Ever since Illustrator update 26.4 and 26.4.1, Illustrator drops access to my CC libraries and requests and install of Creative Cloud which is installed and up to date. I did uninstall CC and reinstall, no change. All ok on other apps, just Illustrator and as it's an app used more often it's not user friendly. My only fix is to keep shutting down the program and restarting, please fix.
1. Delete file2. It's still there in a "Deleted folder"3. Delete again4. Am I sure?5. I think this is too much deleting
In cases where the sync process encounters some kind of error syncing a particular file, whether it was on the local machine or a file previously synced file already on the cloud, it often stops the entire syncing process. It would be a better workflow to be able to continue to sync despite any errors and sync files which can.
This is not efficient when you are in the library and you need to switch, this is too much back and forth. We're using the Libraries a lot, we can't lose time, doing back and forth with that type of list, it's not efficient. Give us the choice please
The CreativeCloud Desktop App shows a red badge indicating that I have notifications in the CC Menu. But really, these messages rarely require my attention as they seem to be mostly marketing Adobe Live events, font releases, etc. When I see the red dot in my menu bar, I think that my apps need updating. I'm becoming desensitized to this because, more times than not, the notifications are announcements instead of needed updates. It's not that I don't find the list of announcements valuable - I just feel that they inappropriately use the notification alerts. As a paying customer, I don't understand why I'm being encouraged to look at marketing material.
This has been an ongoing issue since 2015. This forum says it's solved, https://community.adobe.com/t5/creative-cloud-services/creative-cloud-moved-almost-5-000-cloud-files-to-the-trash-automatically/m-p/11311806?page=1#M15024 But it is far from solved. I just spent a significant amount of time on the chat feature with a rep. They cannot tell you why it happens. They cannot tell you how to prevent it. Bottom line, CC is unreliable at best when it comes to file storage. You are better off sharing files on Dropbox or Sharefile. This has caused significant downtime and frustration.
It is easy to save files in the Creative Cloud. Using those files outside of Adobe application would be a great feature. Like: use those files in Microsoft Office.
Actually in a good part of adobe applications i can organize assets/components in groups, so if there are a lot of components it's more easy to browse them. When i open the same libraries on the assets website i can see those groups but i cannot create new groups or modify existings groups directly from the web. This is a meaningful limitation, because may be situations where there is time to do some rearrangements but is not possible to launch applications (for example, using a tablet or a smartphone. Also i hope in a better asset navigation on mobile devices.Regards.
I was trying to figure out who I have shared my folders with but found that I had to initiate a share in order to find that information.I think including a list of collaborators below the folder/file name would make it much more convenient to find this information.
So often when either double clicking on a library element (or right clicking and selected 'Edit') nothing happens. There is no feedback to say if there is any error of any kind. Can you please resolve this bug?
It appears the Library panel is now more simplified (version 26.3.1), and users can't specify colors or fonts. The assets are only imported as "text" (which includes the entire copy), and "Artwork." I don't see any options in the Library menu to make these specifications, and all of the icons along the bottom of the panel are gone. Please allow users to add fonts and colors (independently of objects) again. Without this option, Libraries will not be as useful as they once were.
What happened to the thumbnails? The new upgrade without this feature makes it a real hassle to go back and forth between the list and the browser to see what the library items are. Please bring the thumbnails back. Thank you.
Turn off this library tab functioning. I close the tab TWENTY TIMES a day and cannot easily figure out how to just turn the damn thing off. I do not want to see it and yet, no matter how many times I close it, it still returns. Honestly about 95% of the "improvements" made to this software cause a hassle for my workflow. I do not wish to use the cloud and find all of the related tech to be irksome and unnecessarily in my way, practically constantly.
If you are using a Laptop, the automatic opening of the Library panel can be intrusive. If it is possible to disable that feature, then perhaps add that option to the dropdown menu??
The library panel should also carry imported libraries from the hard drive. I do not have reliable internet access so access to files based on my hard drive is required. THANKS.
If you need to relink elements in the Illustrator library you have to link them one at time.. even if it is an instance of the same thing. If illustrator crashes you loose all the links to library elements and I have to go back and link each one at a time. For example I have registration marks all over my artboard, they are all the same, but I have to re-link them back to the file one at a time. It can be time consuming if I have a lot of registration marks. It would be nice if you could hold shift down and select all the missing links in illustrator and then click the element in the Library once to link them back.
I work on a huge account that has 300 icons in their library. When I need to relink to one I can't search it by name, I have to scroll through them to find it. And the library isn't always in alphabetical order! What's up with that? (for unknown to me reasons sometimes they get unklined, perhaps when someone else works on the file?, there are 50 people working with this library) This is an awesome idea, but I am feeling super frustrated with it atm.
How come shared folders (links) don't have option to toggle list / thumbnail view, since we have this feature in the actual cloud? This is quite annoying for clients that you share, say, folders with zip files or other than image files.
This suggestion is is each of my already organised groups, i dont want your suggestions on how they are sorted and cant get rid of it, and i am sick of scrolling past it.
it would be great to search stock without having to create a new library
There is an Adobe Stock Addon in Powerpoint available. But having a CC libs panel would be also very useful. If not more useful… 🙂
There seems to be no way to transfer a number of colour swatches from Indesign, to a chosen library. It's easily done in Illustrator, yet Indesign only allows you to add the foreground colour. Please add a feature that allows adding of multiple swatches in Indesign, to a chosen library.
The Bridge library pane regularly has to be messed with for 10 or more minutes when I begin my work day....EVERYDAY. Why is it that every other Adobe program knows I am logged in, including the Bridge Application which shows me as being logged in, and the library pane in Bridge does NOT KNOW I AM LOGGED IN. Clearly there is a bug in the Library Pane component. I use to be a programmer; there is no legitimate reason for this to be like this. NO REASON. Seriously. Please fix this bug. It has been going on for more than two years. 10 minutes of every work day - I will never get that time back.
Please give us the option to NEVER see this giant Library Groups notification ever again. If I choose to make groups, fine. However, if I have a library without groups (either because I haven't done it yet or I simply do not want groups), the huge waste of space is ALWAYS there. I either have to scroll to find what I need or resize my libraries panel, which is unacceptable. Let us get rid of this massive waste of precious real estate!
Would be great if the Caption style files from the new captioning workflow could be added to the library so that we can easily re-use them in future projects, like we can with motion graphics and color swatches.
