Lightroom Classic already supports USB tethering for a wide range of Sony cameras. Adobe uses Sony's proprietary PTP extensions, which are documented in Sony’s “Camera Remote Command” documentation.Sony has released an updated version of its “Camera Remote Command” documentation, which explains how to add PTP-IP network support for cameras supporting Camera Control PTP 3 (models released from 2020 onwards: A1, A1 II, A9 II, A9 III, A7R IV, A7R IVA, A7R V, A7S III, A7C, A7C II, A7CR and A6700).Please add PTP-IP support to the current Lightroom Classic tethering code, so that users of modern Sony cameras can tether their cameras by Wi-Fi, built-in Ethernet or a USB-C-to-Ethernet adapter (depending on the networking support in their camera).Not only would network tethering support be a worthwhile feature enhancement, but adding network tethering will help to overcome user frustration and Adobe’s support burden from the USB driver clash between Sony Imaging Edge and Lightroom Classic on Wi

Please, oh please, add a simple liquify or warp tool to the Q panel! Wedding photographers adore Lightroom, but round-tripping 1500 photos over to CC just to give errant armpits and dress straps a five-second cleanup is an enormous bog. Lightroom, I love you. This is all I ask to make my world complete. Please, we beg of you, let us move some pixels!

Would like the ability to create the grid thumbnails in grid mode outside of generating standard previews. It’s my understanding these are separate 160x106px previews. This is helpful with large collection - for example after clearing preview file. Right now, the only option is to scroll the grid view and wait for them to populate. I’ve pulled the Lightroom window out to make the window extra extra extra wide to save in having to scroll to generate, but this obviously isn’t ideal. Thank you!

If one takes a panorama , it can be that the photos when joined show colour differences, or haze, or glare etc, and if the join made by photoshop runs through differing areas of haze, or grass, or sky, its a fail. There is NO MEANS of opening these images anywhere and equalising the photos. Lightroom I am shown allows a reference photo to left of one being matched to it, by use of all the sliders and human eye and input. A lot of fiddling to try and marry all 12 pics. By the time you get to the 12th picture a certain amount of difference will creep in. If as I am doing, working with somobody elses photo of a pump compartment for photogrammetry, to have the same exposure/hue/tint/saturation/lightness etc for each pic, is very tricky, yet AI would solve this, lightroom doesnt even show which pic in the thumbnail strip is the one on screen ! Very bad experience. I gave in, To be able to select the images and say match to the reference shot, such is needed. A post called color match as in

Dark mode in Windows would be very useful, I use it on my system and everything is very eye pleasing, but the LRC toolbar is still white which ends up being distracting when working on dark photos since the rest of the UI is dark. It makes no sense that the toolbar does not follow the OS system theme, or at least have a proper dark mode option in LRC settings somewhere?   Pic related,t hanks!  

Description: I am requesting a UI update for Lightroom to ensure all pop-up menus, specifically the "Copy Settings"dialog, respect the selected Dark Theme.The Problem: Currently, when working in the dark interface, copying settings triggers a bright white pop-up. This creates extreme visual contrast ("light flashes") that causes eye strain and breaks the editing flow, especially in low-light environments or during long professional sessions.Proposed Solution: Update the "Copy Settings" and "Paste Settings" dialog boxes to have a dark background and light text, matching the rest of the Lightroom Pro/Classic interface.Why it matters: Consistency in UI is crucial for professional photo editing. A unified dark mode will improve accessibility and reduce eye fatigue for millions of users who prefer working in a dark environment. 

Please add a way to zoom in on the live preview image while in tethered shooting mode in order to really dial in focus. Both Capture One and the Canon Software (back when it used to work -- it stopped connecting to my camera a couple of years ago) have a way to double click the live view of a shot to get an extreme zoom of the shot, so you could really ensure your product is in focus. I would REALLY love Lightroom Classic to have this feature. The current auto-focus is not good enough when shooting products where you want a specific thing to be in focus while using manual focus. Since I am using flash and not continuous lighting, the preview can be a bit dark and tends to look blurry/out of focus even when full screen and even when it is in focus.PLEASE I am BEGGING you to add the ability to zoom in on the live preview!

Very small feature request; when exporting large batch of photos, and Lightroom Classic in minimized, hovering my cursor over its icon in the taskbar (Windows 11) shows the percentage completed, but upon maximizing the application, that percentage is nowhere to be seen, even when hovering the cursor above LR icon in the task bar. I’m requesting the percentage completed is shown adjacent to the export progress bar. 

As a long term user of Lightroom Classic, it is great to see AI enabled object selections. Makes the workflow of a property photographer much easier, so THANK YOU for that.One object we often need selected is WINDOWS (excluding the window frame) to enable us to match the indoor exposure with the brighter outdoors. At the moment, this is achieved by selecting a window pane using the object selection tool, the adding every other window pane to the selection before reducing the exposure. It would be GREAT if a feature could be implemented where there is an AI text prompt for object selection where we could type “select window panes” or “select ceilings”, both tasks done repeatedly everyday. A text box under the object selection pane in which one can prompt what to SELECT. This would be FANTASTIC, please please please implement team!Thank youJosh

Could Adobe Lightroom Classic incorporate a feature that automates window masking in real estate photo editing, facilitating 'window pulls' without the need for manual brushing?   Love the products!   greets!

if we can upload in our cloud space multiple diffrent catalogs and have them organized as folder in our cloud would be very nice

Hi,A tool frequently used by photojournalists is to use the lock to flag pictures for import and filing. This allows you to review and flag on the camera as you are shooting a lot of frames, rather than taking the time to import and review hundreds of pictures while you're on a tight deadline.PhotoMechanic allows the photographer to only import the locked images. Would it be possible for Lightroom to have this feature?From what I understand, all that happens is that the file system flag for "read-only" is set and that is how PM recognizes it. Why can't Lightroom?

