If this is not done then remove me from the database as I do not want to be a part of this mess. It's a shame that one bad apple has to spoil the whole bunch but I can no longer trust this forum.Good luck All.Gary
Hi peeps, I am new to dreamweaver so please bear with me.I have started a web page in dreamweaver which has a top menu bar that covers the entire width of the screen in dreamweaver live view, but when I view it in Chrome it only covers around 2/3rds of the width of the screen. What gives?I would have thought that the live view in DW would give you a true representation of the page, so why is it the different in Chrome?I'm not sure which one to believe. Many thanks
