Verification Code Scam

Hi there, more of a heads up than anything. I recieved a prompt to update my password earlier. When trying to do so, my 6 digit verification code came from a UK mobile number (+44 7935 718317) via SMS with just a 6 digit code and nothing else instead of from the usual Adobe official account. I was able to phone it and leave - shall we say - an impolite message, but just be careful if you're resetting your password any time soon. I'm not sure exactly what's happened there, whether someone has access to my account or it's something on Adobe's side, but just be vigilant.

Hi everyone. Following up on this thread after discussing with our Identity team. The codes you received are legitimate.

We use a a service to send SMS (which in turn uses their own providers and so on). Depending on the country these SMS messages get sent via a dedicated short number, but more often they show up as regular phone numbers registered in the respective country. I'll ping our support team to add more clarity to the HelpX article.

Sometimes the carrier modifies the message and may send only the code (and not the rest of the message). We will investigate this some more with different carriers.

    Sorry if confusing. It's a UK mobile (cellphone) number +44 7522 403754

All other my othe codes came form a text that had Adobe as the sender.

Had exactly the same form this number 07522403754 this morning. When I didn't use it it sent the code again. I used my email address to log in, changed my password and taken off my mobile as a verification option. Now logging in with their verification app. Even called my mobile provider to see if they can see any strange activities on my account. Nothing comes up. Adobe support didn't understand what I'm talking about.
It's doesn't fill you with confidence
, as I can see this is going back to 2020 on other threads and cannot find a response from Adobe.