Is it possible that you can place 2 watermarks/logos in the watermark edit. So place a watermark at the top right and bottom right at the same time. Thanks, Roy Froma

Feature: allow users to provide criteria for name-space search (face-name matches) that exclude (prefer) according to user-specified criteria. Most important criteria for matching is capture time, but other criteria (keyword / keyword groups, for example) could be used. Fuzzy logic implementation would also be possible (e.g. heavily weight likely results by year of capture, presence in collections/collection sets, etc)This will GREATLY reduce the number of false-positive matches.Example using capture time:-User has large catalog containing many photographs, including images going many years.-Selects a group of photos (by collection set, folder years, search criteria, etc) that all have capture times of 2025.-In suggested matches, Lightroom currently displays potential matches for names that are only in images prior to 2005 (real world example). -Provide an option for user to specify capture-time periods (eg 2020-present), and the number of false matches drops dramatically. -All of this

I have a main catalog to which I occasionally add photos using the Import from another catalog option. It doesn't happen often, but sometimes those photos are already in the main catalog with edits and other metadata. When faced with duplicates, Lightroom offers the option to Keep old settings as virtual copies, but it seems more logical to me that when faced with duplicates, the opposite option should be available, i.e., to add the photos from the imported secondary catalog as virtual copies while keeping the existing ones as Masters. This would allow users to compare both versions side-by-side and delete the unnecessary one without risking the integrity of their primary edits.In my case, there are usually no edits in the imported catalog, but to be on the safe side, I would like to import it (as a virtual copy) so that I can compare, check, and delete them if necessary.

Lightroom Classic, like Lightroom CC (what a confusion this naming causes!) should be able to upload full raw files to the cloud and not just smart previews. This is clearly a missing feature. This is especially handy if you mainly use Lightroom Classic because of its much more powerful editing and ability to actually print but would love to edit the full image from other machines.

Please add an option to turn off the obnoxious grey transparency grid when viewing files in Develop mode. You know, like Photoshop.

Es wäre super, wenn man ein Bild aus LR in FireFly sendet und man anschliessend wieder mit dem korrigierten Bild in den LR Katalog zurück gehen kann. So wie das auch ist, wenn ich von LR in Photoshop bearbeite und das Bild dann automatisch in den LR Katalog übernommen wird

Hello,   TLDR: I wish the Ai was more clever when syncing subject masks, syncing faces rather than 'Person numbers'    While editing I often create Ai subject masks for one or two people in an image. Let's say it's the bride & groom walking down the aisle for example... I've then got a big sequence of these images that I would like to sync.  But when you sync, the Ai more often than not decides to choose 2 random people sitting off to the side, instead of the first image where I've selected the bride & groom.    Looking into it deeper, it seems it always syncs the 'person number(s)' rather than the actual intended target. So after correcting the mask to the correct people - some shots of the bride & groom could be labelled differently... 'Person 2 & Person 3' while the next shot could be 'Person 3 & Person 4' or if it's getting it really wrong 'Person 5 & Person 6' ....even though the shot is only marginally different from the first

I am a frequent user of the Masking tools in Lightroom Classic, particularly for portrait editing. I often create detailed subject masks that include multiple components such as eyes, face skin, body skin, etc., and then sync those masks across similar images in a session.The problem occurs when there are multiple people in the next image. After syncing, all of the subject-based masks are typically applied to only one person, rather than distributing correctly between subjects. As a result, I have to manually go into each individual mask component (eyes, skin, body, etc.), delete those selections, and then reassign them to the correct subject. This process is repetitive and time-consuming.It would be extremely helpful to have an easier way to clear all components within a mask at once, similar to how Lightroom allows you to remove missing mask areas, so that I can quickly reselect the correct subject and regenerate the appropriate features. Ideally, there would be a simple “Clear Mask

The AI for masking is brilliant. What would be nicer is if when I send an image to edit in Photoshop, it sends the mask too. After all, it's already created.   Alternatley, If I open an image in Photoshop's ACR, and I create a mask, why can't it open with the mask as a layer. It seems, again, since the mask is already created, it should be no problem, barely an inconvience.   Thank you for your consideration, Vito S.

I'd like to view the import thumbnails larger, by reducing the number across the screen from the current least(6) down to even 2. This would allow easy viewing without having to open the image. I scan a lot of wildlife images and sometimes the animal is very small in the image, making the thumbnails bigger would make it considerably easier to see if I captured the decisive moment.

Lightroom recently added more precision into the timestamp metadata. 99% of the time this is not useful to my workflow and confuses my brain for a moment while I try to understand what I’m looking at. It would be great to have the option to show only hours:minutes:seconds and hide the milliseconds. 

this would be a huge help. The auto mask feature is sometimes very useful, but other times, I felt myself weighing the pro's and cons of bringing the image into photoshop simply to be able to use the pen tool. I really wish Adobe would consider bringing the pen tool to the LR adjustment brush menu's Thanks

Implement the pen system from photoshop and illustrator as a masking tool in LR classic. Auto mask and object selection are TERRIBLE. I spend an insane amount of time cleaning up the terrible selection job that the forced automatic system does, when if I was in photoshop I could just go and pen out a mask, set the feather selection manually, and then my mask would be complete in minutes instead of killing half my afternoon fighting with the poorly coded “AI” driven automatic selection system. Please stop forcing automatic selection systems on us and give us back user control.
