Hi! I would like it for Adobe Lightroom Classic to have color sample points like ACR. In ACR I can make accurate color corrections by having up to 10 color sample points. I cannot do this in Lightroom. Please add color sample points to Lightroom Classic so I can color correct accurately. Thank you very much.
During File Import, if you tick 'Into Subfolders' for file Destination supercedes "Organize: By Date". It would be far more convenient if one could import "By Date" and then "Into Subfolder" - as oftentimes when shooting events or high volume starting to organzise between SD-cards or even in between shoots is highly convenient. One Day I might be importing a number of jobs during the day before I can actually come around to manage them, and then if they had all imported on the same date into Different Subfolders, that would be extremely helpful. Additionally, if importing into a Collection, you should be able to tick 'Create Subfolder in library' or something of that effect. It would really underpin the organizational element of lightroom and encourage people(myself included) to make full use of Collections. Which are such a powerful tool. THank you for the consideration.
Currently there is no option to discard all keywords (but keep all other meta data) in the Export-menu. So my suggestion is to add this option. Or did I miss something?
It is currently necessary to open the context menu to access the intersection of masks. Adding an "Intersect" button next to the "add" and "subtract" buttons would save a few hundred clicks per day for people who, like me, use this feature a lot.
After a crop, I noticed that the whole picture is used by Lightroom when erasing details (spot removal) in the corners or the edges of a picture. The result is that quite often there is something of the cropped section in the corrected zone. I guess that taking into account the cropped image and not the whole one would be more efficient... To make myself clear an example attanched, the crop and the result.I finally used the healing tool to get a satisfaying result.
When I have multiple Masks on an image, I cannot see a way of re-ordering those masks. Example, if I had masks for Background, Sky, People, Eyes. The order of the masks seems to be fixed to the order you created them in. There doesn't appear to be a way of dragging or moving the masks into a more logical preferred order. As I'm considering batch adding a whole set of masks to every single image. It would be great to be able to re-order the masks if wanted. Unless I'm missing something.
Hi! I have a lot of white background pictures to retouch, an really, my eyes hurt for this angry Highlight Clipping red colour. In "Masks" there is few colours to choose, here is not. I'll be glad to see that in future releases, maybe in general settings few default or my own in HEX. I was searching this in google, yt, and there is no way to do that right now. Thank you for reading it! This option will help a lot of packshots photographers to not loose their eyeballs 😉
An AI-supported function which automatically searches for exposure brackets or panorama shots in specified memory locations after activation. The images found could then be automatically created as a stack or the respective stitching could be started as an HDR or panorama. An AI-supported function could "evaluate" whether the stitching worked well or whether there were problems - AI support could also be used to "intelligently" denoise or interpolate the resolution and details using the existing images.
An export function in Lightroom Classic which denoises the images with AI Denoising before converting them to the target format.I envision this as a normal selectable export function - which is placed before the "sharpen for" option and either "intelligently" sets the level of AI denoising - or where you can select a fixed percentage. The images are then temporarily denoised in full resolution during export - and then converted to the respective target format and target resolution. This would avoid the cumbersome process of developing and corresponding denoising with huge files - this is still needed for individual photos - but not necessarily for the masses.
Hi, Hi have hundreds of bracketed shots to merge when I come back from work at night. Sometimes more than 500, composed of 5 * 125Mo files. It takes a wile to proceed, so I launch everithing at night to be ready to be edited in the morning. Sometimes, I come back in the morning and there is a prompt saying xxx pictures can not be merged (I've made an error while selecting some files). The issue is that the hole process of merging is halted until I dismiss the error message. This morning, for exemple, I came back with an error message for 3 pictures. Then dismissed the prompt.... there was 245 files waiting in the queue LR didn't proceed at night only 'cause it waited for me to dismiss the error message. It is a huge waste of time. Please, simply implement a behavior for lightroom to process everything that it's OK and simply put the error message at the end. Thanks a lot
It would be great if we could add more functionality and flexibility to "Create a Virtual Copy" (In the Develop & Library Modules) when right clicking the preview in the filmstrip or library Instead of "Create a Virtual Copy" I would like to see it become it's own sub-menu titled: "Virtual Copies..." Inside the sub-menu would be the following: Create Duplicate Copy Rename Copy Extension Create Copy Preset(s) B&W Sepia FT04 User Preset AI Denoise Cropped etc. My current workflow is that I will: Edit a color photo the way I like it Modify into B&W* (if desired) Apply DeNoise* (if applicable) Edit outside of Lightroom* (if applicable) Crop* (sometimes for multiple uses, Social Media, Wallpaper, Web, Client etc.) *Often means I make a virtual copy. I make a lot of virtual copies and it gets a bit annoying when you have a bunch haha. It would be really awesome to have a designated "Create a Copy with X Preset" and the option to edit the
Currently when photo is rotated (an angle is changed) cropping out stops when a corner hits the image's edge.Could we have a feature that would allows us keep cropping out by sliding the whole croping area (allowing the corner at the image border sliding along it)?
