It would be really useful for me if there was a list of locally stored albums available in the Local Storage settings section. I use folders heavily and use multiple devices so it's easy for me to lose track of what albums are locally stored without drilling down in each folder to find what is stored. A simple list in the settings with an option to remove would make my life a lot easier.
It dives me crazy - that I can´t see the same topics in Lightroom as in fileinfo in photoshop. I am missing important fields like, "instructions" (always writes the terms of use fore each image here), "headline" and its very confusing that "person show" field also is missing. How is it possible to change that ? THANKS A LOT Jakob
Hi,Please could the recipient of a supplied Collection link be able to download full res files (if held on the server). This could be an option in Mobile and WebThanks
Seems that double tapping to zoom in Lightroom Mobile on iPad Pro is inconsistent and never yields actual 100% image pixel to display pixel view. Initial zoom factor appears to depend on actual image file resolution and is about 75% zoom with image files from my D500, but closer to 50% zoom with files from my D850. Repeatedly double tapping eventually yields something closer to 200% zoom for image files from both cameras. I’ve seen a few posts dating back a year or more on this subject and none have been answered. Are there implementational issues with iOS and/or certain mobile devices with adding this functionality? Needless to say an accurate 100% pixel to pixel view is a very important feature to be able to consistently assess image sharpness/detail and noise.
Hello everyone, Why can you not implement the same settings / options for Lightroom (Lr) to Photoshop (Ps) that you have for Lightroom Classic (LrC) to Photoshop (Ps)? I understand that you try to male Lr an easier option, but I don’t think it would be that bad to have options. Example: In LrC I can define if I want to use PSD or TIFF for the files that were edited in Ps, in Lr the only option is TIFF. In LrC I can rework an existing PSD file, when I see there are more changes needed. In Lr the system will create always a new file, after multiple changes I have multiple files and have to delete the versions that I don’t need. As soon as I edit a file in Ps the filename will be changed, after 3 rounds I have 3 times the text „-Edit“ in my filename. In LrC I can define how the new filename should look like. Please contact me if you have any questions, Thanks Kind regards Ralf I use MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017, Intel Core i7 / 16GB / 500GB SSD) with macOS
I would like to propose an improvement to Lightroom Mobile that enhances the flexibility of working with masks. Specifically, adding the ability to copy masks to a clipboard and apply them to other layers, both for blending and subtraction purposes. This feature would significantly increase the creative possibilities and provide users with more flexibility when designing graphical content. By implementing this functionality, Lightroom Mobile would not only streamline the workflow but also cater to advanced users who seek precision and efficiency. It would empower creators to develop more complex and intricate designs directly on their mobile devices, making the app even more versatile. Despite the remarkable advancements brought by the new AI features in Lightroom Mobile, which have elevated photo editing to a new level, there is still room for improvement when it comes to the flexibility of working with masks. Masks are one of the main reasons I appreciate Lightro
It is very useful, especially for street photography, to be able to quickly open the camera without face id unlock and so on. Just press camera control button while getting the phone out of the pocket, and you are ready to shoot. Many different iOS camera apps already implement it, but I find Lightroom camera the best out now, especially with instant upload to the cloud.
I tried finding a thread for this subject because I cant believe I am first to ask...so if it has already been asked be nice...I tried 🙂 In Lightroom Desktop it would be nice to be able to duplicate Smart Albums to simplify organizing of photos. This can be done easily in LRC but I do not believe the functionality exists in LR. A simple example of how I would use it. I take photos in a variety of subjects...landscape, my dogs, astrophotography, Infrared, you get the idea... I was trying to basically create one album per subject and then create smart albums to say sort them by year or by camera or any number of items. Many of the Smart Albums are very similar to one another with only small tweaks between them...it would be so much easier to be able to duplicate them and modify as to not have to start from scratch each time. Just a thought...
It occurs to me that many of my students, and I myself are now equipped to take too many photos to keep even a fraction of, yet there is a sense of loss in leaving nineteen out of twenty behind. It might be appreciable and lead to less sense of loss while using the software if one has the ability to create a single mp4 reel from every photo taken in a day. It could be set as a default or as a single click option on each import. They could be set to jpeg small or large. It would add only a modicum of time to the import as JPEGs are being genereted on import already. There is obviously a difference between a documentary outproduct and an artistic one, and this would mitigate the tension between thses two impulses. The artist will feel more free to eliminate chaff if they know that the particular documentary capacity of every photo is accounted for. That artistic mindset wiould be liberated to fearlessly focus on what photos speak singularly. I know you have been toying with using ai to a
I share very large online Albums with other people, but I would love for them not to always get the same pictures all the time. I would like the option to have a "random sort". This would also be VERY useful for when I do a slide show, the pictures are not progressing in the same order all the time.
For Desktop and Web: Post directly to Instagram from Lightroom (new) through a Connection. This would save so much time! Nice to be ale to do it from Mobile but would be great for the, more common, Desktop workflow as well.
