Is there a way to generate an image with a transparent background. Altrnantively, will there be a way to produce an image as file with layers so we can easily  remove the background?

This can be done in the Firefly AI Assistant:

There are quite a few free background removal tools out there. I’ve been using PixMelody recently, and new users get quite a lot of free credits, which is more than enough for occasional use.

Before we had Firefly, I used Sketchfab.com It has many thousands of models. Searching for ‘Fire Truck’  brings up hundreds of results!  Click on one that works, and orientate it with the left mouse button and mouse wheel.  When it matches your image, screen grab it and remove the background with Photoshop.  It’s free and unlimited used this way, so I still use it even with 8000 Adobe credits a month.

I should add this works in After Effects and Premiere and Photoshop, and maybe Express afterwards. Black background, Screen, strengthen image with multiple layers of same thing with same process. Okay, I'm done.

I would suggest a black background and using SCREEN to delete the black in the image - your results may vary because it can get tricky, yet sometimes, doing multiple layering on the same image on top of one another, bumping up the vibrance and contrast and hue/saturation can produce some acceptable results. Again, your experience may be different, but it's a half-decent workaround. Ciao!

Firefly will generate the transparent background but when I try to download it, it saves it as a jpg image with a grey and white checkerboard background.

no help or support from Adobe on this? I worked very hard to get a bunch of photos stripped with transparent background and they are useless with the checkerboard
