Less a bug than a terrible design decision. When I import photos into lightroom, the import dialog defaults to the last album I shared. In addition, the selected album text is small and low contrast so I don't notice it. As a result, I end up unitentionally sharing all the photos from my next import with whoever I shared my last album with. This leads to frequent unintentional sharing of what could be very private data. This is a serious privacy concern. Imported photos should never be shared automatically or without my explicit knowledge and decision.
We really need a "convenient" way to print. Some of us still like to create prints to hang on a wall. While I know the printing is still available in "classic", to be able to move forward with Adode, an integrated print function needs to be added to Lightroom CC.
I am a frequent user of Lightroom (Cloud) and I appreciate the ease of use and mobile synchronization. However, I am missing a crucial feature for backup and organization. Currently, it's difficult to manage local backups of my entire photo library from the cloud. I would like a feature that allows me to: 1. **Export/Sync all my folders and subfolders with nested albums from Lightroom Cloud to a local hard drive.**2. **Maintain the same folder and album structure on the local drive as it exists in the cloud.**3. **Automatically sync future changes (new photos, new albums, edits) from the cloud to the local drive.** This functionality would give me peace of mind by ensuring I have a complete, organized backup of my entire library, including the folder structure I've already created. This is especially important for professional photographers or serious hobbyists who need reliable local copies of their work. Thank you for considering this request.
I have been reacquainting myself with Lightroom and ran into a question when using the Edit In functionality. I right-click on the thumbnail image and select the external editor that I want to use. LR then properly send the image to that editor, but does so as a tif file. Ordinarily that would be fine, but the Affinity app only exports as a tiff so I end up with 2 images and have to manually remove one of them from the temp storage area. Is there any way to set what format the Edit In functionality uses? I would prefer to use psd because then I would not have this issue with suffixes, but I can not find any setting that allows me to do that. It would also be OK if I could have LR export as tiff, but I can't do that either. I work on a 2024 M3 Mac running Sequoia.
Hello Everyone, I think a very valuable AI tool would be a slider to remove stretch marks which are very apparent especially on dark skinned bodies (fair skinned too but less of an issue). Can we add that to the list of potential new features? TY
In the “Information” panel, the data at the top is not readable. It appears in grey text, and it should be white to make it easier to read. This concerns the camera model, lens, dimensions, and EXIF information.
1) Enhanced Square Grid View For quickly searching, finding, and editing photo information, it would be very useful if the square grid view could optionally display the photo title (or other metadata such as copyright, camera, keywords, etc.). 2) New "List" View For the reasons mentioned above, a list view would also be useful, in which the metadata for all/selected photos can be displayed simultaneously in freely configurable columns.
Creo necesario una actualización sea en ligthroom o photoshop, dónde se pueda hacer separación de frecuencias y suavisado de piel con IA, parecido al de EVOTO

I really enjoy the new "Local" storage option in the Lightroom CC desktop app but the fact that you have to drill down to a specific folder to view files makes it painful. It would be great if selecting a parent folder, all the photos in the child folder would show up. I understand there's performances issues in doing this but it's not much different than opening one folder with a lot more files in it.
Lightroom Ver. 9 Lightroom doesn't seems to take into account the time zone when I want to correctly rename my pictures using Date (YYYY-MM-SS HH-MM-SS). My local time: UTC -5 Time Zone defined correctly in my camera Time captured of a picture shown in Lightroom info panel: Novermber 9 2005 at 14:28:16, When I want to rename that same picture Lightroom renamed it as 2025-11-09 19-28-16 I subsenquently tried to rename the same picture with Lightroom Classic: Classic renamed it correctly as 2025-11-09 14-28-16. Thanks Normand Cloutier
It would be great if there was a way to link a Pixelfed account and directly post to it.
I like how I can export images to my phone with a watermark of my choice but I would like to be able to either export the photoes with the watermark to a Adobe file then share as a link. Another idea is when selecting multiple photos and choose to share the shareable link, have a setting gadget wheel where you can add a watermark to every photo
I’ve noticed that the Quick Actions feature (like one-click background blur and portrait retouching) is available when I use Lightroom in the browser, but I can’t find this option within the Lightroom Desktop app. There’s no magic wand icon or Quick Actions panel on the desktop version. Is there a way to enable Quick Actions in the desktop app, or is this feature only supported on web and mobile? If not, are there any plans to bring Quick Actions to Lightroom Desktop in future updates? Would love to hear from others who’ve encountered this, and any official updates from the Adobe team. Thanks!