For once, the iPad version has something useful that the laptop version does not! When importing photos to the iPad version, the hundreds/thousands of photos on the import screen are broken up by date/grouped by date. This allows the user to toggle all the photos just for each day they wish to have imported. With the laptop version, while they are in capture order, all the photos are in one continuous field, not divided by day. Users must toggle 'Select All' is they want all of them, or do the usual click the first, the find the last and shift-click it, then toggle the check mark. Having what could be hundreds or thousands of phtoos on the import screen organised by day makes this process much simpler, especially when travelling and accumulating photos each day. Even better would be allowing users to toggle day or day+hour for really intense photo sessions.
Could it be possible to add a shortcut or some kind of option to delete rejected photos? Currently, this process in Lightroom is somewhat cumbersome. In Lightroom Classic, there is a quick and easy shortcut. I recently switched from Classic to Lightroom and cannot find this option or feature. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Dear Adobe Team, As a professional fine art photographer, I work daily with large image files, often in PSB format, due to the extensive editing, layering, and high resolution my work requires. I rely on Adobe Lightroom as a central part of my creative and archival workflow—both on desktop and through the mobile app on Android. Unfortunately, I’ve encountered a significant limitation: PSB files do not sync to Lightroom Mobile, making it impossible for me to access, showcase, or follow up on my work while on the move. This is not just a practical inconvenience but a real disruption to my creative process. I need mobile access to my work—including the large, detailed pieces—not only for presentation but also for reflection and development. I strongly urge Adobe to prioritize support for PSB files across the entire Lightroom ecosystem, including the mobile app. It would be a tremendous help to those of us working in fine art photography and other demanding image formats. Thank you in adva
I take photos on my iPhone and I want to chose 1 to edit and then post where I chose. I do not want to auto sync every photo I take with the app. I have to put my phone in airplane mode to stop this process. Otherwise my slow DSL upload is all clogged up by this app uploading everything I take. Please give me a switch to disable the auto sync on the iphone.
I've had Lightroom (Premium) for 2 years now and just one of the things I would love to add to my editing is where you could add shadows, exposure, highlights etc on a single thing. I would call it a "Subject Chooser" it would consist of the same code/tool for subject detecting but with my suggestion, you can select a single object, person or part. For example, I want to add shadows to a specific person so within the "Subject Chooser" feature I can press "Manual Chooser" so it does another scan and finds it and only highlights/masks that thing. A photo below is an example of what I would use my suggestion for, the person in the middle is a bit under exposed and I would love some more shadows. That's where I could use that feature. Hope you consider my idea, - Ty
I would love the ability to toggle certain UI items off for a more minimal interface on IPad. 1. The bottom bar showing library, device and community tabs. Since I import directly from an SD card I never use the device tab, or the community tab, so I would prefer to disable this bar altogether for less distraction. 2. Photos view on the library sidebar. Due to adobe's data harvesting I will never use this feature. Please give us the option to permanently hide it away.
When I'm using a Pencil in Lightroom I'm not intentionally giving any finger touch inputs whatsoever. Photoshop on the iPad has a "Stylus only painting" option that ignores finger touches on the canvas and only accepts touches from the stylus. Lightroom for iPad needs the same setting. There's a brush tool in Masks that I use all the time, and this is no different from painting in Photoshop. Unfortunately not having this setting means that errant touches happen all the time. I'm especially having this issue right now. See the attached photo. See all those straight lines? Those are happening because Lightroom is connecting a touch (my hand resting on the screen while I use the Pencil) with the pencil itself when it hits the screen.
The People interface becomes cumbersome to manage with photo collections of any size even on large monitors. Request the People user interface be extended to support groupings of people, and initial capability and use case would be families based on the meta data of the last name. Future releases could support a person being tagged as not part of the family name and and/or give it a seperate family objects. The feature could be implmented with a slider showing Groups on|off and would then place the images in groups with a face shown allow the user to dive deeper. For example, if I clicked on Brown, it would show all the people with Brown as the last name. The initial group on view probably shouldn't include unmarked people.
Hello community and Dev Team!Currently, the "Lightroom" provides a crop overlay for grids, etc. A slight inconvenience about this is that the grid does not appear when you are using the up/down keys to fine-tune the straighten. (It appears when moving the bar with the mouse and when hovering over the image.) It would be helpful if the overlay could be enabled when hovering the straighten bar or at any time, so that manual adjustments could be easy and accurate. Thanks & Regards,
Hi, I think magnifying glass in guided lines should also be included in the mobile version of Lr. It would make it a lot easier to operate 🙂 Cheers
Large video (1G+) downloading is hard on mobile
Hi all, I would love it if there was a collage feature for Lightroom CC and mobile so just putting the suggestion out there. Thanks
When u are trying to find a Album with specific person's face it's very difficult to find. I have almost 50,000 pictures on my drive. Hundreds of people faces. If I want to find a specific face in that people gallery it's very difficult. Feature suggestions would be to add a link from the pictures itself. In details section of the photo it's shows the photos of the people. But doesn't take u to their album. If we can have that feature. Then finding a person would be a lot easier