Presently I will pre-color a set of photos to a specific color I avoid using for other category of label (ie Yellow). When the merge is complete the resulting merge photo will be yellow. I have two proposed ideas for this process.1. When photos are selected for merge and if successful Lightroom will automatically label them together with the resultant photo with a color not in the present set ... like orange, cyan or otherwise. This could be an option selected by the user with an additional tick box selection. 2. The present process will add a suffix to the resultant photo. This presents a problem as when we batch rename photos in a folder/collection etc those suffix are gone. Suggest the resulting merged photo be populated with an appopriate keyword. I now manually add #hdr, #pano, #hdr#pano depending on which merge process I had used. Keywords do not get changed when one do a batch rename.Following is a mock up of the UI. If for any reason no new colors could be set
I really need a feature where lightroom classic can do both: downgrade photos that are stored as originals in the cloud to smart previews, and the reverse. It should keep all current settings such as face recognition. It would also need filters for sync status/type in order to find images. Closer integration and control between LR classic and cloud eco system would mean I would pay more for cloud storage. As is stands, I don't use my cloud storage or import via LR CC because of the volume of my work (33tb) and the unavailability of controls to manage that storage. Current workaround: As it stands, the only way to clear cloud storage is to unsync the collection in classic, then remove the images from all synced images, then resync the collection. However there's no indication in classic what images are stored as origionals so you have to use LR CC desktop to filter sync status images, and find what collections they are in as LR mobile doesn't have that option. Hi there, does anybody know if there is a possibility of auto-creating a smartpreview while autoimporting (it only allows 1:1 previews)? I already tried a plug-in called "folder watch" wich allows smart-previewss at autoimport but also auto-creates 1:1-previews (can't be adjusted) which makes the plugin usless for me because the rendering process in this case takes way to long 😞 any ideas?
The written documentation for the People feature needs improvement. In the chapter: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/face-recognition.html there are only written instructions for tagging faces, not a word about how to use the names? Typically, I scan/read the text and ignore videos on these help pages because it's faster and the text covers the key issues. Not here, though! Eventually I watched the video and it finally explained that the names get added as keywords and how to use them to get a filtered list of photos. It would be nice to have some text about this. Description: In the Grid Loupe View, there is an icon that you can use to draw & name faces that have been missed by the automatic people scan ("Draw Face Region"). It gets tedious to draw these all by hand, esp. with photos containing multiple faces. Thus I would like to suggest adding a button that re-scans the currentimage automatically, including adding a suggested name. Benefit: speeds up assigning names to people. Description. The list of Unnamed People starts with people that have stacks of more than 1 image, sorted in descending order of number of images in stacks. In my case, in several cases the same name is showing up in multiple stacks that are not adjacent, thus it would be more efficient to be able sort the faces by Name. Also, once we are past the stacks, it would be LOT more efficient to be able to sort the faces by name, as that way one can click-shift-click multiple adjacent images with the same name and accept them at once. Why is this valuable to you? Speeds up assigning names. Since I currently have over 10,000 Unnamed People every little bit of efficiency helps. Version of the app:13.2Platform and OS version: Windows 11 Pro - 23H2 Thanks, Adriaan Sachtler
When I am working in the list of Unnamed People, there is an option to remove the suggested name (circle with diagonal bar, "No this is not...."). I would like to go a step further and be able to hide/unhide faces that have a "?". Benefit: I use the "?" for unidentified people that I don't want to remove entirely, but don't want to bother figuring out names for right now. Thus, I don't want to keep seeing them until later. For this an option to hide/unhide "?" would be very useful, as the Unnamed People panel is cluttered enough with -in my case- over 10,000 faces. I have been scanning a lot of family photos, so I thought it might be useful to try the People feature. At this time, I have 8727 photos scanned (not done yet!), 1935 Named people faces, and 11,759 Unnamed people faces. As you can see, a daunting task. I would like to give some feedback on this to improve, speed up the process. 1) Be able to select which face is shown in the Named People. I saw that someone already asked if this can be done and the answer was no, so would like to explicitly list this as a suggestion. My 46 year old son has his baby photo showing. Others have photos showing that would make the proverbial drivers license a glamor shot. Makes no sense. 2) I think this broke in the recent update from a day ago: when I double click on a Named Person, the individual faces have NO right-click menu. How do we fix mistakes? There should be an option to remove faces from a Named Person collection. 3) When I am working in the list of Unnamed People, there is an option to remove t
At smart collection rules, 'Collection' added by 13.2, More function I want that "is empty" and "isn't empty". "is empty" selects all photos NOT contained by any collections. "isn't empty" selects all photos contained by any collections.
Would like to see Sub-menu like the Develop. This will shorten the root menu.Possible examples of submenu grouping highlite in colors.Personally I seldom use camera settings in my filter presets nor Creator, copyright and job.Attached is the present where there's only sub-menu for Develop (which is good). Hopefully the development team will add one or two groupings .. or even have a Windows like Explorer Quick Access group users could add to for frequently used selection.
Develop Module does not allow for lens profile corrections of TIFF Files.
Add the 'Date Time Original' EXIF data value to the list of availabe sort selection criteria on the Library tab. This should be both the date and time value sorted as one field.
Super specific, but a color calibrator for the colorblind, there's only 5 types and only 4 would require a shift.