As of April 2025, Lr mobile "local" access is restricted to the Albums within the Apple Photos app. I would like access to any local files stored on the iPad, in my case an M2 iPad Pro 6th Gen. This is because I want to copy files from memory cards to local iPad storage, but not upload all files to Adobe Cloud. The Lr import browser can already access iPad Files locations, but this only shows a reduced size import window, unlike import from Connected camera/card, and does not have filtering, e.g. Photos or RAW.
Lightroom now supports keyboard shortcuts for assigning color labels — a long-awaited improvement. However, there’s a glaring inconsistency: no shortcut exists to remove a color label (i.e., set it to “None”). This breaks the fluidity of the labeling system. Users can assign Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue with a single keystroke, but removing a label (possibly set by mistake) requires manual menu navigation. It’s inefficient and frustrating for anyone working quickly with large batches of photos. Please add: A shortcut for “None” (e.g., 0 or Shift + 6–9) And maybe a shortcut for “Purple” to complete the set Better yet, allow users to customize shortcuts for all label actions. This small fix would make a big difference for power users. Thanks for listening!
Google is the most used search engine, as it comes with drive and google photos for free!! And can buy extra storage as well. I save and share a bunch of photos through Google photos and it would super helpful to be able to import and export or share photos to google photos. Who else would love this!
I think some kind of "sorting mode", in which lightroom displays JPEGs instead of RAWs to decrease load time and transfers any changes (e.g. star rating, flag rating) to the respective raw files would be a great addition. For sorting though, sometimes a couple thousand images, after an event, I need to see the images in full resolution as quickly as possible to judge sharpness, composition, eyes open etc.. With many RAW images, this load time tends to get very slow at some point (even on a 2025 M4 MacBook). Just for reference: If I sort though 1500 images and each takes a second to load because lightroom has to read the large RAW files, thats at least 25 minutes of me just waiting there for images to load. Considering that I only need to see most images for just 1 or 2 seconds to decide whether it is trash or could maybe be good, this really adds up. So it would be great to couple the respective RAW and JPEG files (or generate new JPEGs for this purpose) and have a toggle
I am writing to express my appreciation for Adobe Lightroom, which remains one of the most reliable and innovative tools for photo editing. The app’s design, efficiency, and continuous improvement have made it an essential platform for creators of all levels.I would like to share a suggestion that could further enhance the user experience. Currently, advanced features such as Masking, Background Removal, and Actions are available only to premium users. It would be highly beneficial if free users could access these features on a limited daily basis (for example, 5 or 6 edits per day).Allowing limited daily use would help users build a stronger connection with Lightroom and encourage long-term engagement, instead of feeling distanced from the app due to unavailable features. Over time, this familiarity could also motivate more users to upgrade to premium.Additionally, I suggest maintaining a dedicated feature preview page within the app—where users can view, understand, and test the resu

I work with 1000's of pictures at a time. I process images in bulk, as many are under similar lighting conditions. When I copy the edit settings from 1 pic and paste them throughout a batch, I have to wait for the process to complete before I can start my next pasting job. Could you build a feature that stores "copy/paste" settings in, say, five or more 'slots' of 'copy/paste memory' so I can run several batch pasting processes in async mode? I see that "Export" and "Paste" operations can run in parallel. Multiple export sessions can also run in parallel. Something similar for "Paste" would be nice.
Lightroom offers advanced AI-driven features like auto-editing, culling, and stacking. My aim is to use Lightroom as my sole program for reviewing and editing local photos, eliminating the need for both Adobe Bridge and Lightroom. Here are the Lightroom features I need to fully switch from Adobe Bridge: Allow adjustment of the Info Panel (I) width, similar to how we can resize the Photos Panel (P). Make it possible to display the filmstrip across the entire bottom of Lightroom while keeping both the Info Panel and the Photos Panel open, mirroring the modular panel functionality in Adobe Bridge. Improve the display of long filenames when viewing local files in Zoom mode (spacebar), possibly by showing the full name underneath the photo. Support importing local folder structures (and their photos) into Albums. Enable exporting the Cloud Albums folder structure (and photos) locally without relying on the destructive Archive Folder Locally feature. Provide "Stacks" functionality fo
How do I display file names in grid display for the cloud based Lightroom CC on my desktop? I see how to do this on the mobile version, but I'm not having any luck on the desktop one. ThanksSteve
I would propose to either change or remove the presentation option in LR mobile. I presume it is meant to show pictures as a kind of slideshow or comparable to a photoframe but showing pictures at a rate of 60 pictures a minute does have an unhealthy impact on the human brain. If you look at pictures changing every second you will get overstimulated, and it may cause headaches and sleeping problems. That has been proven in psychological studies. Please make this option 'presentation' presentable in a way photos can be enjoyed again
