Is there a way to generate an image with a transparent background. Altrnantively, will there be a way to produce an image as file with layers so we can easily  remove the background?

I should add this works in After Effects and Premiere and Photoshop, and maybe Express afterwards. Black background, Screen, strengthen image with multiple layers of same thing with same process. Okay, I'm done.

I would suggest a black background and using SCREEN to delete the black in the image - your results may vary because it can get tricky, yet sometimes, doing multiple layering on the same image on top of one another, bumping up the vibrance and contrast and hue/saturation can produce some acceptable results. Again, your experience may be different, but it's a half-decent workaround. Ciao!

Firefly will generate the transparent background but when I try to download it, it saves it as a jpg image with a grey and white checkerboard background.

Bonjour Adobe,

JSH.

To my knowledge there are only 2 ways currently to create an AI image with a transparent background (without the need to do any editing in Photoshop):

The 'Leonardo AI' website offers this feature. It is rather hit or miss, but does work to a degree.

On a decently powered PC install STABLE DIFFUSION + AUTOMATIC1111 (or better yet STABLE DIFFUSION WEBUI) + SD FORGE LAYERDIFFUSE

The 2nd option is the better option imo, but if you do not have a decently powered computer, running Stable Diffusion locally on your machine can be unbearably slow.

Hello @Mariano_Apaza8175,

Thank you for your message. I merged your message into this thread where others have raised this issue. Saving Firefly images with a transparent background is not a current feature. This thread is a request that Adobe add this feature to Firelfy.

Other replies in this thread offer work arounds.

Thanks,

Cuando intento descargar una imagen sin fondo en Adobe Firefly, aparece la primera imagen que puse para quitarle el fondo

No worries. You can use the same technique I included in that link for creating a consistent green background. You'd just be selecting all the white in the background instead of the green. It might not be necessary based on what you're getting but it's a great technque for removing any color from your backgrounds. Have fun!

Thanks mate. Your prompt "on a seamless white backdrop" works even better. Thank you and all the best from Copenhagen, Adam
