Third-party authenticator apps

Right now, Adobe only offers the option to use Adobe Account Access for app-based MFA.

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that I want to keep my logins under one MFA app as much as possible. Adobe should allow users to connect their accounts to third-party authenticator apps like Duo Mobile, Authy, LastPass Authenticator, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.

for whatever reasons, in more than the 2+ years of this thread, this request has gone nowhere.

+1

I want all my 2FA codes stored in one app on my phone, where I can back up the codes in case I lose or change my phone.

I refuse to download yet another bloated app to my phone, therefore I'm now relying on less secure SMS/email authentification.

@hopeful_solution3046 same here.  I cancelled my Paid Personal subscription because of the removal of third-party TOTP authentication apps.  I've moved from my corporate paid subscription to another solution as well.  I will never use Adobe's app.

It's very simple, Adobe. I will not use your authenticator app. Ever. So either you can continue to waste money on SMS messages for my 2FA, or you can bring back support for third-party authentication apps, as you always used to do.

Nobody wants or needs this. It offers no security benefits whatsoever.

Are any of you aware that since Adobe Accounts support FIDO2, if you utilise a credential manager like Bitwarden, you can add it to that instead? It's a shame that we can't have TOTP too, for when the client doesn't support FIDO2. However, if you never use an exotic internet browser, it'll work better than TOTP ever did.

I just moved to a different Authenticator app. Seems like I have to disable 2FA because I certainly will not download an app for that. Useless.

Just found out I can no longer use my preferred 2FA app to secure my Adobe account.
This is a terrible decision by Adobe. If every other software too that view my phone would be cluttered up with  2FA apps, so I have got rid of 2FA from my account

Please make it optional. Either using an inhouse auth app, or using a 3rd party one. Choice is key, both solutions are secure.

With currently obligating customers to undesired solutions, convenience is trampled on. So please improve!

I Used to be a paying subscriber of Adobe Professional tools.  When this feature was removed, I cancelled my paid subscription and will never consider going back until 3rd party TOTP account subscription is returned.

microsoft's security app doesn't push notifications to wearables.
