P: Support for Canon .CR3 Camera-matching Profiles

There is currently zero support for .CR3 camera color profiles in Lightroom... especially since the newer Canon cameras use a .CR3 format... making it difficult to get work done. Only slightly surprised that this wasnt planned for beforehand since there still isnt a 64bit version of the adobe programs that i can use on the most current version of MacOS.

Look who's talking -- giving the same response every time

@Rikk  -- is there any official way to ping the product managers who make prioritization decisions, that, keeping existing customers on a subscription product is also important (vs acquiring new ones with 'AI' features), or this is it, this forum?

Definition of insanity.... Definition of software insanity: Making the same request over and over and over and over again, and expecting a different response.

By the way you can create an edit your own custom camera profiles to produce a color matching appearance if you so desire. One software product from Adobe is actually free to use for this task. I provided an example of such color matching many pages ago.

@andrew_rodney I don’t think Adobe actually cares what any of us think. We are a small population of people that use or used their products, and when it comes down to it, we won’t affect their bottom line. If there was a way to organize something to where it did make enough noise to get picked up by more people or more people voiced their opinions maybe it would. I’ve been a professional photojournalist for 18 years, and this is the first time I’ve been on this platform. I was searching for work arounds for a lack of camera matching profiles for the R5/R6 cameras that have been out for a year or so. That’s how I stumbled across this thread. I’m 100% not the only photojournalist to be frustrated with the lack of the camera matching profile. A lot of us are.

While you were conducting the “mutiny” and waiting for these profiles, remember to breathe 😉

We are talking and talking here and nothing happens!

We are paying for the products!

Maybe it's time for a small mutiny?

Let's start, all of us, to ask it directly from the representatives.

Calls, chats, and so on.

If Adobe wants to support the EOS R5/6 and probably any new Canon, I hope they don´t forget HIF support!

doubt they will have profiles in 10.4, and if we follow Adobe's release schedule (2-3 months) the next update should be August at best.

Capture One is no real alternative I guess. If I look into this video it does not satisfy me:

I hope Adobe will release the R6 + R5 Canon Camera Profiles with the July Update.

Last Update was on 10th of June:
