Is there a way to generate an image with a transparent background. Altrnantively, will there be a way to produce an image as file with layers so we can easily  remove the background?

This can be done in the Firefly AI Assistant:

Bonjour
Lorsque je supprime l'arriere plan d'une image tout ce passe bien, sauf que quand je la télécharge l'arrière plan est toujours la, est ce normal ?

Hi ARTOX PRODUCTION!

Currently, Firefly cannot make a transparent background. However, you can take a Firefly generated image into Adobe Express and use that to make the image transparent. Click on the share on the lower right side > Open in Adobe Express.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
KR

If Adobe Elements can generate transparent backgrounds, it seems like Firefly should be able to too. This would be extremely helpful in scenarios like making a furry or grassy object that needs to be placed, for example, on t-shirts of various colors.

Hello @Eddwars,

Thanks for your feedback. I have merged your message into this thread where others have asked for the same feature.

Hello everyone, sorry for my english, I´m testing Adobe Firefly, I create a Rudolph in there pretty awesome by the way, but im checking Adobe Firefly doesnt have an option for export only the character, people, object or anything without background I thing Could be Awesome have that option when we create some stuff in AdobeFirefly there because sometimes we dont need a background, we need just the object, character, person, or that. I know we can remmove the background with some tool in Photoshop but I thing have the option in Adobe Firefly when we create something could be more easy

I know what product backlogs can be like and even "simple" or "obvious" changes still have to be done at the expense of doing something else.

BUT, it seems ridiculous that you can select background, it removes it ready to replace it with something, so it's there as a curout... but you can't download that version.

Hi @STEFFANIE MELISA_SUER4656,

Are you asking for Firefly to be capable of generating images with a transparent background?

Thanks,

Or you could learn how to use editing software and easily create a truly transparent image from the one with the white background. If a client wants a transparent image, they want to buy one and not invest the work in doing it themselves...

I was able to partially bipass this prolem by adding "(The picture needs to be a cut-out meaning with a white backgound)". It is still one layered image but you can extract the image more easily from the background.
